Can't Think of Anything To Complain About”
Le Marceau Bastille Hotel was really ideal for our 3 day stay in Paris. Getting around to everywhere else while we were there was a snap, as the hotel is in easy walking distance from Gare de Lyon, Gare D'Austerlitz and the Bastille metro stop. The area it's in is pretty quiet, and PACKED with restaurants. Also a bonus. The hotel staff were very friendly, and spoke excellent English. They were helpful and courteous and always there when we needed them. The room itself was lovely. There were chocolates on our bed when we arrived. It was neat, peaceful, well-kept and relatively roomy, considering it's Paris. The bathroom was separate, private and had a full bath/shower. It's a pretty small hotel, with only a few floors, and not that many rooms per floor. So, it wasn't too crazy either. Nice if you like having less of a crowd around you. The art exhibit on the main floor/lobby was delightful. I understand they show different artists throughout the year. We never got breakfast at the hotel, so I can't speak to that. The only minor disappointment was the "gym". It was in the basement, which was surprisingly warm, stuffy and not well-ventilated. And the equipment was pretty sub-standard. I used one machine for 20 minutes, and it squeaked the whole time. No treadmill. Just a bike, a quasi-elliptical, a sit up bench, and maybe one other thing in there? So, if you're looking for a hotel with a gym (which I was), you'll probably be disappointed there. But I can't say I was surprised. I've found some American hotels equally shabby for what the qualify as a "gym". We picked up our stay for a bargain ($150/nt when factoring in taxes and fees). But I've paid much more for less at other stays, and would probably pay more for these accommodations in the future. Thanks for the great visit, Le Marceau Bastille!

Lovely hotel, great location ”
I stayed here because it was close to Gare de Lyon, after a long flight the friendly service, pretty room and long bath complete with complimentary bath salts was fabulous. The bed was super comfortable, there wasn't an amazing view but the room was brightly lit with daylight and had doors you could open to the street side. Air conditioning was great, there's a safe in the cupboard, slippers and a robe - all the small luxuries you would expect at this price. From the sign outside, the agoda price is a huge saving, although its still an expensive option compared to some other cities I was glad I spent the money for my own comfort. Also there's no need to use the expensive bar fridge items - there's a Carrefour supermarket just a block away where I bought a 2 litre bottle of water for 65cents (the 500ml in the bar fridge would cost you €4!). Also great location - 5/10 minute walk to Gare de lyon easy to find, i had a huge bag and it was not too bad to drag down the one main street from the airport shuttle bus stop (another reason i chose it) and 5 minute walk to Bastille and the metro, it's a great area! I would certainly consider staying here again on a short stay after a long flight.

Good place for a short trip to Paris”
I had to spend two nights in Paris for a conference and chose this hotel due to its proximity to Gare de Lyon. The hotel is rated as a four star establishment and I can confirm; while it is a very small place that looks more like a three start hotel at the beginning, a lot of attention is given to details, whether it's umbrellas for the guests, a pick-up service by private car to the airport or a very efficient dry cleaning service. It's close to the Gare de Lyon (5 min by foot), tucked in a little side street which is a little dodgy at night. There are a lot of restaurants around, and the Bastille with its metro station and little shopping street is not too far. The hotel really has small rooms but I didn't expect a big room, as rooms are generally on the smallish side in Paris. They gave me a very quiet room on the last floor overlooking the little courtyard. The room was charming and the bathroom very clean, however they sprayed something in the room just before I arrived (Febreeze) and the smell was overbearing, which I disliked. The staff is nice: the french receptionists are polite yet distant, but the staff in charge of the breakfast and the rooms (all with an immigration background, it seems) were lovely and very friendly. The breakfast is good, not a huge choice, but there are fruit juices, different patries and even an egg dish. All in all, a good experience, and I would choose this hotel again next time in Paris.

Le Marceau Bastille Hotel”
Really nice Hotel which we paid 120 euro a night incl breakfast -Aug 2-3.- The walk in price was 400 euro +24 for breakfast. I would of thought a price of around 200+ euro would of been about right for this Hotel. Cleanliness, service and breakfast were all of 5 star quality. Location was good with a quick walk to Gare de Lyon, gare d'austerlitz and the hop on/off ferry taking you to the louvre ,champs elysees, eiffel tower ect 16 euro for one day 18 for 2. We want to go again! Room size ok ours with small private balcony on the 6th floor.TV Channels in all languages incl Thai that my Thai wife enjoyed.

exceeded expectations”
We were in Paris for just one night and stayed at this hotel. the location is quite good (about 7 minute walk from Bastille underground station) however the staff made this stay exceptional. Nothing was ever a problem for them to organise. We were very happy with this hotel and will definitely be staying there next time we are in Paris.

We spent 5 nights at the hotel. The staff were kind and friendly and helped us with any request. Good location, the hotel is only 5 min walking distance to the Bastille Metro station and 10 minutes walking distance from the Marais district where you can find a lot of restaurants, bars and shops. The room was clean and the hotel lobby is warm and cosy.

Great hotel great location”
Good hotel in a quiet street near Bastille. Very central, close to metro. Clean room and great bed! One of the best hotels in Paris I slept in. Only breakfast for €24 per person is too expensive! We had breakfast in the neighborhood. Many options

It was a great stay!Great staff!Always very kind and helpfull.Good located, clean, well equipped hotel”
We were very happy with our stay. Everything was very well organised. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, just the wardrobe in our room was a bit small for two but we survived. We had practically all what we could need. Bathroom was very modern and new which is very important for us. We had even a small terrace which was great. Very good location, you could almost walk to all must see places. Staff was beyond great! They were always nice, kind and very helpful. They even suggested us restaurants, bars when we asked and all their suggestions were great. Overall, it was an excellent stay! We will suggest it to everybody to stay in Paris where is real difficult to find such accomodation from all aspects! And next time we go to Paris, would love to atay there again! Thanks for everything!

Well situated, stylish and comfortable hotel”
We were really pleased with this hotel and found previous reviews very reliable. The whole hotel seemed very newly refurbished and was comfortable, quiet and stylish. The location was very handy for the city centre and we walked everywhere, plus the area seemed very safe - even when we came back after midnight some nights. The staff were friendly and polite, and were able to speak English if necessary. The breakfast range was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights during our trip to Paris. Bastille area have nothing much to explore though. The hotel is situated in between the metro and Gare de Lyon station. Room is small but clean. Modern interior furnishings with air conditioned room. Breakfast are the same everyday during my stay in the hotel.
