A place in need of some TLC”
A very tired property that has seen better days. My room and later suite were large and reasonably comfortable but the air conditioning left much to be desired with respect to cooling - however opening windows made life bearable. The bathrooms while adequate needed some attention as the grouting was not well applied and therefore the cleaners had great difficulties in cleaning the bathrooms. Very small staff but all were friendly and did their best to make my stay comfortable. The location was excellent for me as my meetings were just a couple of blocks away otherwise its location was problematical. It was just 2 star and needs a lot of attention to detail if it is to get any higher.

Don't Expect much...”
If you are planning only to use your hotel for sleeping, this could be a good option because of its price, location and good staff. But you might consider the following (this is based on the room I was in only, don’t know of the status of the other rooms): 1. Air conditioning temperature control unit doesn’t work properly. It is either ON or OFF. Plus the cooling is not that cold. 2. Furniture are old 3. I had ripped towed with a HOLE! 4. Water from the shower was very strong 5. TV has only 5-6 channels working 6. I couldn’t connect to the internet and I used my own package I didn’t use the other facilities in the hotel (swimming pool, etc) so I cannot say anything about them. In general, it was an average stay but it served its purpose as I was out all day and came back only to sleep.

Question about 4 star hotel?”
It is very aged hotel and not good maintained. Heater was not working, hair dryer attached on the wall was not working. They deliver electric heater, but it is too small for room and need to power off during sleeping time because of safety. Temperature of hot water was changed very often - cold and hot. My family gave up to use hot water. Door handle of restroom was broken. I have booked extra bed, but it was not ready when my family arrived at 7pm. I don't know how they get 4 stars for this hotel. But the people are very kind and always smile even though my endless complaints.

Viennese charm in Amman”
Very good location, friendly staff and great charm
If you looking for a truly remarkable hotel stay in Amman, the Le Vendome is your place. The lobby has an honest charm that only experienced in old Viennese Hotels before: huge curtains and chandeliers with spacious sofas and armchairs and also large marble tables. The staff is excellent as well, the receptionist sewed a button back to my suit at first. Then the other day they cleaned my shirt superfast after a small accident with my coffee latte in the morning. The cleaning ladies are singing while cleaning your room. Amazing people. The service is 5-star. The rooms are okay and the breakfast could have more options - but I would stay here again.

There wasn't one English TV channel”
Proximity to Jett Bus Station, close to major hotels with bars, close to major malls
All the positives of this hotel are the amenities around it. The are a few good upmarket hotels with restaurant / bars. The major malls are 10 minutes away by taxi. The Breakfast was terrible, boiled eggs and toast was the only choice. There was no milk for my coffee. The safe in my room did not work. There was not one English News channel or any other English channel on the television. The only reason I chose Le Vendome was because it was 10 mins walk to Jett Bus station. The bus leaves for Petra at 06h30 every morning. This could be a major selling point for the hotel but it has a lot of work to do in order to maintain it's attraction.

Unacceptable ”
Near better hotels, near Pizza Hut and near Jett Bus Station
There are too many issues with this hotel including poor choices for breakfast, non-working safe.

I never experienced a hotel like this. Two points to be remarked. The bed has not upper undercover, my body contacting directlly with the blankets was in virtual )or not virtual) contact with a lot of former customers. The buffet breakfast was superb only two things to selectÖ except one day was only one of the two omelette, plus powered milk and coffee. I never gave an opinion like that.
