We stayed at Hoi An Canal House in mid-July. The property is peaceful and in a great location, with a motorbike rental shop just around the corner—super convenient for exploring the beautiful city of Hoi An. However, we were disappointed with the way the breakfast situation was handled. We made our booking on June 25th, and at the time, breakfast was included. Later we found out there was a notice saying breakfast would not be available from June 17th, but this wasn’t mentioned to us at the time of booking or communicated afterward. Our check-in was on July 16th, so it would have been helpful to be informed in advance. That said, the staff did refund us 100,000 VND for the missed breakfast, which we appreciated. The room itself was comfortable and clean, and the overall ambiance was calm and welcoming. A good stay overall—but clearer and more timely communication would have made it even better.

We would like to thank Mr Hoang for his extra services. During our stay for three days, my husband need to work and his laptop was having problem. Mr Hoang make special arrangement , allowing my husband to use their computer to work through out through out nights. We highly appreciated. The room is well kept, clean and comfortable. We also like to extend our thanks Miss Phuong for her wonderful service, and to all the friendly staff . The night market is within walking distance . We really have a wonderful stay in Hoi A canal house. We highly recommended this hotel, and we will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Hoi An.

I stayed 6 nights at Canal House. I’m quite a fussy traveller but I can’t find a single complaint. My experience: - best location. You are right next to old town, but vehicles can still enter which means you can easily get Grab to doorstop if u’re too lazy or unable to walk 3 min into old town. - room is really clean. I’ve read horrors about cockroaches in many other hotels, but I didn’t spot a single roach during my 6N there. Amazing! - the service by entire team is impeccable - from Ny, Truc, Ken, to the 2 guys who make ur breakfast, and the housekeeping ladies. Outstanding! I think the owner, Mr Hieu leads by example. I had some booking screw-up with Agoda and the owner is honourable in keeping to my original booking rate. - best of all is the value for money. If you compare to similar class accommodation in vicinity, Canal House offers best value for what you get. I have compared too many to count, and Canal House wins hands down. I will definitely return to Canal House when I return to Hoi An.

I booked 3 rooms at the hotel, the rooms are nice, looking clean, and the location is quite okay for the price and general standard of this area. However, one room had a bad smell, and although the staff assisted, the odor still lingered slightly. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, it was okay. I will consider coming back on my future visits to Hoi An.

I had a great stay at Hoi An Canal House. The location is perfect—it’s right in the center of Hoi An, just a short walk to the night market, shops, restaurants, and all the main attractions. Very convenient if you want to explore the city on foot. The receptionist is very friendly, always willing to help, and makes an effort to speak English, which makes communication easy and comfortable. They also allow you to leave your luggage if you arrive early or want to explore more after checkout, which is very convenient. The room is clean, comfortable, and secure, with a lockable cabinet for your valuables. The bathroom is well maintained, and despite being close to everything, it’s quiet at night so you can rest well. Overall, it’s excellent value for money with great service and a fantastic location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An!
