Our family liked to stay in this hotel since the past when it was still under the Movenpick management. This was especially so because we had always stayed in the Heritage Wing. This is our first stay under Le Meridien management and in the Contemporary Wing. The room looked smaller and less classy but overall we still liked the experience very much. Plus points:- - Fantastic location just across the road from the Merlion Tower where there is a KFC, 711 convenient shop, Coffee Bean, etc. - Rooms are in general bigger than other hotels in Sentosa - Price is cheaper than other hotels in Sentosa. - The ground floor of the hotel is much quieter compare the bunch of hotels around AWS which are very rowdy and gave me the feeling of a supermarket. - The hotel staffs were generally very helpful and friendly. We were given a parking lot despite an on-going wedding reception - a much needed help in the heavy rain rather than parking at Beach carpark. The 3rd bed for my daughter was delivered very promptly. Minor points to suggest: - At the hotel main entrance, there used to be a nice Zen like fragrance. That always gave us the feeling of calmness and peace especially in the evening. Will be good to bring back that fragrance. - The welcome drink on the day of our arrival was too diluted. I could only taste water and barely a tinge of the fruits. - The gel-like body wash and shampoo was rather difficult to use. Could consider changing the bottles to a more classy one like before and in the liquid form rather than gel.
Value for Money.Comfortable and Cosy.”
Moevenpick Heritage Hotel Singapore is one of the few hotels that gives you the wonderful ambience to rest and relax, perfected with a scent that lingers to soothe your senses. It is walking distance from Resort World Sentosa which houses attractions such as Universal Studios Singapore and World’s Largest Aquarium, S.E.A Aquarium where you can see the playful dolphins up close. It is also located next to the monorail station “Imbiah Station” where you can go around the whole Sentosa Island, filled with endless activities and attractions. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It is a real value for money if you were to compare it to other hotels on Sentosa. Not forgetting the free mouth-watering Movenpick ice-cream. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
One of a kind hotel on Sentosa”
For those who want to be steps away from the Sentosa Univeral Studios attractions but not be in the middle of a HardRock, don't need the high profile (and high price tag) of Capella but want some level of serenity, then Movenpick is a good choice. This hotel has something to offer for those traveling as a family or traveling solo. I went solo to enjoy some relaxing downtime, but the hotel has plenty of amenities to satisfy a vacationing family with kids and there were plenty of kids around. And because it is right in the center of Sentosa and steps away from a nearby monorail station, it serves as a good base for exploring the island. The "Heritage" portion of the complex that houses bar, restaurant, tea lounge is in good shape; however, the majority of the hotel rooms are in a wing that doesn't seem to be old but is definitely quickly showing its history. Probably not the best built hotel, probably not 5 star compared to other 5 star establishments in Singapore, but definitely a good value for the money with a classy atmosphere.
Fantastic Suite, Excellent Location, Great Service”
My family of 3 (me, hubby & 14-month-old little girl) enjoyed our 2D1N stay at Moevenpick. It was a last minute plan and we only booked the Heritage Premium Suite less than a week before. Rooms at Resorts World Sentosa were either too expensive or not available and I had to look for alternatives. It turned out to be the a blessing in disguise! We arrived at the hotel at 10.30am and were able to check in already! And what a beautiful suite with a huge bathroom. Bathroom came with two basins, a huge bathtub and a shower cubicle with rain shower. Loved it! The bed was huge and very comfortable (though it was a little too high for our little girl), and the living room had a nice sofa and a huge TV. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch, and there's another TV in the bedroom. The interior of the suite was tastefully designed and the blinds and curtains could be controlled using buttons at the bedside. Great feature! Nice view out of the huge floor to ceiling windows too. The complimentary ice cream was a nice touch and we got a serving of mochi (dessert) and fruit in the afternoon too. Nice surprise. And the location... really superb! The monorail station is right at its doorstep and it was so convenient getting to Universal Studios, the beach and everywhere else in Sentosa. Parking is free so we also drove out to Quayside at Sentosa Cove for dinner. Left the car in the car park after check out as we visited the S.E.A. Aquarium. Buffet breakfast had good variety. Usual western fare, an egg station, nasi lemak, Chinese dim sum, cheeses, lots of danish pastries, etc. We loved the swimming pool too. Sun deck were built on the pool itself, on the shallow part, maybe only 30-50cm deep, where my little girl could sit in the water with her head above the water. The rest of the pool is 1m deep, which is very good for us, as we could carry our girl wading in the water comfortably. Got a great value deal on Agoda and it was really a fantastic staycation. Could not stop ravin
