Another lovely stay at Libong Beach resort”
We have stayed at the Libong Beach resort before and loved it and we returned. We had a fantastic stay, the rooms were great as always and food fantastic. Cuisine option is limited to Thai but its wonderful with spectacular seafood dishes. The staff were excellent and friendly as always. There was a bit of a confusion on the room type - We had booked a beachfront bungalow through agoda but that was not available when we got to the resort. They put us in another comfortable room with a partial sea view and then changed us to a full sea facing room the following day. The confusion in the booking seemed to be a comunication lapse between bookings done directly through the resort vesus those done through agoda and the availability is possibly not always synced. We had no problem since they gave us an equally good alternative, but would be good to ensure this mix up does not happen.

A very happy New Year”
This is our second stay at Libong Beach resort and it was truly magnificent. We spent New Year there and it was a real treat, the staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was absolutely amazing. You must try the fish in garlic and pepper cooked to perfection. We hope to be back again next year.

We love it here!”
We stayed over Christmas and this is our 3rd time to Libong Beach Resort. It's not for everyone and if you are looking for 5 star luxury it won't be for you. However, if you are looking to get away from it all with a lovely setting and don't mind things being a bit basic then I'm sure you will love it here.

Wonderful escape, hilight of our trip.”
Great. Dont expect too much to do, but food was incredible. Getting to the hotel was a but rough and ready ... Sharing a longtail boat with locals and boxes of noodles! Only place to hire canoes and bikes seems to be the libong sunset beach resort nearby ... They were very friendly. Watch the tides as the bay gets very shallow at low tide.

Nice location on the beach and the Hill Room needs an update”
The resort is right on the beach. We stayed in the Hill Room which needed an update. The AC was very loud, the mosquito net was too small and barely covered the bed, the bathroom wasnt very nice and in need of a remake. The staff is super friendly and the food is better here than in the resorts nearby (we stayed in two resorts during our time on Libong). During low tide it can be hard to swim because there are rocks in the water. But its the same on the whole beach here. Enjoy a massage or rent a motorbike during that time instead. Libong is the place to go if you want to relax and visit a calm and not so touristy place in Thailand. I would recommend this resort for a trip to fantastic Libong on a budget!

Relaxing stay in nature with no distraction”
We really liked the location. Libong is perfect to calm down and to enjoy nature. At the resort we had the most cleaned up beach directly in front of our bungalow. The water was warm and we could rent snorkeling stuff for 2€. The bungalow was clean but really dark and open to animals. Although we did not see any inside during our stay you should consider that. At night it was impossible to walk at the beach because of hundreds of hermit crabs and crabs. So at night you are kind of stuck to the restaurant or the bungalow. In total we really enjoyed it and would recommend it!

Relaxation at its best”
We stayed on ko libong 8 years ago - we hoped it hadn't changed and were pleased to say it hasn't. Mass tourism still hasnt arrived and we are very grateful for that. We were looking for relaxation after travelling in Burma and we found it. Staff were Superb as was the Thai food - perfect place to unwind.

Wonderful”
Great location on a peaceful beach, gorgeous sunsets. The food was wonderful and quite good value, and served promptly. Very helpful and friendly manager and staffs. Had a great scramble up to the lookout platforms at Point Dugongs, hired a scooter to get there which is a great way to explore the island independantly. The roads are pretty quiet. Overall we found Libong much more 'spacious' than another nearby island we also stayed at and a great place to experience typical island life and Thai culture. The homestays at Batu Bute woukd be well worth a look if you are interested in that kind of experience too.

Paradise on earth!!”
It honestly couldn't get any better... It is a peaceful, not touristy, with plenty of natural beauty island. In the resort there was usually hardly no one at the beach. Warm water, nice snorkeling, no distractions, greatest bungalow with glassed wall (amazing view). Great thai eatery in the village around the corner. Already missing the place!

Disappointed”
I chose libong Beach Resort after reading reviews for all the accommodation on Koh Libong. The location can't be faulted. I stayed in a. Beach front AC room, it was old and jaded and needed a good clean, I stayed 3 nights and the room wasn't cleaned once. The AC proved inefficient. I found the food in the restaurant expensive and of poor quality, i chose to eat elsewhere. I was disappointed with the quality of the accommodation and have since moved next door to Libong Relax Resort, where my beachfront fan room is cleaned daily and although basic is a delight to return to. ( i also looked at the fan rooms at Libong Resort they were cheap but also not very clean)

Relaxing vacation in a friendly resort”
This a lovely resort just on the beach. As other comments say, you can't swim at low tide since this is very rocky. Room was clean and large. Staff is very friendly. The door knob of our bathroom broke at 11pm and they immediately found someone to repair it. There is a fishing village nearby. Definitely a place I would recommend if you are looking for a genuine experience, far for the big artificial resorts.

Very very basic, but quiet and beautiful location ”
Make no mistake this is very basic accommodation, but as long as you know that in advance then things are fine.... Eg no fridge, no kettle in room etc We booked a beach front bungalow (bamboo hut) Pros.... Beautiful location Effective air con Directly onto the beach Very quiet Friendly people Amazing sunsets Cons Terrible water pressure in the shower, and our shower was cold... I'm sure if we reported it sooner it would have been fixed Our own restaurant was a bit odd, the food we had was good, but llthe lighting is strange and has an odd atmosphere The owner speaks good English but the other staff don't speak any The other resorts next door both have good restaurants and bars with a bit more atmosphere, it's a few minutes walk into the village for street food, and everyone we met was very friendly. Overall a good stay as long as you know what to expect. We would probably book one of the other resorts next door if we were to visit again, just to see what they had on offer room wise.

Nice seaview bungalow, bad wifi and cell reception”
Would definetely recommned! Nice quality bungalow with sea view, great beach, nice surroundings. If you need to work, beware that the wifi is weak. Bathroom is a bit specific, you'll see :) We only booked the first night and then bargained the price for more nights at the reception. They rent motorbikes too. First night we were sick from the food from the restaurant so stay away from seafood and you'll be fine.

Great location, great restaurant , great stay”
Set beside a lovely white sand beach, this is a great place to while away the time. The on site restaurant is a touch pricey but makes up for it with large portions and high quality fare - make sure you’re hungry if you order a fish. The bungalows are pretty basic for the price, but clean and functional and it is worth paying for those right on the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful and will rent you a scooter for 200 baht a day. Recommended.

Beautiful place for relax”
Our house was inside old and scufed. Bathroom was in bad condition. Madam on frontdesk was kind and helpfull, but sometimes confused. Food in resort was relative expensive, most people went to eat outside, near on the corner was very Good and cheaper local food. Resort was clean and beautiful. It Is complicated with tides.

Calm resort”
The bungalows (big and clean enough) are in a very nice garden behind the beach, with trees, birds, squirrels. The beach is OK, at low water it is hard to swim or go into the water at all. The lady who manages the resort speaks good English, the rest of the stuff does not. Quiet and peaceful, was here for the 3-rd time. Good, airy restaurant, popular at travelers.

Neglect ”
Libong Beach Resort. Beach almost nonexistent, mangrove mud break when tide out. Hotel staff lack management and work ethic. Resort has been neglected. Pool is only saving factor.

Comfortable and good value”
This is not in Trang City. It takes an hour to get to Hat Yao where you get on a longtail to the island for 80b, but you have to wait for the boat to be full or pony up some more money to get them to their minimum, then when you get to the port you take local transport for 100b to the resort. Or you can get a longtail for around 800b right to the resort. This island has no tourist scene, its very rural, people friendly. The beach and environs where this resort is located is very nice. Staff very helpful.
