Comfortable Stay in Praslin”
Great staff, but even better food. Food here was the best, in whole Seychelles. Spa was also worth it. Had a very comfortable time there with my wife on our honeymoon. You can do kayaking and cycling for free. Staff was really amazing, they even had a fun group dance session after creole buffet(which was amazing itself). Room we stayed was comfortable as well, totally recommended.
Big Spoil at La Reserve”
My Hubby and I booked long in advance and therefore received a good rate and this was truly a wonderful experience. The room, and especially the bathroom were really spacious and stunning. we enjoyed the kayaking and swimming and just the overall experience was a special treat. Thanks to all.
Value For Money Not Good”
The location is beautiful and the staff is great, but it's not at all worth the money. The beds are hard and flat and we had a serious problem with ants in our room. They were everywhere - on the beds, the bath towels, everything. The food was probably the most concerning. It's not that it was necessarily bad, but the morning breakfast buffet was concerning. A lot of birds were landing on the food, on the spoons you'd use to scoop your food. I mean a LOT of birds. I can't image that would be sanitary.
Excellent resort ”
Great rooms, very good dinner buffets and breakfast. We rented a car to get around the island and the hotel had a parkingspot for the car. Without a car we would be stuck at the hotel beach and we would miss the beaches around the Island that are world class.
AMAZING ROOM and AMAZING BREAKFAST with lovely staff!
Hotel and location amazing. Our room was beach facing so the view each morning was beautiful. However, the food was disappointing. It lacks the Creole/Seychelles flavours and was too International for us. Shame since everything else was first class.
Beautiful hotel. Great location. Peaceful and tranquil. Staff should put a smiles on their dials”
We had a wonderful stay at La Reserve. The hotel really is beautiful and is situated in a tranquil and peaceful nook. The food was wonderful. The hotel serves buffet for breakfast and dinner, but the meals available change daily. The dinner buffet had a different theme every night. We absolutely loved the scenery, the snorkeling and the private beach. That being said, the staff really could do with some training in friendliness and using smiles to make guests feel welcome. We felt like we were inconveniencing the staff whenever we spoke to them. Very few staff members seemed cheerful and happy. In fact, it seemed as if they hate their jobs, which might be the case. I also found it frustrating that men are required to wear long pants to dinner. The last thing I felt like doing was dressing formally in high humidity and tropical conditions whilst on a beach holiday. There is no reason why men can’t be requested to wear smart short pants (e.g. Chino shorts and not swimming trunks).
Great way to spoil a perfect location”
Great location but that's about all. The general staff are exceptionally poor for the most part. From our arrival where the manager stopped our check in to basically someone else that just walked in after us to every little thing. They really make you almost feel unwelcome. Any small request seems like a pain for them and they are really unfriendly, like they're doing you a favour even with the most basic request. We asked for a blanket and were told they had run out. This is hugely surprising as your room only has a top sheet on the bed. Speaking of the room, it's incredibly basic and poorly decorated. One lone random picture hangs on the wall. The furnishings are old and the place looks like it needs a good scrub. I would say the restaurant staff are decent but really nothing to write home about, with the exception of Christopher who was excellent. I would definitely look at other options.
Aller sas good
stunning location - the service was excellent and very friendly
our beach facing rooms were amazing. the view the room the hotel the food everything was good. staff and service was great
Great stay in Praslin”
Our villa was superb. I had stayed at the hotel under the previous management twice in the early 1990's and in those times the breakfast choice and dinner options in the main restaurant were much better, so we were rather disappointed this time. The lunch option at the pool was fine though. However, a large percentage of the female staff were not very friendly, whereas the male staff were much more friendly. To sum up, the hotel did not match our expectations despite the fantastic location.
Wonderful time at Le domaine”
Our family had a wonderful time at Le Domaine . The location and private beach are excellent , staff was very helpful and friendly , the pool area and pool lunches were superb and the rooms are 5 star quality . The only criticism would be the absurd requirement for men to wear long trousers at dinner . We will definitely be back !!
no Internet in rooms and cleaning has to improve”
no Internet in rooms although there is a wifi connect box in the room. All they have to do is give us the username and password. My Ipad could connect in the room but asked others and nobody had Interent in the room. Dirt under the bed and got bitten all over Dirty dishes and ants in milk mug bikes are all big so if you are petite or have children, no biking beach is full of coralls and walking is difficult beds are very hard Food is good staff is friendly Pool is big, but cold water restaurant on the pier is the best in this hotel
Nice breakfast ”
Good location and nice breakfast But old room so totally not bad not good I feel
Great excursion ”
The atmosphere of this hotel is great. Although the hotel looks a little bit old, the facilities are maintained well. However, the color of water from fauset is slightly yellow and we found some sand(?) being accumulated. We joined an excursion booked via hotel customer relation. It was terrific since we enjoyed snorkel near small island which has beautiful coral leaf and tropical fish. Moreover, we landed small island where many big land turtles are living. The guide took us small walk which was one of the highlights of our travel. The cost was only 25 euro per person only!!
Amazing views and a sunset to die for. Location is beautiful and peaceful, and hotel is spacious and uncrowded. Food was excellent. Entertainment is limited, so for beach and nature lovers. Housekeeping needs tightening up, 3 days we were left without towels in the room, and the wake up call was 25 mins late with the taxi due. Gym equipment is in poor condition although probably little used by the honeymooners and mature couples that make up much of clientele. Didn't spoil the holiday and would recommend for the setting alone.
Perfect room on perfect bay”
Room and location were great. Breakfast buffet was also very good but dinner was expensive and of only average quality. Would love to be back in room now.