I was excited to stay at this Hotel, as I remembered the building from past trips....nice old heritage type building that looked a little like parts of the Raffles Hotel. Whilst I loved the stay at this hotel, they have captured little of the character of what was a classic building and hardly can reasonably call it "Heritage". Once inside, you could be in any non-descript modern hotel anywhere in the world. The view from the sun lounges at the pool of the new tower block reminds me of a cheap motel 6 in the USA....pretty boring view from what is a lovely pool with some nice ideas..ie: sun lounges in 6 inches of water, infinity pool etc. The rooms are very nice, spacious and quite modern. The bathrooms are innovative and certainly up there with the nice hotels around the world. Definately a plus for the hotel. One thing though...the door to the rooms must be very thin as you can hear everything, almost whispers when people are walking along the breezeways outside your room. It is very noisy in the quiet of the night. I don't think the tiled style walkways does anything for noise reduction. Dragging suit cases sound like trains rolling along and the quietest of voices are easily heard inside the rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful, well presented, proud of their hotel and typical of the good natured people you find all over Singapore. It still astounds me though that quality hotels like the Movenpick don't offer free wifi. Not even in the public areas of the hotel. Surely these days, it should be a given that wifi is not only available, but free to guests. I can sort of understand a cheap hotel milking those few extra bucks out of you, but when you pay a fair price for a hotel, then I want to have free wifi. After all, I can get it just about everywhere else...airports, MacDonalds and almost every resturant. Overall though, nice place to stay....very convenient location on Sentosa and would certainly consider staying again.
good hotel although half of it still being built”
this hotel is in the perfect spot to explore sentosa island. on the positive - staff are friendly. nice pool, very nice bed and very nice shower and bathroom. on the not so good - our particular room had a view overlooking a carpark, but i guess you want to be exploring sentosa anyway, not looking out your window. few little things - first night - no facecloths in room. after room service, we now had facecloths, but they never refilled the tissue box for our entire stay. the room attendant had an eye for detail in other areas however, and i liked the fact that they tidied all of my makeup in bathroom and arranged neatly. room service food and drink is pricey, but to be expected in singapore. staff were friendly enough. breakfast was good, pool was nice. only one wing of the hotel is actually complete, which we did not realise (thought this was a finished hotel). once it is complete, i think it will be a very nice hotel. there was some noise during the day while builders worked, but did not affect us in our particular room (might have affected others) most hotels on sentosa are expensive. this was good value considering all of the positives of the hotel.
Best hotel in SIngapore”
I was impressed by the service here specially the korean lady at front desk name Heidi, I've tried quite a few hotel in Singapore but this is the only hotel offer me to check in early .. And the staff is very polite and friendly and their service is totally customer come first . The room size is ok, clean and modern design. The bed is very very comfy . Love the blind slide that totally cover the sunlight in the morning . They have a breath taking swimming pool , only downside is no changing room at the pool. Tried the restaurant, the food is good, value for money. Unlike the hotel in the town, expensive but nasty. Had a very bad experience at marina mandarin hotel who rated as 5 star too, refuse to let me check in earlier and madero unpacks luggage at the lobby and shower at the gym room with no basic amenities , told them I had to attend a lunch meeting and I gotta dress up still they don't let me check in unless I top up 50 SGD .. Don't ever stay in Marina Mandarin !! Moven pick is very near to all attraction. And you can also see the sentosa merlion is just right in front . Love everything bout this hotel. Best hotel so far in Singapore . Would definitely recommend all my friends to stay there ..
Beautiful stay on Sentosa Island”
The staff at this hotel are simply what makes it amazing. The first thing you will notice when you drive up is an old heritage wing which is currently being renovated. The new contemporary wing where all the rooms currently are is beautiful and with many of the rooms you can look out straight at the Merlion statue which is a beautiful sight. The entire room and bathroom are fantastic and no noise from the current renovations could be heard from my room. The breakfast in the morning is lovely and certainly worth the money if you didn't get it included in your room rate. Our room included free WiFi which was extremely helpful and every morning the local paper was provided. For access to Resort World Sentosa it is a very quick walk or you can take the monorail for a 1 minute trip directly into the heart of RWS and where Universal Studios Singapore is. For those after a hotel for a Sentosa getaway I certainly would recommend the Moevenpick!
