Perfect Stay”
I arrived hot and exhausted -- and although on the taxi ride over I could gaze at the phenomenal color of the water , the only thing I wanted to do was cool off and re-group from my long flight. I was able to do that and more at Le Vieux Nice Inn. Greeted with a fresh towel and tropical drink at reception started my experience. Staff was upbeat and friendly, and helped me get settled in quickly. After a much needed (air conditioned)rest and shower, I went downstairs to dinner -- very tasty. The beach is only a few yards away and although it isn't best for casual sunbathing (book one of the hotel's excursions instead) it's perfect for an evening or morning stroll. Breakfast was great as well. Everyone made sure that I wanted for nothing during my stay. I had never been to Male before and the hotel's taxi service from airport to my connecting ferry and back was seamless. In the essence of time I had also booked another night before my departing flight from Male and I'm so very glad I did -- perfect beginning and end to my Maldives trip.

My stay at Le Vieux Nice Inn is one of the best experience i've had in all my travels. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and nice, i've been taken really good care of. Hotel have taxi to take you around, and also their restaurant cooks some great local food. However, its on the airport island, and if you need to go to male, you would need a boat ride. If i come back again, i will stay here again, and would recommend other people to stay here as well. Great Job for the Staff!

Very good accomodation for transit in Maldives”
very good location if you are just transiting Maldives for 1-3 nights, also the surrounding of this hotel is quite lively and not so crazy like in Male, the beach is just 1 block from the hotel, many shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood, which is convenient; you can go to the ferry and be in Male in 15 minutes and then you can také another ferry to Viligili; the hotel can arrange for transport from the airport, which could be cheaper (taking into account the normal prices of taxi) but is good when you arrive in the night and there is no taxi in the airport.

Lovely little Inn”
The little Inn located on a street 1 block from the sea rests on this artificial island. It is inhabited and not a resort area, and therefore swim wear was not allowed on the public beaches. The local women bathe fully clothed in their black chadors! The room I was given was confortable, but the view was the concrete wall of the next building. The owner, the Innkeeper and their staff looked after me very well, provided directions and advice, helped to make onward connections and generally very very patient with me. It is conveniently located and a short walk to the ferry to Male. Male is interesting to visit and sample local Maldivian life. There was the touch of the European as the owner had spent much time in France and Europe and fluent in most European languages.The breakfast is copious and fun-it felt like being part of a little family. This little Inn is highly recommended.

Comforatble and easy for one night stay”
Great place for easy first night stay in Maldives. We had 1 day before dive safari and this was quieter and calmer than Male city. Good location in Hulhumale; lots of local and tourist food options. Very comfortable room and great staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Make sure to arrange airport shuttle prior to arriving. We could not find a taxi at airport, but local bus is an option although a little hard to find.

Really nice new hotel not far from airport, save us taking boat to male for a night stay. Late night check in but really warm welcome from the host. Really useful info from John and his help getting back to airport. Nice hotel and nice people.

Good place to wait for a flight”
It's located far from the city and airport, but they offer a transfer service. Overall, good value for waiting for a night flight out of Male. Staff was very welcoming and engaging. The restaurant in the hotel is good too.

Ideal transit hotel”
Excellent place to stay while in transit to or from other islands. Stayed there on our way to Lux then stayed there again on our way home. Hotel has an airport shuttle - two people roundtrip for $20USD. Quick and short drive from main airport, seaplane airport, and ferry terminal. Room was comfortable, clean, air conditioned, with a nice shower, cable tv, free wireless internet in room, and a restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was great (small tastey buffet and eggs cooked to order). Also had dinner and lunch there. Refreshing juice drinks and smoothies. Kulhimas (Maldivian curry with tuna chunks) was great... had it twice. Staff was friendly, accomodating, and fluent in at least English and Italian.

Loverly and triendly nice rooms”
a new small hotel on the airport island. its nice to be nice and i agree this was very nice and friendly and they made us feel at home. rooms are clean staff are friendly and you feel very comfortable. if you want maldives brochure 5* then go to a resort but if u are a little more adventurius like to stay where some locals live and get the public ferry and explore then this is good. local area and beach can do with a little clean but you can meet with locals get the ferry to mali and further and if you want still have trips to fantastic resorts on day trips this was the better option for us. thanks john and all the great crew for making us feel so welcome. downside of airport island at present apart from our hotel where food was good there was a lack of eating places and a coffee bar and no drinking or on mali not a problem for me coffee is fine but if thats what you want you have to go to a resort. this area as mali beach is local and muslim so no bikini for women so ressect and enjoy overall our 4 nights was great but 7 would have been better.

