Stayed over at Lima duva for a night with my Girlfriend, was told by the receptionist that the Swimming pool will be closed till 3pm as there will be some Maintenance going on. Went to our room with the bell boy leading us far ahead without helping out with our luggage and so on, upon reaching our room with direct pool access found out that there wasn't any maintenance at the pool. But there was some group of people doing video filming at the room beside ours with some girl wearing only towel. Was kinda shock was inform by the staff as well that the Swimming pool will be closed at 9pm daily. After having Dinnner at a nearby restaurant. Came back to the resort about 9 plus near 10 was shock to see a group of people playing in the pool and drinking beers. There were roughly 10 or more of them talking loudly and drinking loudly in the pool. This act did not stop till about 11pm. Was shock at what had happen as there were staff walking around but did not seems to bothered about informing them that the pool will was already closed . Frankly speaking will not intro this place to a Friend or will not come back for another stay. Not worth the money overall
Great hotel in city, but short distance to everything. Family loved the pool and quiet property. Rooms clean and exceeded our expectations. Location on agodas map was slightly confusing, FYI they are the same property as Lima Bella.
Lima Duva feels like a dying resort! The staff was amazing! Not their fault the hotel is rundown!”
The staff at Lima Duva were great, very friendly, nice and approachable. The hotel feels run down. Over priced for what u get. Breakfast is mediocre. Rooms smell a bit like sewage. Koh Samet feels run down from over tourism. Very sad how much garbage is all over the island. I was in Samet in 2009 and it was way nicer back then. I’ve been going to Thailand since 2005 and I always like it in Koh Samui, but that’s a much bigger island. Koh Samet was beautiful 10 years ago.... not so much any more. 😢 I’m scared to see what other small islands like Koh Phi Phi, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan look like now.
Great value for money ”
A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle from big city life. Far enough from the party parts of Koh Samed and close enough to the beach where one can spent an amazing time swimming in the refreshing water, having a coffee and reading a book or just sunbath. Rooms are clean and very comfortable, staff is friendly. Breakfast needs to be improved not much to chose from if you have a western taste.
DECENT HOTEL. EXPENSIVE PRICE.”
it was very disappointing. we booked the pool access room but the pool was under renovation. the pool for the hotel beside is small. breakfast was below average. the only good thing about this hotel is the location. but for the price we paid for, we could have gone for other better hotels.
Nice Hotel with Pool near the city”
We had a nice stay for 3 people in the Duva suite. A little expensive, but it was a long weekend and everything on the island was sold out.
It was alright. They have all the hotel standardize and it's very new. I understand that hotel price in samed is quite expensive but still think 3500/night for a small standard room is too expensive. Overall is good. about 10 mins walk to the beach but next time i will stay right on the beach front down south of the island with the same price but better hotel and better beach for sure.
Beautiful resort, great stay, nice rooms”
The hotel is a few minutes walk to the beach and has a large front yard area in front of the hotel with trees, beautiful gardens, swimming pools, a few bars, and eating areas. Has a pool-side bar and the pool-front rooms have a small private area where the pool comes inside a balcony area. Rooms very clean and new. Everything was enjoyable.
Location not bad if this price”
Very nice staff. Nice room & swimming pool. Good location. Walk to the beach around 10 mins, many restaurant from the resort to the beach. The bad thing is many bugs in the room. But i will still stay here again.
Good service but with bad breakfast”
Room and swimming pool were very good and also the staff were all kindness But the breakfast was so disappointed, flies and less choices, same food in two days
The staff are amazing! Nothing is too much trouble and sorted immediately. They organised sunchairs at their sister hotel on the beach, a lovely day out, especially sunset. Lovely clean grounds and pools with bars beside. Lovely food too.
Good pool and small room.”
Resort so so, but pool is good. and, staff is very kind. Room(Pool access) is very small. Price is a bit expensive.Do not expect well breakfast.
Stayed in a pool access room which was great! Room was clean with a great shower and nice bed. I would stay here again for sure!
Clean enough for staying”
That was great staying but one thing I really needed was there was no phone call, means I have to tell them even room seivice or amenities. that's it. overall, clean enough, foods are good, staff are kind.
I thought the hotel was reasonable, rooms basic and small with no storage space for clothes...I did get the impression the hotel was understaffed, plates where left out for a long time at the restaurant area and around the pool. what staff we did interact with where polite and helpful.
It is nice Resort for relaxing with nice environment.”
Breakfast not bad, will consider this resort again for next trip.
Great hotel with nice swimmkng pool”
Overall had a great time and enjoyed the stay here. Worth a visit and suggest to get room directly connected to swimming pool
Should be stay here ”
It is new hotel in Samed. It have nice location and nice swimming pool.
I really like staying there. I got a suite room for my family. It's decorated with modern furniture. The only thing I don't like is that there is no lock at the bathroom doors. It's a little awkward for me. The overall is fine. I love the swimming pool too.
Beware of the "problem with water scam"”
Arrived in evening only to be told that our room "has a problem with water" and we would have to stay at another (much cheaper) room. The price on Agoda was much cheaper than the "walk in" price so we are 100% certain that the owner of the Lima group of hotels uses this as an excuse to move people to their other resorts and still advertise the room on Agoda to lure in forign tourists and then scam them into accepting a much lower quality room. This is our 4th visit to Koh spammed. We hope that this company will eventually be exposed for this very poor business practice so that other innocent forign tourists do not suffer the same injustice as us....