Superb & Convenient, will come back again”
We stayed 3 nights at Movenpick Sentosa. The hotel upgraded our room to Heritage Suite for our 16 year wedding anniversary. Room is spacious enough for 2 adults and 7 year old boy. Unluckily, we have no much time to relax in the hotel. Design and function of room is as 5-star hotel. 1 large basin for two, 1 separated WC cubicle and espresso machine are the plus. While no hook in toilet, can't close door between bedroom & toilet & unsoundproof internal wall are the minus. Anyway, our family is more than happy with it. With its location, it's only 5 minutes walk to our family attractions; Universal Studios, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Park, etc. It's also convenient to visit other attractions outside of Sentosa Island. Only 30 minutes with Sentosa Express & MRT, we can reach Esplanade. From there, we walked pass Helix bridge to Art & Science Museum, Garden by the Bay, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Sky Park. Our problem with my family is how to answer my kid when we'll visit Movenpick & Singapore again.
Nice hotel to stay at Sentosa”
i stayed only one night. the hotel is so good dan comfort. clean lobby and very welcoming moevenpick's ice cream. room layout is good. excellent for family. nice bathroom. nice view in the night with merlion statue beside hotel. overall, i like the hotel. especially, the hotel is near with imbiah station if you want to go to other place around sentosa or vivo city using sentosa express mrt or bus. the hotel also near with one of sentosa attraction point is merlion plaza, imbiah look out where you can see tiger sky tower, images of singapore, and food such as kfc. it is only 5 minutes walking from the hotel. very nice hotel.
Superb hotel that comes wirh a big S factor”
Movenpick continues to impress with this latest icon in Singapore. Here, you will have access to good food, good room conditions, and staff service. Never once did i felt out of place, and was glad that i chose this place, i had been to several other hotels in Sentosa, this hotel comes with a capital S factor, which can be read as Shiok (a local slang for Euphoria). My only little grouse is that for the price difference between the Club room and normal ones, perphaps, Movenpick can make the size of the former rooms bigger than the latter, as this will help to bring more pride to customers who rent the former rooms and show off those rooms to other non Clubroom customers. Still, it is a hotel with high-end comfort and fuss-free convenience, from check-in to check-out. Keep up the good performance!
Nice modern hotel, good location & service”
hotel is new, flat screen tv and huge bathroom, although the room size is a little small. view could be good in the future, but currently there's a construction going on, so our view was the construction site unfortunately. there's floor to ceiling window, so i'd imagine the view would be fantastic in the future! service was really good, everyone was friendly and greet you with a smile - which could be rare in singapore. the pool is quite small, not many space to lounge and relax as there were only 8 lounge chairs by the pool. location is right at the heart of sentosa, you can easily walk to the beach, to universal studio, to various attraction in sentosa, easy to find food around. breakfast was really high quality, not much selection but whatever is served is very tasty.
Comfortable, fair price, suitable for travellers”
Actually it's the first time we visiting to singapore, why choosing hotel in sentosa is that most activities we would like to attend were place at sentosa. Actually i booked for deluxe room but only spend a little to upgrade, then of course that we would like to upgrade. The hotel is just infront of the sentosa express station imbiah, very convience and nice hotel. i have to talk about the breafast in the hotel is really nice. My husband and I really love it. Hoping everyone coming here with fun.
Conveniently located in the heart of Sentosa”
Le Meridien is located right below Merlion Tram Station. It is also within a short 10mins walk to Resorts World Sentosa (where you have assess to a wide variety of restaurants as well as Universal Studios Singapore). Rooms were nice and spacious, equipped with a wide range of amenities.
Excellent stay w spacious room, will def come back”
Excellent, regret that we only stayed 1 night. Good value for the room, spacious, clean with a bonus pullout sofa bed for our eldest. Flexible check out time, location near Imbiah monorail station so easy access to most attractions on sentosa island. Peaceful atmosphere of the hotel also provides a restful night after a long day of exploring singapore/sentosa. Didn't get a chance to try out the food, but they have good rated restaurants at the hotel. The swimming pool wasn't for kids though, just a standard one. But it's okay since for kids it's better to go to fantasy land water resort. All in all, def tecommended and will def be back.
the movenpick heritage hotel sentosa is a fabulous hotel. the location is near to the rail station, the merlion, imbiah walk and resort world universal studio. the rooms are ultra modern with all of the amenities of a 5 star hotel. the staff were very nice and made us feel special every day and helped us with all of our needs. the hotel has a very nice infinity swimming pool and the entire hotel was maintained to a very high standard. i will stay at this hotel my next trip to sentosa singapore.
