cheap hotel restaurant but no free wifi”

the hotel has a wide range of tv channels, adequate parking space around the hotel, nice bathtub and really lovely customer service people who take the time to listen to you with a genuine smile. even the cleaning lady was courteous and polite! don't forget to request for a higher floor, the view isn't fantastic but at least you'll be able to see to the very edge rockhampton from a higher floor. also there is a rather cool hippie shop around the corner, search for antec building and walk down the street, you'll come to a shop that is really interesting! only con is that the wifi is not a free service.

Excellent - I actually stayed an extra day ”

The stay was fantastic, staff were pleasant and attentive, the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. I hadn't booked further accommodation due to the fact I didn't know if I was going to enjoy the hotel or not but ended up enjoying the place so much I rebooked and stayed an extra night with them. Will definitely consider them when next travelling to Rockhampton

Very suitable for our needs”

Check in and check out were very smooth and easy. The room was clean and well laid out, and the bed was comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. I had a steak in the Hotel's restaurant because you have to eat steak when you are in Rockhampton. It was good - not fantastic, but good. And the wine was cheap as. Lovely view of the Rockhampton police headquarters compound. Easy walking distance to Mecobe, which was just down the road

The Leichhardt Hotel is a really good value for money. Friendly staff, very clean room, good service and good food made for a pleasing stay. I would certainly stay there again but would avoid the fold out bed as mine was a bit of a shocker!

we were there visiting relatives and this hotel suited our needs also we have stayed there before,value for money as Rockhampton is very expensive for what the city offers.

Parking”

Overall, the hotel was very good. We did have a slight inconvenience however with parking as we (and another couple with us) were towing trailers but only single, outdoor car spaces are available. As we were towing a boat and needed extra security, we were able to park in the secure loading dock area but our friends had to unhitch their camper trailer and park in two single car parks beside the hotel. Management should review their car parking facilities to make available double length car parks for travellers with trailers.

Dont Let the Facade Fool You - Very Nice Rooms”

I have stayed here many times for work and from the outside the gloomy building looks like it would attract all sorts, but surprisingly it is mainly a corporate stay hotel, with the court house and police headquarters accross the road. Parking is convennient. A short walk to live music and a wonderful indian restaurant. Rooms have a full bath, small fridge but no heating. Hotel provided a fan heater for us tho, which was great. Bed was a little lumpy/saggy. Check in left a little to be desired as staff were curt, yet checkout was friendly and efficient. Room service breakfast was divine and my husband really enjoyed the beers on the front terrace bar :) Look forward to staying next month for work - well worth the money.

Short work trip ”

Location is very convenient for me in the city. Shopping centre nearby. Standard room facilities with tea, coffee and refrigerator but important for me too is an iron and ironing board . The aircon is not always responsive to temperature control and tv lacks abc 24 channel. Beds are comfortable. Restaurant prices are very reasonable and restaurant staff are polite and welcoming. Reception staff are now more professional and courteous, a welcome change from some years ago.

Clean and comfortable hotel in the centre of town”

My room was nice and tidy with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. The staff were great, friendly and efficient. The food was good, large pub style meals. The hotels location was perfect, right in the middle of the city and easy parking in the carpark (uncovered) next door.

Exceptional”

The Leichardt Hotel is a very friendly, easily accessible hotel which I would definitely stay at again. Being so close to the Riverside and CBD this was a very good place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, it was exceptional value and had a great nights sleep in the very comfortable bed. The only thing lacking is free wifi but with all the other positives this was a minor inconvenience

Great Location”

Located a short walk from the Fitzroy River where the Heritage Buildings stand. Reasonably priced meals at the hotel but the delivery of the meals was very slow. Bed was very comfortable. Elevator No separate Guest parking. The only parking spaces were with Hotel patrons. Staff were unfriendly, we noted that staff never make eye contact with, or greeted hotel guests as they entered or exited the hotel, the only time they looked up was when a Guest appeared in front of them at the Reception Desk.

One nightmare experience ”

After checking in I went to the room and visited the toilet after a long drive. When I heard the door open I at first didn't think anything by it, but that it must have been the next room. Then I heard someone rummaging through my room. I opened the toilet door and saw someone in the room. The receptionist had another guest booked into the same room. The other man left the unit in a hurry and quite embarrassed. We then questioned the receptionist, who apologiesed and offered a free coffee on the house which I felt added insult to injury. An experience which left me a little bit traumatised. So my review of this hotel might not be as objective as it possibly should be.

No hassle accommodation and beautiful food.”

Only hiccup was, we were locked out of our room due to a malfunction with the door lock but this was resolved within 2.5 hours. Just would have been nice for them to come find us in the dining room and advise the room was ready to go again as we were extremely tired and in need of a shower after playing competition beach volleyball all day. Even with this though I was inpressed with the hotel as I had not stayed there for more than 20 years.

only stayed overnight and we were pleased that there was a restaurant on the premises that was reasonable priced for both dinner and breakfast with helpful and friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Conveniently located downtown with a great 24 hr check in service. Food well priced but no undercover parking.. No issues though as across from the police station!!
