Uncomfortable. Very disappointing. ”
I booked liberty hotel Saigon parkview on line for two nights. After arrival I expected to extend as I will be in Saigon for two weeks. I booked a room for two adults. At check in I was told that regardless of a two person booking, only I could be in the room after 10:00 pm at night. Unless I could show a marriage certificate. Desk clerk said that is the law. But he said if I pay an additional 400,000 fee, they ignore the law. I know this old law no longer exists and told him so. He had no answer. The hotel is running an extortion scam on their guests. Also, they cut corners in other ways such as cleaning, accessories and overpricing food. Too bad I had prepaid. But thankfully only for two nights. There are many nice ( friendly and honest) hotels in this area so it was easy to relocate after the two nights expired. And less expensive ones also.
The front desk staffs are patient to answer questions.”
I got cheated by taxi driver. The front desk staffs are patient to answer me
Staffs are very helpful, location is excellent - a lot of nearby restaurants, food stalls and cafes. Rooms are quite old and the elevator is tiny but if you are not spending most of your day in the hotel, this hotel will do!
Fantastic Hotel ”
Food is around the corners, need to walk for about 5 mins to find your preferred restaurant. If you like to hang out in bars there is plenty of bars behind the hotel. Mr Tam from concierge is a great staff and always helpful ! When i booked the hotel online, i got a deluxe room without a view, but once arrived, i had to upgrade to a executive floor since i was staying almost a week and needed a balcony view.
Getting a bit tired but good location”
I was happy enough with my stay here for the price they I paid. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are helpful. The rooms are getting a bit tired now and the air-conditioning really struggled with the heat. I don't need a cold room but no matter what I did with the conditioner temperature, the room was still too warm
Good: big room, good AC, reasonable price, helpful staff Bad: small & super slow elevator, have to wait and wait for it, internet not fast, neighborhood a bit loud but still slept fine Overall: a bigger than average room for D1 at a decent price
Backpacker street, have a underground foodcourt, you can find everything here. I love take bus in TPHCM, so the bus station nearby and you can find Starbucks and Highland coffee around you. HSBC ATM, 7-Eleven. But hotel is old but clean. No complain with good CPI.
Please DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!”
This hotel is like stepping into a horror scene from an american movie in the 70’s at highway motel in America!! filthy, smelly and very run down. They gave me a smokers room where everything from the ceiling to the phones and smoke alarms were yellow!!The room stunk and the carper was minging! When I asked to get change to a none smoking room they gave me an even worse room that smelled even worse and when I asked to be changed again they showed me a prestine toom that looked like I was stepping into a completely different hotel and wanted to charge me even more than double of what I paid for it saying it was one of their renovated rooms! It was like the had this con planned for every guest knowing what they are doing and at this point I just didn't want to fall for the con so I asked to see more room where I didn’t have to pay the extortion price they were asking and to top it all off, the bed linnen had blood marks! Like the one you get from bed bugs! It was a complete nightmare!
Great location, nice rooms”
Easy to reach with bus 109 from the airport. Quiet room, quiet AC, many shops, markets, restaurants and travel agents next door. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. Do not expect a park view or a good city view though. The staff is kind and helpful. Would come back again for sure.
David N Nguyn”
Staff is courteous, professional and very helpful. I had problem with the safe, I called front desk. In less than 10 minutes, 2 technicians and the bell boy came to my room and fixed the problem. Elevator is too slow. Toilet paper is dispensed very stingy. Hotel is located near food court, restaurants, market. Grab taxis, bike...is just a phone call away. Very convenient.
Bad handling of fromt desk staff”
When checked in on 10/12/18 at around 1 .30 pm was told to wait for a while. I told them I will go for lunch and get back to then 30 minutes later. What shocking me was that they told me no rooms is available and I have to change to the hotel next door. Taught was the hotel next door but ends up had to walk about 5 mins to a smaller hotel. It really upset me. SO I went back to Liberty Hotel Saigon ParkView to reason out with them:- 1. I booked the Hotel with Agoda and paid in advance, how can they tell me no room. 2. They kept saying I booked a smaller room so now no such room avai;able. I told them is not my fault , since no room why accept my booking and payment. After much reasoning with them they then gave me room to stay. I have been booking hotel room with Agoda for quite a while and very disappointed. I think is about time for me to book through other service providers.
Great hotel close to the action & far enough a way not to hear it!”
The Staff was very friendly and helpful. They brought my bags to my room, made suggestions of sights to see and scheduled my bus to Mui Ne. The rooms was clean, AC & hot water worked great and the bedding sheets were AMAZING!
The staff was very helpful. Hotel is in a good location and close to restaurants and shops.
nice room with upgraded with extra money”
I have booked this room with around 35USD per night to get a deluxe room, however not satisfy with the room and been offer to upgrade to newly renovated and design room with top up extra 300k VND per night. I am ok to accept it as the new room is much nicer and new. You got what you paid. Downside: the lift is very old, small and slow.
Great location for the pubs, shops and restaurants of the backpacker area. And a short walk to the market and other District 1 sights. Even though the best view is to the front overlooking the park, if you are a light sleeper you may prefer to ask for a room at the back of the hotel.
Everything was value for money, except check in is a bit slow due to the time we arrived there we group in the lobby is checking in too, so they took our passport and ask us to wait, after waited for 10 minutes, we decided to leave our baggage and out for walk, after we came back and show our luggage tag to the girl at the reception (who came in for afternoon shift i guess, as the girl who assist us earlier around 2pm is not at the reception area anymore) she told us that we had came in to a wrong hotel!!! That was very annoying as the luggage tag clearly stated, and you should check before saying so! After arguing and she had check which is clearly we are not in a wrong hotel, she pass us the room key, WITHOUT ANY APOLOGY which is not acceptable at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always a top spot”
Stayed at this hotel many times good service, clean comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, always welcome me back. Here for 3 weeks this time so must be good. Excellent buffet breakfast, don't need lunch. Right in the heart of all that Dist.1 has to offer. Nice open space park opposite for morning or evening stroll.
Location is good. Easy to reach restaurant, shopping and long distance bus terminal. However, so noisy every time when we stay at lower level and close to the main road. Recommend to stay at back side may be quilt. Clean room and big enough. Staff is nice. Restaurant on roof top is good view. Food is OK.
Very decent hotel”
The Bad: Rooms are rather old and extremely poorly lit for document work, great strain on the eyes for a business traveler. The Good: Staff was extremely patient with me when I (ahem, embarrassingly) locked myself out of my own room. Also, the restaurant chefs make a fairly good breakfast spread.
