We did a short family trip to Portugal and this was a great spot close to transportation, restaurants, shopping. The breakfast was tasty and the restaurant on the top floor has beautiful views of the city. The room was clean and good size. The spa looked nice although we didn’t get a chance to use it. The hotel named after the great poet, Fernando Pessoa, was a wonderful place that did not betray the feelings of his admirers. Arriving at 2 PM, I headed to the rooftop bar 'MENSAGEM' on the fifth floor with the welcome drink coupon I was immediately given (named after the title of Pessoa's poetry collection that represents Portugal). Sitting at the counter, overlooking the blue sky, St. George’s Castle in front of me, and the houses with apricot-colored roofs and white walls, the mojito I drank felt refreshing and clear, as if it were welcoming my arrival from faraway Japan. At 3 PM, I was comforted by the smile of Mr. Yasoja, who came to greet me as I made my way to the room (Unique Room), which also reflected Pessoa's spirit with his many aliases. The room was perfect in terms of size and cleanliness, with a mini-bar that was replenished daily for free and a jacuzzi bath; there was nothing to complain about. Furthermore, as I celebrated my birthday in this land, I received a delightful surprise gift of champagne and brownies! During my stay, Mr. Yasoja cheerfully greeted and said goodbye to me every day at the front desk, responding to many of my requests, and was a very reassuring presence. Additionally, all the other staff were warm and welcomed me as if I were at home. After staying for a total of 7 nights, choosing this hotel felt like something that was meant to be, a strange experience as if I was being drawn towards it. Perfect location. Very close to the top of the elevator and great views from the Terrace restaurant. The breakfast was perfect, wide selection of hot foods and lots of fruit. Delicious homemade yogurt and also a made to order omelette! Only wish they had hot chocolate available at the breakfast! Gym and spa facilities were clean.

I felt a bit unfair because the price was around 100,000 won cheaper than when I made the reservation three months ago, but it was a hotel with a good location, close to the local tour meeting point. On the first day, Yasoja came out and helped carry our luggage from the taxi into the hotel, and on the day of checkout, he kindly moved our luggage to the taxi stand, which was excellent service. Especially when entering the address in the taxi app, he wrote down the address of the taxi stand on flat land, saying that taxis do not come to the hotel since it is on a hill, which made it easy for us to go to Lisbon Airport. He also remembered the personal requests I made during our stay and followed up on the results, which was impressive. I was so impressed by Yasoja that I kept putting off writing the hotel review. ^^ The advantages were that it was located right in the middle of the city near major tourist attractions, the pre-breakfast taste was excellent, the food variety was good, and the melon was very delicious. The hygiene and cleaning conditions were also satisfactory for a hotel. The cleaning was well done, and the service was friendly. The downside is that the prices fluctuate a lot due to promotions, and we ended up paying about 100 euros more than others who stayed with us, even though it was the off-season, which was disappointing. If you make a reservation when there are price events, you can have good value for money. In fact, even though our room was on the top floor under the restaurant, the window faced the parking lot rather than the main road, making it dark. Unlike other rooms with the same options, there was no bench under the window and only one chair in the room, making it difficult for two people to relax. Above all, it was a room that did not get much sunlight, was dark, and had a view of renovation work right outside, so we couldn't open the window. Unlike other rooms, the shower and toilet were separated by glass doors, and we had to enter through wooden doors, making it dark and suffocating. Since we had already booked at a high price and the facilities were inadequate, I wanted to request a room change, but I decided to let it go since we were scheduled to be out for local tours. The structure of the sink (with a high drain) was unique, causing water to not drain completely and pool, which was uncomfortable. Overall, compared to nearby accommodations, it was clean, and if there were promotions, the prices were reasonable. The free use of the minibar in the room and good access to indoor facilities (rooftop sauna, pool, etc.) were positives, but the sink drainage facilities, lack of relaxation space in the room, dark and poorly ventilated view, and the structure of the bathroom and toilet were somewhat disappointing for a hotel.
