About this property

This hotel is close to the Jardin Majorelle and a little out of the city center, excellent for leisure travelers interested in some noiseless relaxation. Guerliz is a friendly neighborhood, quiet with nice local shopping and a comfortable distance away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Medina area. Oriented more around airy and affordable leisure than business and brass tacks, enjoy a nice swim in the rooftop pool or a light meal in the elevated restaurant with fine views. Whether you're here to escape from the noise of inner-city travel or just interested in a clean, well-meaning place to bed down, the Le Caspien Hotel is a clean break from impersonal hotels.

Le Caspien Hotel Review Dec2014
Location; free breakfast
The staff at the hotel spoke very little English; very hard to have a conversation from them, get directions and recommendations of things to see, etc. There was no free Wi-Fi in the rooms and the free Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby was only working intermittently. We had a major problem with a change in one of our flights and couldn't Skype with the airlines through the Wi-Fi connection; we had to use the hotel phone in the lobby to make an international call which the hotel charged us $45 US for which we wouldn't have had to pay if their Wi-Fi was working. They were very unfriendly about out situation which wasn't our fault but that of the airlines cancelling a flight. It left us with a feeling that we would never stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to anyone.

Great Value
Terrific value for money
This hotel is a standard tourist class hotel. Probably a high two to low three star except in Morocco were hotels tend to rate themselves far too high. .Clean, reliable and centrally located with good efficient staff. My only fault is the shower which is in need of repair. Breakfast is provided, but do not expect too much. Fresh orange juice mixed with Tang and watered down coffee, bread rolls and such. Still for the money, i is very difficult to beat and highly recommended at this price point.

Le Caspien Marrakech
pleasant rooms, hot water, elevator
out of the main city and places you would want to visit but local shops and restaurants nearby
Hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. Rooms had the usual facilities but could be hot in the summer months - we were there in April and slept with the windows wide open and only a sheet on the bed. Being located in the new part of the city meant it was a 40 minute walk into the main square or the hassle of negotiating a price with a taxi. Breakfast was a rather strange combination of offerings and the juice was watered down! Can't imagine anyone using the pool as it was virtually in the middle of the restaurant area. Very nice restaurant nearby serving 'international food' when you've had enough of tagines and couscous!

A nice place to stay in Marrakech.
staff is welcoming and pleasant rooms are cleaned and convenient (shower, air conditionning) quiet area well located in Gueliz (north East of the Medina)
swimming pool slightly too small room where the breakfirst is taken is not really actractive
We spent two nights in the Caspien. This is an hotel to be recommended; because it is well located, easy to access (Gueliz), and in a quiet part of the city. So you may rest from your visits, and take a breath of quietness, freshness, and kindness. The staff is really welcoming and pleasant. You can easily go by walk to the Medina, and/or join other places to get a stage coach... kind regards Philippe

Good place to stay
Price, location, cleanliness
Orange juice at breakfast is not the proper stuff
Nice rooms with tiled floors, nice restaurant area. To get to the medina is easy a 3.5dh bus ride on bus no.1 from the end of the street takes you right to the big square. Very convenient for picking up an hire car to take you out of the city, also dead easy for the airport. Overall very convenient in a relaxing area of the city.

A pleasant stay in Le Caspien, Marrakech
Le Caspien is situated outside of the Medina, but it's just a 15 minute walk away. However, then you end up quite far from the main square where all the action is and will need to find your way through the labyrinth of small streets. So you, well at least I, quickly ended up with a self appointed guide which takes you off to one of the little shops/factories. Looking back I would rather have entered the Medina further down, i.e. making a longer walk from Le Caspien, to be able to stay a 'free' man for a bit longer.