Loved it here”
Fantastic stay here. One of the cheaper hotels in Sentosa but still top notch. Room service efficient, food lovely, pleasant spotlessly clean room, luxurious bed. Great location next to a monorail station in Sentosa. Pool is quite small but lovely. If your Singapore trip includes a visit to Sentosa and Universal Studios you couldn't do much better than to stay here. I would definitely stay here again.
Perfect Getaway, Excellent Service”
Location: Conveniently located in front of Imbiah monorail station. Small F&B and convenient stores are also within a minute’s walk. Price: Managed to book a month ahead and enjoyed rates below S$200++ a night. Service: Check-in was a breeze and front desk were quick to provide welcome ice-cream, 3-day free monorail pass and room key. Pleasantly surprised when Mr Ken from frontdesk took notice of our details and asked if the stay was a pre-birthday celebration. As the date was several days ahead (more than a week), we were indeed not expecting any special from the hotel, however we soon found ourselves with a lovely cake in our room upon returning from dinner. Staff are among the friendliest; everyone greets you, bellboys, housekeepers, frontdesk and even the chef walking across. Rooms: Although the room was small, bathroom was spacious and provides a lovely bathtub. Daily essentials like cutlery, cuppa cups, hairdryer, in-room info were carefully hidden in anti-slam drawers. Large flat-screen TV. However, more viewing channels preferred (e.g. FOX, AXN, HK drama ch etc). Bathroom floorings were made of granite; no more stepping on ice-chilling cold floors when entering the bathroom in the morning. Seems like person designed this room for couples; huge bathtub, a pair of slippers with different sizes and dimming bedside lamps. In-room Breakfast: Aesthetic presentation, generous portions and mouth-watering food. Table came with warmer to ensure bacons and eggs stayed hot while dining on appetizer of fruits. Croissant and pastries were crisp even when cooled. Miniature bottle of Heinz ketchup was a cute addition to the table. Bed: Seems like the bed did not provide good support which caused a poorer quality of sleep, even though it did improve on the second night. Conclusion: Best value for money hotel on Sentosa Island, given its standard of service and room experience. Its friendly staff and quality of food makes up for its limited hotel and room space.
Brilliant stay, fantastic staff”
I've recently returned from quite a long trip to around 9 countries, staying at around 12 different hotels. All hotels stayed at on this trip were 4.5 stars and up. Out of all these hotels, Moevenpick Heritage Sentosa was the best of these. Firstly, the rooms, while small, were very comfortable, well airconditioned and had spacious bathrooms with good water pressure. The rooms are very modern with electronic everything, including motorised double blinds. The TV setup also has a bay where you can plug all the gadgets in. Secondly, the pool is large and has deck chairs that sit in a shallow step in the water. Lastly, the staff were amazingly helpful. I had an evening out with some friends and we probably all had a bit too much to drink. Fortunately, I was able to still get them into a cab and back to the hotel from Clarke Quay. When the staff realised that I was struggling to usher my two friends into the room, I was immediately surrounded by 5 staff members assisting me to carry/support them, and provide me with bottles of water. After the ordeal, I went outside the hotel for a cigarette, and none of the staff made any issue of the matter. In summary, I highly recommend the Moevenpick in Sentosa.
Celebration for my daughter’s first birthday.”
Le Meridient made me feel so welcomed from the moment I stepped into their hotel. I loved how seamless the check-in process was, even offered to keep the birthday cake at their restaurant (the in-room chiller wasn’t big enough) till we need it, brought us to our room. The room itself is so breath taking. We requested for a room facing the Merlion and it did not disappoint at all! Not only was the window hugeeeeee, they also had a button to bring the blinders down for privacy purposes. I loved how everything was just a touch of a button away. We got the Heritage Suite, which has a separate living “room” with sofa bed. It was huge enough to have a cosy celebration like we had as there was ample space for everyone to walk and also sit around. The bathroom is my fav part of the hotel room! This is the first hotel that I’ve been in that they have separate shower and toilet area, both with their own doors. And the bathtub was hugeeeee!!! We had kids over for the celebration and all of them were enjoying the bathtub together, including my one year old! The only downside to the bathroom is that there’s no bidet hose or inbuilt bidet in the toilet. We would definitely return!!!!! Thank you Le Meriedien for making my daughter’s celebration a memorable one!
