Awesome! Nice service, amazing location, free transport ”
Lipe Sunset Beach Resort was the best place we stayed during our trip(Thailand, Malaysia,China). From our bungalow we could go down to the beach. The bathroom was very nice and clean. Transport to Walking Street was for free and also morning coffee, tea and toasts. The owner is very helpful and kind, when he met us at the bar on Walking Street, he offered us whisky. Overall 5/5. We just regret one thing, that we didn't stay longer and we went to Railay instead.

Lovely staff - very helpful even if English not always great.. my Thai is worse obvs! Free breakfast in the mornings w fruit, coffee, toast and jam and sweet sticky rice! Yum. We felt well cared for and at home. Kap Khun Ka :)

Special place!”
Only good things to say about this beautiful place. The staff was very friendly, efficient and polite. The location was amazing, hidden in the woods with the beach right in front. Like a little paradise 10min away from crowded Pataya. Lipe Sunset beach resort is a good example of how the simplicity with good taste is always the best way to go. Thank you, can't wait to come back!

Enjoy the sea breeze and the friendly staf!”
Very nice cottage at the beach. Small beach which you have basically to yourself. Lovely sea breeze on the balcony in the evening. My compliments to the friendly staff, who drove us to the beach/town each time we asked!

Excellent”
A very quiet place, away from the crowds which is exactly what we came for. Beautiful view over the bay, free small breakfast and a free taxi to walking street back and forth. Friendly, helpful staff. Only they never emptied the garbage in our bungalow which was a little... Disgusting after a while... otherwise awesome place!

Above average”
Too expensive for the room that we stayed, although it cannot be helped since it was high season for Lipe. It can be better if they renovate the bathroom.

Unit not as described. NO AIRCOND”
They served light breakfast (coffee and toast) on our first morning there, but on our 2nd morning, only coffee, no toast. Free shuttle to Walking Street, thanks to their staff, Nan. Location - If you want a place that gives you access to private beach, this is the place. But the beach is only nice when it's on high tide. When it's on low tide, many shallow, damaged reefs are exposed - it's an eyesore. You need to walk far to enjoy swimming at low tide. Facilities - Again, room was not as described.. I'm fine sleeping without aircond but the sea breeze here was weak (the place is facing another BIG island Koh Adang which is not that far away) and if you let the door open you're welcoming an army of mosquitoes inside your room (even with the door shut they can get into your rooms through wood gaps) The interior part of the bungalow is not displayed in the photo. The unit is like a duplex, with ~1m open staging of about 15m2 for the bed and this made the unit not child friendly.

Exellent double bungalow on the beach”
We were tired and hot after some hours on the speed-boat from Phi Phi Island. The transport to the resort was included in the price. We travelled cross the island in 10 minutes in a local taxi - a golf car. It was so calm on our almost private beach. At night we walked to Walkingstreet to have a meal. Everything is close on Koh Lipe. We sure can go back to Lipe Sunset resort! Unfortunately we only could stay one night because they were fully booked. We stayed five days in Lipe and in four places. All were good and Sunset was the most quiet.

Wonderful ”
We loved Lipe sunset beach resort. It's a little bit away from town as well as all the party people. If you want quiet this is the place. The best beach on the island can be reached in 5 minutes at low tide. You can get a 3 minute ride into town from Ton for free or you can tip him if you use his service a lot. The room we had was awesome. A small one room bungelow with air conditioner, small frig and safe. It has an private outdoor shower and Western style toilet. Keng who is the owner is very kind, accommodating and helpful. His English is good. Ton the driver is great. We had a lot of fun with the staff. Coffee, toast and fruit provided in the morning. We would definitely stay here again. If you don't want noise and crowds this is your place! Elizabeth Wolfe, Oakland, CA

couldn't fault it”
Had a lovely stay here. Joe the owner couldn't do more for you - free rides to walking street on demand. Secluded location away from the relative madness of pattaya. Recommend Flour Power for breakfast only a short walk away as there is are no restaurant facilities at lipe sunset. Would go back for sure

Nice holiday at Koh Lipe”
We really enjoyed staying at this resort and we strongly recommend it. Not fancy but clean, fairly priced, enough isolated from the noise of Pattaya beach. Awesome staff and well located: 2 minutes walking from a private beach and 10 minutes walking distance to the best beach on the island (North of Sunrise beach). The place is located 15 minutes walking from the main beach/shopping street. The transportation is 50Bath per person to reach it or the staff is very friendly and often organize a free pickup! No dining at the hotel, but really good food on the island.

