Absolute best hotel/resort experience of my life - Comfortable, beautiful and KIDSCLUB terrific ”
Hard to exaggerate how good our experience was here. Beach is beautiful, private and secluded. Soft sand and protected in a cove so waves /current/surf never difficult. Cafe available on the beach - great food and drink. 5 different pools catering to every age and pursuit. Pool for babies, one for toddlers, one for those wanting to swim lengths and two huge ones for the average adult. Breakfast was always fantastic - range of food quite good, lots of healthy choices. Beds very, very comfortable. Balconies to enjoy the movement of light from early morning to evening. Lots of activities - tennis, watersports, golf practice for adults. The high point was that our 4 year old daughter LOVED going to kids club - so we didn't feel guilty catching some time to ourselves. Everything is so beautiful there, nice people... no complaints whatsoever.
Private beach is a plus”
Choose this hotel for it’s private beach...location is not close to any outside restaurant or shops. Everything has to do in hotel. It’s a huge hotel, but not new anymore. Selling point is their own beach and nice pool. Quiet busy in breakfast place...
problem about sea”
actually i love this hotel and 2 years ago we were here as well but problem is not hotel but in the sea there are a lot sealight fish which stings us 100 times all our body have pain and become red becuase of the sea we have no plan to come back again i think hotel needs to take necessary measurements
our room was in front of renovation , noise and dust”
good hotel with very nice beach, but we are given room facing construction site. the information was not properly stated, i thought the room was 150sqm but it was actually 60% of the state space are balcony. and 40% are room size. staff are helpful when we are ask to change room but unfortunately no room available. our little kid love the beach, will stay here again if we want some nice beach with lifeguard to check on our safety. breakfast is huge variety.
Satisfied with the overall cleanliness of the room. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. I was given a complimentary birthday cake during my stay. We also enjoyed the delightful breakfast that has a lot of variety. We'll definitely recommend this hotel and we will surely stay there again.
Nice employee, perfect service, amazing beach”
Very friendly employee and fast response! The swimming pool separated with functions. Private beach is clean and comfortable. The only weakness is the facility is a little old in the room. There is toilet smell in the room anytime.
Still one of the best Hotels in Phuket”
I have been coming to Phuket since 1994 and this is my 10th stay at the Le Meridien. Having stayed before on a few occasions in the previously named Royal suite, it was nice to see that it has been refurbished and is now the Grand Suite. standing on the wide expanse of balcony watching the sunset is still one of my great pleasures. The hotel is still in great condition and there are plenty of activities to entertain all ages. as it was off season some of the restaurants were being used on rotation but the selection was still good. I think attention needs paying to the nightly buffets as the quality seems to have dropped a bit here but the standard of food in Portofino and Wang Wahrin Thai Restaurant was excellent. Looking forward to some innovative dining changes next.
All in all it is a great place for a holiday. The hotel doesn't have a private beach but naturally it is a sole bay that noone can get into. Two things you need to remember: 1. all ocean view room are on high floor. there are totally 6 floors and it takes ages to get to your room, so we downgraded ourselves to a pool view room, to some of there it's a walking access. 2. you do need to have a mean of transportation when you are at this hotel. Ideally if you can drive a motorbike. Otherwise it feels a bit isolated. Taxis are expensive. Just to get out to the nearest Patong beach would cost you 300-400 Baht one way. While having a motorbike costs 300 Baht per day. 3. There is no shuttle bus to the airport.
awsome beach, not soo good brekfast”
very good with bad breakfast, very old restaurant except VIP brekfast, hotel is very clean. beach is the best and entertaiment on the beach. taxiand tuktuk absolutly incorecct and very high price (300bath) service on recepcion is excellent! lunch is very good on the beach. i think they have problem s with cleaning the swimming pool.
