Liberty Guest House staff are very hospitable and friendly! Our room was always clean and the staff always accommodated our requests. The food was sooo delicious and the chef was always explaining and recommending his best dishes. We went on the nearby local islands and it was amazing! We were on the beach by ourselves with the beautiful Maldives pristine water. Enzo became a friend and gave me some insider tips about Maldives excursions and looking forward to coming back again to the guest house. While at your stay we were able to use their SUP, kayak and snorkel gear included in our accommodations. Suggestions for faster wifi, is in the reception or in the dining area. Overall, if you want a quality stay, clean room, amazing staff, and delicious food...this is the place! Great value for the money but more importantly the quality of customer service is amazing and you have more to spend on the excursions.

Lovely visit at Liberty”
The staff at Liberty guest house really made us feel at home and we felt so welcomed. They were always service minded, laid back and problem solving. The trip to Mahobadhoo went smoothly from Malé and they picked us up at the jetty. The location was great, near the beach, barely any islands spotted from Mahibadoo and clear star sky. Although we had to wear shoulder and knee covered clothes on the island, it was not a problem as we barely spent time on the island because we were out on excursions and activities at sea all day. They had a wide range of activities and were always flexible to accommodate to our needs. The staffs’ skills in spotting whale sharks and mantas were excellent and we got to see the cool sea life of the Maldives. We were interested in the local island lifestyle and we got a lot of information from the staff and even a guided tour to the traditional houses at the island. The rooms were nice and clean. We would highly recommend people to visit Liberty Guest house.

It's Paradise!!”
Liberty Guest House is a perfect place to explore Maldives. We spent one week there for honeymoon. It's such a sweet and happy memory!! There is a very beautiful beach in front of the guest house. We found eels, blowfish, starfish, octopus and thousands of crabs by just walking out of the room. The staff are all very helpful and professional. Everytime we went diving, the staff can always guide us to find the beautiful creatures underwater. We saw one whale shark, one sea turtle, two small sharks, tens of manta and very luck a group of dolphines. We chatted with the locals while dining out. Everyone is so friendly on this island. We would definitely go back if chance.

Lovely stay at the Liberty Guest house. There are 6 rooms and 4 of which are facing the beach. The beach in front is beautiful and at night thousands of crabs can be found crawling around: bring an LED headlamp. The rooms are big and equiped with hot shower and a small fridge. Enzo the manager and his team are very professional and honest and you can trust in them to take care of your stay and offer various excursions. There is a good restaurant upstairs and also two nearby restaurants behind the football field where you can change things up and try something different. For a non-private resort island vacation in the Maldives it would be hard to find a better guest house.

A Great Place for Vacation”
My wife, my son and I had a great stay at the Liberty Guest House over the US Thanksgiving holidays. It is not the glitz and glam type of vacation but if you want to know the Maldivian culture as well as a to have a relaxing vacation, this is the place. The accommodation is modest but it is very clean. The Guest House has the best staffs anywhere. They all had one mission in mind, that is to make our trip special and memorable. From the pick up at the Male airport, transportation coordination, cooking, excursions, room comfort to returning you back to the airport, they truly take pride in all the details. The Guest House offers plenty of excursions and they are reasonably priced. We want to thank Furuty, Enzo, Ameen, Chuck, Yousuf, Shalom, Ruman, Azhan and Zela for making this trip memorable. We hope to make it out to Mahibadhoo again with our other 2 kids some day.

Friendly service and great excursions/activities ”
We had a splendid time at Liberty Guest House. It is a small island with only about 2000 locals. You can almost guarantee to have the beach to yourself at times. However, the garbage that comes up from the ocean of the local beach in front of the guest house is not regularly cleaned but if you could look past that, the water is pristine and clean and it is a very enjoyable swim. They also have some great activities/excursions. We went for a picnic to the deserted island and snorkeling and it was amazing. They take care of every need during your excursion and during your stay. They have thought of every detail so you don't have to worry about anything and you can just relax.

Great snorkelling, relaxing stay”
We had a wonderful stay at Liberty Guest House. The location is great, right on the beach. Our room was large. (The mattress, though, was very hard.) We enjoyed the food at the restaurant, particularly the curries. We went on two of the excursions, one to snorkel with manta rays and one snorkelling at two different reefs, and enjoyed both. There is also great snorkelling off Mahibadhoo, particularly at the reef near the lagoon on the main harbour side of the island. We saw reef sharks, a turtle, stingrays and huge numbers of colourful fish. Strongly recommended if you are into snorkelling or diving and want a chilled-out holiday.