Nice, clean, chic new hotel”
After having stayed in Maldives for a week (in two hotels in Male' City for the first few nights) I then noted this new hotel. It was just opened last month and they have used quality products for their hotel (linen, towels etc.) and the staff is very friendly. I will defenetely stay her for the next trip to Maldives islands.

Pros 1-Staff at the hotel - attitude is great -cant be better!! 2-Lobby/restaurant design is good 5 stars 3-Beach behind the hotel is nice to walk around 4- Restaurant food tastes good. 5- transfer to airport was well arranged Cons 1-No telephone in room, Lobby is not manned late night, Hotel telephone number will not be attended by anyone. Advised to take down emergency contact numbers (hopeing your mobile works) incase of an emergency at night. 2- Transfer from Airport was poor. Waiting-board a bus-waiting again for touists to other hotel...was tiring afer a late night flight. Hopefully will improve in future.

Friendly staff and nice room”
It was a good stay. Though the hotel is just an inn with a few rooms, the staff were very nice and helpful. The manager even helped us to call the dive boat several times to inquire about the jetty pickup schedule so as to save us time, and we didn't have to go back to the airport to wait for the group pickup. The restaurant downstairs is acceptable and there is another restaurant just next door, but the quality is more or less the same. The room was clean but the air-conditioning was a bit noisy. Since it is like an apartment with several rooms on the same floor, the sounds of opening and closing doors were clearly heard. The environment around the hotel is good, it is safe and there are many mini-supermarkets nearby. However, you can't expect any activities with this inn. It is perfect for a night's stay before or after any flight.

Friendly,clean hotel, near to local beach.10 minute transfer from airport available on request. Attentive staff. Good restaurant, homemade soups and hot curries but also Italian cuisine available. Trips , water sports bookable from hotel. NB, No alcohol is allowed on residential Mali islands, even in big hotels. To get to larger Mali island use local ferry, fun 15min trip. Reasonably priced local hotel.

This was a 2 nights stop over before we leave Maldives. Room was spacious and clean. Easy walking to beach and restaurants. We took a walk to the ferry terminal and had a 1 day trip in Male that only cost US$0.35 per way.

Basic, clean and close to the airport”
Good transit hotel with basic amenities to stay over after arrival from a late flight. We travelled with an infant and they provided a free upgrade to a family room which was nice. Paid US$20 for airport two way transfer which I thought they should have been mentioned in the beginning rather than at the end of the stay.

New Hotel nearby Airport”
The hotel is very new , rooms are clean. Opposite to hotel has a supermarket , easy & convenience to buy some daily needs. Staffs are friendly & easy to communicate in English. Room rate in compared with hotels of nearby location they are slightly higher, doubt that why a simple breakfast cannot be included? The downside is the transportation. Initially we though the hotel is quite close to the airport which is good to have a night 's stay for catch up seaplane the next early morning, However, taxi service is controlled by one Company that has the licence to enter the airport area and the hotel must need to use their car / shuttle bus for our transfer from & to the airport. Not sure if they did not book it well in advance? We only have car pick up on arrival but no car to airport the next morning, thus, they drove us to the nearby public bus station and we took a bus to the airport with our luggages. We really felt rather stressful as we need to catch the flight.

Very poor airport transfer”
We arrived Male late at night and stayed at Nice Inn for the night before we caught our seaplane to the resort island in the next morning. When we checked in we informed the hotel reception that we would require airport transfer at 8:00am the next morning, and the receptionist confirmed the transportation would be arranged. The next morning when we went down for breakfast, we once again checked with the receptionist about the pick-up time for the airport transfer, and we were told the car would come on time. But when we went down to the lobby at 8am, there was no car waiting for us. We waited for half an hour and during that time we asked the hotel staff if you could contact the driver or get us a taxi to the airport. The answers that we got were: the car was on the way and would here in 5 minutes; the driver's cellphone was switched off couldn't get hold of him; didn't know how to call a taxi since he only worked part time in the hotel! We asked to see the hotel manager who eventually came at around 8:30am. He explained the hotel car had gone to the airport to pick up other guests, since the plane was delayed the driver was still waiting there. They had only one car doing the airport transfers and it's not easy to call a taxi there! Luck that at that time another hotel's car just drove pass on its way to the airport to pickup guests. The manager stopped the car and asked the driver to give us a ride to the airport. Eventually we arrived at the airport 40 minutes late!
