Very nice stay here”
After staying right in the middle of the city it was really nice to be a tiny bit further out yet still within walking distance 15/20 minutes so we were able to see much more of the city. This hotel is good and great value for money we stayed in one of the villas which were more than comfortable for our needs but after walking around and seeing the pool views rooms I’m not sure the extra cost of the villas is worth it. The breakfast is buffet style with a pretty vast choice and what we had was good. They ran a shuttle bus to and from town and dropped us to the airport in the morning, we would happily stay there again instead of the town center as you get so much more for your money here, I would recommend this hotel to family and friends
Great food , friendly staff and comfortable room!!”
The room was amazing, everything was in excellent condition. Staff were very friendly but some had problem with communication. Overall , the hotel and food was excellent. If privacy and quiet is what you looking for , this hotel is prefect!!!! The only thing we felt , they should bring back the hotel spa. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we return to Luang Prabang.
staff very helpful. Hotel enviorment very beautiful. Ideal place for lazy relaxation.
Beautiful Resort, definitely 5 Star”
I was so pleased with our stay at the Le Palais. From the moment we entered the grand lobby, the staff greeted my family with bright smiles and fresh lemongrass water. The check-in process was easy and fast. The best part was the room. The best part of the hotel is the extremely comfortable bed. The sheets were top quality and the mattress was premium quality. This place was spotless and I highly recommend!
The hotel is located in the very beautiful settings. The room is also very clean and well-designed. I personally like their wooden floor in the room very much! Their staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and love their organic vegetables from their own farm! This is one of the best hotels!
Very friendly staff”
I went here with my wife and was very happy with the hotel. They had upgraded us to one of the villas. The staff was very accommodating and I had a super experience while staying here. Mr Thieu from reception went above and beyond to arrange all of our excursions
This place was quiet and simple but clean and had everything we needed. It is a little far out of town and the shuttle bus is not very regular but we used tuk tuk to get around. The food was surprisingly good considering how quiet the restaurant was. The pool was freezing! Overall though a peaceful break.
Thank you for taking the time to send in a review and for the nice rating. We hope to be able to welcome you back to our hotel. Happy New Year!
BEST EXPERIENCE AT A HOTEL”
Everyone here was so kind and helpful. The rooms were super comfortable and the staff was so awesome. We had complementary fruit and breakfast! The breakfast options were great. Me and my family went crazy. Would definitely recommend this place for people wanting to escape from the busy city but still a 10 minute drive away.
Thank you so much for the generous description. We hope to be able to be of service to you and your family again. Happy New Year!
Charming hotel !”
I booked this hotel online because it was one of the less expensive options at $80 US/night. I was picked up from the airport and take them to the property which was a beautiful sprawling complex. Amazing pool tucked in the hills. Part of the property gave way to private villas which I saw and were just splendid. My room was located on the second floor overlooking the pool from the private balcony appointed with chairs and a table. The room has a king size bed and ensuite bathroom including every complementary amenity possible. There were English channels on the television. But the view, the view was magnificent. The staff were warm, friendly and inviting. I have lived in Asia for sometime now and the food I had was hands-down some of the best. I would highly recommend this property at twice the price.
Lovely stay. Thank you.”
The staff at Le Palais Juliana were fantastic and the little extras made all the difference. Villa apartment was large and rustic in beautiful garden setting. The hotel is 10 mins from town, but regular free shuttle bus make the trip easy. Lots of tasty breakfast options each day. Highly recommended.
Greetings from Le Palais Juliana! Thank you so much for taking the time to send in a review. Thank you too for your recommendation of our Hotel. We hope to see again in the near future.
was so nice”
everything was perfect
It is not within walking diistance from the center but we knew that and had a car so it was perfect! Staff very nice, friendly and helpful with all the infomatiion and requests! Rooms are spacious and the pool very relaxing
Outstanding Resort style Hotel.”
Outstanding Value again from Agoda for the style of this property.Rooms were large, very comfortable and amenities good.Appreciated tea&coffee in room. Breakfast which was included in the rate was very good.Large pool area, massage services and landscaping excellent Located a little to far out of town but we enjoyed the relaxation and the resort services.
As a business traveler, we often spending much of our time in the hotel during night time. So I surely recommended Le Palais Juliana Hotel to someone that prefered peaceful night life from the ordinary hatic night life of urban areas. The manager and the staffs were very nice and helpful. Tq Le Palais.
It’s not far away from city but very tranquil place with scheduled shuttle bus. We enjoyed our stay.”
Staff are nice and hospitality.
Thank you so much for your great review and an excellent score. Hope to be able to welcome you again.
Great hotel for adult travellers”
Hotel was clean and relaxin. Staff were extremely responsive to request. Facilities were great too. Overall the hotel excellent but a bit far from Luang Prabang town centre. The stay could generally be improved upon by having more frequent dedicated shuttle service into the town centre.
Thank you Yik for your review. Your kind words are appreciated. We hope to see you again soon.
A welcome retreat ”
Our four night stay was lovely, at times we were the only ones at the hotel so had the pool to ourselves most days. Hotel seems to cater more to the package tourist rather than individuals. Buffet breakfast was well catered for - we ate local Laos breakfast foods like the spicy noodle soup - delicious. Had one meal in the restaurant in the evening, food was very good, nice and spicey. Ate in town on other nights and was surprised that no one was in the restaurant. Staff were all very helpful and lovely. Little English spoken by most staff.
Great surroundings. World Class Concierge”
We stayed a week, so we had plenty of time to assess. Boun Thant may be one of the best concierges I have come across in many top hotels. The villa was great. Breakfast had a wide variety. Excellent service!
2 nights not long enough”
It was a very nice stay. It was my first time to Luang Prabang and the hotel was the oasis at the end of the two long days of sight seeing. The Hotel has an awesome pool and it was extremely relaxing to sit on the balcony drinking BeerLao and eating one of the best Papaya Salads I have ever had. The rooms are lovely and the Staff were great.
Beautiful Hotel let down by the management”
This hotel's selling point is its swimming pool, surroundings and nice rooms. It ends there. Our booking included free airport transfer which I dutifully filled in the details on agoda and it confirmed sent. There was noone at the airport so we got a shard taxi at 80,000KIP. I also requested a twin room and we walked into the room and it was a double but it's ok because the beds could be seperated and there was still a little room either side. Breakfast was only until 10am which as Luang Prabang is a sleepy town to relax in I thought that was pretty early. We hired a motorbike as the hotel is very far from the main town (10-15 mins on the motorbike). One morning it was raining very hard so I asked if they could use their van and take us in. There are not enough regular times they will take you for free. 9.30am, 3pm, 5.30pm and 7.30pm only which is ridiculous. We were told to wait and then the manager had to ask permission from the Owner in Thailand... Just to do a 15 minuted trip for their guests, we played the 'you didn't pick us up from the airport card' and they allowed it. The pool is lovely and clean, but after spending half the day by the pool I realised not one person came to offer food or drinks (I had to get my own towel and put the quite heavy cushion on myself). Later I was told there is a phone to order stuff, we called and no one answered. The English of the Laos staff is very poor, we went to restaurants where their English was far better, all they need to do is offer free basic classes as part of their prof development. The fitness centre's AC was broken, no towels, water or staff down there. The equipment was not plugged in and was basic to say the least. This is not a 5* hotel. The owner who lives in Thailand is just sat making money and doesn't care about what's going on in Laos. He should get rid of it or go to Laos and invest time and money to make it what it could be. A huge shame!