Great place to visit the Maldives on a budget”
Fantastic guesthouse, the staff look after your every need, they organised the day trips, our meals and all with great friendly attitudes. You must keep in mind this is a local island so no bikinis , nothing to do on the island but relax and read a book unless doing day trips (which I would recommend because they were great snorkelling with whale sharks, picnic on secluded island etc) Liberty Guesthouse was awesome, my only but is the rubbish and this is not the guesthouse’s doing but the islands themselves, masses of rubbish floating in the water, on this island and many more it ruins the beauty. Overall Liberty guesthouse was fabulous value for money and we will sure to come back :)

Excellent team. Excellent guest house. Location on a populated island so you can enjoy village life . The only constraint is that being in bikini on the beach is not allowed but you can sunbath on top roof or during boat trip and picnic. Excellent place for divers: good and well equipped boat, diving equipment is pretty new. Good diving spots around reachable by boat. The guest house easily organises full day or half day picnics , snorkled or diving trips. We had an unforgettable dive with sharks which I would qualify as my top 5 . Plenty of sharks, tunas, turtles, eagle rays, coral fishes... And we snorkled with Manta rays. It was great. A good place to recommend and good value for money.

It's a very cosy guest house is right on the beach, the rooms are very comfortable , clean & tastefully done. The dives & excursions are very at reasonable prices. The Owner Xala , Fruity the dive instructer , Yusuf the chef are most friendly & hospitable , they go out of their way to make sure you are well served & happy. Beautiful sunsets , candle light dinner on the beach with fresh catch from the sea yummy....., what more could you ask for.......

Really lovely guest house”
The pick up and drop off service to and from the airport is outstanding and takes all the hassle out of the travelling. The guest house is really lovely with comfortable, clean rooms and the food is good too. The staff are what really make this place and both the trips we went on were fantastic. We were promised reef sharks and turtles and they delivered!

We spent 1 week here and it was just perfect. The staff are very friendly and funny, we love the maldivian humor! And they are also very professional. The food was amazing, the rooms were perfect and very clean and the activities they organize were amazing. We went snorkling, diving, went to a deserted island and every day was perfect. The stay was great and service was awesome, really nice guys! The island wasn't very fun and the excursions was expensive. The beds were hard. It was newly built so super fresh and right by the beach! It was a public beach so you had to wear tshirt and shorts on the beach and in the water. All and all, a great stay.

The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. The food is awesome. They also provide really nice excursions and activities with reasonable prices. Most important of all, the staff here are great and they really make you feel like home. Definitely will come back again.

Great staff and amazing food!”
We told them we were on our honeymoon and they prepared a special candlelit dinner for us on our first night. All the food we had in this place was amazing even if it was our first time to try Maldivian cuisine. They really tried their best to help us feel special and to enjoy our holiday. We went snorkeling to see the manta ray/sting ray. Our boatman ensured that we could spot them even if we are just on the water surface (and could not scuba dive). However, their location is more suited for scuba divers as you need to go deep to see the colorful marine lives. We went snorkeling and did find some corals but not as colorful as in the brochures. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here as the staff were really warm, welcoming and accommodating. It was a shame that we could not tell the cook how amazing his cooking and food were as we had some language barrier. :|

Rooms are nice and spacious but the bed is extremely hard. Food was below average and quite repetitive. You have to decide at breakfast what you want for lunch and dinner each day?! The excursions were fantastic!

Good location ,beach front ,handy walking around nice shade near beach, But no free water in room so had to pay for the water at restaurant, breakfast was very ordinary and cold, don't order beef curry is so tough need a chainsaw to cut it. Has a t.v. in room but doesn't play any channels and WiFi in rooms is very weak.

Petit hôtel à 2 h de bateau de Male. Accueil très sympa, personnel serviable et àdisposition. Très propre. Chambres avec vue sur mer. Plusieurs bateaux disponibles pour pic-nic sur iles environnantes à la journée ou ½ journée, pour plonger ou faire du PMT. Zala, responsable de la maison et maitre de plongée connait les meilleurs sites de plongée. Bateau de plongée grand, bien équipé (compresseur), matériel quasi neuf. L’ile est habitée: interdiction de se balader ou de se baigner en bikini ou tenue trop ajustée, l’hôtel offre un toit type solarium pour adeptes du bronzage. Les sorties bateaux permettent aussi des séances bronzage. Ne pas hésiter à demander les tarifs des diff. activités. Idéal pour découvrir les iles et pour amoureux de la plongée : inoubliables plongées avec rais mantas, requins, tortues et toute la faune de poissons coralliens. Excellente alternative aux hôtels de luxe très onéreux surtout pour amoureux de la mer et de ses fonds qui demeurent les mêmes pour tous.