Friendly staff, cute & quaint bungalows, peaceful surroundings”
2/27 The resort is located quite a bit away from Walking Street but Joe, the manager at the resort would offer rides whenever he was free and he was hospitable in general. Even on foot, it doesn't take too much time to get to the nearby beaches. In fact, pretty much everything on the tiny island is within walking distance. In the evening, there were heaps of tuk tuks lined up just around the corner. There is a small stretch of private beach in front of the resort, but not very many dining options. My bungalow was immaculate and built onto a steep hill. The bungalow was well kempt and had everything I needed, even toiletries and bottled water were provided. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

Very quite place for get away ”
Located on the sunset beach this hotel offers relaxed stay far away from the busy places of Lipe, on the other hand you will reach local walking street in just 10-15 min. At low tide (early morning and in the evening). I think what they charge for a tiny non air-con bamboo bungalow is to a little bit too much and you would find better deals, but for that money you get really new and clean room.

basic budget bungalows at koh lipe prices”
sunset beach resort is a decent basic accommodation option close to, but not actually at sunset beach (about 400 metres walk and location of nearest restaurants). the "breezy bungalows" do get good breezes - essential during really hot weather. they are comfortable and clean basic bungalows. do not keep any food in your room - it will be eaten by pests!!!! down a flight of steps from the bungalows is a small beach where you can swim only at high tide. to swim at low tide, turn right and walk about 10 minutes to the start of sunrise beach at andaman resort. when you arrive at koh lipe, to get to sunset beach resort, go on walking street and after about 100 metres look for a massage store on the right (next to a pharmacy) - they will phone sunset resort to send the golf cart to pick you up for free. otherwise, it is difficult to find your way to the resort walking (15-20 minutes) if you are not already familiar with the island.

A Home Away From Home”
I stayed at this little hotel for 2 nites and couldn't be happier, the bungalows are spaced out really good, the place was clean, there are mosquitos but once you put the net over your bed they are no bother, the place is located 15 minute walk from Walking St, and is on the shore of Sunset Beach, great little place to stay, I would certainly book here again, and if you need to catch the ferry early in the morning the guy that is in charge of the hotel will happily take you, this way you don't have to walk 5minutes to the motorbike taxis, the wifi was ok but there was no TV, pretty basic room with safety box, a bed, shower, toilet and sink, if you are booking this place bring someone with you, because at night is dark and very quiet only the wind howling tru the trees, PS: the front of the Hotel has a sign but a lot of construction around it, you have to walk inside towards the ocean, that is where the bungalows are located on a hill on the back of the entrance, I was dropped at the front but didn't see anybody and it looked deserted so I return and grab a taxi and he took me to the same place but this time the motorbike taxi drove inside where the reception was, after the guy checked me in everything was good.

Relaxed Island Beach Get Away”
From the moment we arrived on the island we felt very welcomed at the resort. Everything was done to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Keng, the owner, treated us as friends and we enjoyed many pool games and fun nights here. It is truly unbelievable to fall asleep to the sound of the waves from your own traditional bungalow and then walk down to the beach which you practically have to yourself. Great snorkeling here as well! We cannot wait to come back!

Close to Sunset beach with the most amazing staff”
The breezy bungalows were basic but nice, however they were not cleaned nor towels changed during our four-day stay. Staff provided new towels when asked. Some of us also had problems with mosquitos, but there is a mosquito net and you should bring your repellent since it might be an issue in other places too. What makes the place cozy though is the staff, Joe would always give us a lift to Walking Street or back and ask if we were fine. He also showed us the nicest beaches and places to eat on the island. All in all, it's a bit too expensive considering value for money, but Ko Lipe in general seems to be more expensive than rest of the areas in Thailand.

Reasonable Price and Nice View”
First, I was impressed with the beautiful view when I looked out from the terrace and the room, where closed the beach. The room was clean and I could see the same view from the long window in the rest room while shower, so relaxed. The location was silent, private and far from the crowd. I love here. Just 5 minutes from the resort to Walking Street-Pattaya Beach by taxi service of the resort, it was convenient. However, every bed had a net, but it's better if taking mosquito-repellent, because many big mosquitoes were in the night. No breakfast and No restaurant, only coffee/coco was at the reception. The staff was friendly and gave good service to all guests.

Experience the tide”
The "brightest star" :-) of this resort is Joe, who runs the place. Always happy to help, take you for free and pick you up from the "town" with his "tuk tuk". The resort itself is situated on a hill, quite far from the walking street, so you have to count on Joe or taxi (priced per person) to get there (if only to get something to eat - the resort has no bar etc.), the walk is long and not really pleasant. We stayed at the wooden bungalow at the beach. The bungalow is spacious (with a bed "upstairs") and neat; towels, sheets and even the mosquito net smell nicely. In the evening the tide comes, the beach dissapears and you feel like you have the roaring sea at your doorstep. If you are not used to it, it can be hard to fall asleep. It’s very climatic though. The other "noise" issue is that the beach bungalow consist of two "apartments", separated by wooden wall, which - if you have got neighbours - creates privacy issues, because you can literally hear "everybody's everything". All in all it's worth staying at Joe's ;-) to experience sleeping in a wooden house directly at the sea.