We love the Le Meriden brand hotels, they all have the best beds, feather pillows, and consistent good quality. The staff are professional and helpful. The concierge desk was exceptionally helpful. They upgraded us to a terrace suite for a small extra fee and it was absolutely the nicest room. This was our sixth time at the Phuket hotel and we will be back!
Nice and clean
Good hotel, excellent location. This is a high capacity hotel, so the breakfast is quite busy and you may have to wait for a table if you arrive after 8am. Overall good place to stay, and the beach location is excellent
Not too bad, however half of the pool was under construction so we didn't get to use it fully. Hotel has some free activities for the guests but when we were there it was raining heavily so many activities were cancelled... Need more food options
Food issues only”
Food is just awful. Dear All, Poor breakfast and dinner buffet quality. I spoke about it with their staff and few of them admitted that a lot of people complained too. Their restaurant A La Carte is a joke. What the poor standard. Definitely not the Le Meridien hotles standard. Their chef sounds to be German. Very poor professional standard i believe. Must be focus on food cost only to pleased his top management. (I hope this is the reason). Otherwise they better change Best regards, Manuel
Excellent hotel in every which way. ”
Pros: great location with a private beach and water sports making it very exclusive. Plenty of speciality restaurants including Italian, Thai and international cuisine. Big swimming pools. Spa with a wide menu of massages. Polite and helpful staff. Cons: They asked us to deposit 10,000 bhats at check in to enable us to sign for the services in the hotel. Otherwise we'd had to pay after each meal and any other service utilised. On the whole a great experience and true value for money.
All in all was a lovely hotel and friendly staff. The restaurants are a little overpriced though but as it's very easy to get to either Patong or Kata Beach areas from there we ate out most nights. One complaint was that the toilet rolls were not replenished and a couple of times I had to ask them to supply more! Really enjoyed our stay there and would consider going back. The private beach is a definite attraction as there aren't many hotels in that area with direct access to the beach.
A huge but useless swimming pool”
The hotel probably gets a higher reviews than it deserves as it is a family resort largely with visitors on a two week annual leave. I booked full board only to find that the lunch and dinner were very much on restricted menus. I was given vouchers for myself and my partner and a child’s card for my four year old and lectured not to misplace it as it would not be replaced. The drink prices were exorbitant, a beer, and a couple of soft drinks costing around 800 baht (USD 23). On one meal we were asked “water’ to which I said yes, only to find that it was not only not free but was Evian for which they charged 400 baht (USD 12). I found that the hotel took the opportunity of cashing in at every opportunity. No free Wi-Fi here; one of the remaining few establishments which still charge. The cost for room Wi-Fi was 400 baht a day or 1,600 for five days. On arrival I found that room had not been checked over; the control apparatus was not functioning, the water in the bathroom sink and shower was not draining properly. The swimming pool is huge and is deeper than what is normal, 6.6 ft. and has no gradient; probably the reason why it is virtually empty most of the time while there are several hundred guests present. Certainly not suitable for play or for children (except the pool for infants) The sea was extremely rough and totally unsuitable for swimming. My visit was in October; I do not have knowledge of other times. When I left the room one afternoon I left the keycard in the slot as I required to have the electric kept on to recharge my iPad. Upon returning the afternoon housekeeping had not only removed the key but “confiscated” it. Like a naughty schoolboy I had to formally request another. All in all, this is not IMO a five star hotel.. The hotel may be fine for the two weeks a year guests who like to be controlled but I found that I was stressed out with their school-run-like attitude.
Terrific beach location”
Terrific hotel for a relaxing holiday. Must be one of the best private direct beach access locations in the world. Sea view rooms are very well worth a little extra. Staff are terrific and facilities and services are very good. A little away from everything which is good and bad but we had a fabulous short stay
Stayed 7 nights here, had a wonderful time. The resort was immaculate, staff were lovely and the location and facilities amazing. Value for money on food and other resort purchases isn't the best but would still recommend this resort as a wonderful place to stay, with amazing facilities right on the beach.
