Little Eden Guesthouse
The setup of this "resort" is very very tasteful. Really nice houses in a beautiful garden. We were in a house on the river. The view from the veranda is fantastic and you can cross the river by a hanging bridge and make a walk in the jungle on the other side. There were some minor issues with maintenance like the swimmingpool could not be used the time being. But who cares when you are in such a nice environment. We had a very very good time there
i recommand it,,,,,,,excelent for price”
Quiet and beautyfull …..beside a river with bambou suspend bridge...pool...trees…..
Just avoid, not worth a stop, creepy”
I do not recommend this place and believe you can find better if you want to stay in the area, maybe jungle guest house for dorms or Soppon River Inn. I do not normally write reviews but feel the need to warn folks about this place. First off, it is important to note where this place is, it is in Pang Mapha aka Soppong, and is no where near Mae Hong Son nor Pai, at about an hour between each one. The town it is in is microscopic and is not worth spending any time in. On to the hotel. The hotel is weird. The cheaper bungalows are terrible so we upgraded to a better room (D1) which was not too bad actually. The owners are simply creepy and while they will not talk to you nor engage you (unless you are German, apparently), they are omnipresent and stare at you, making the vibe very creepy. It is like you are imposing on them by staying at their house (and it is their house), akin to imposing on your parents by moving back into the basement. The pool is not well maintained and is full of dead bugs. Also it is way too cold here to even want to use the pool, so if you are leaning towards this place for the pool rest assured it is not worth it. Finally, one large complaint for the staff. Upon check in and upgrading our rooms, the receptionist Jay told us breakfast was included. We asked again just to confirm: “so breakfast is included?” His reply: “yes, included!” Now how anyone confuses that to mean that, no, in fact breakfast is not included I have no idea. But suffice it to say it was very annoying to be given a 900 baht bill upon check out for what we thought was included. Not the end of the world but annoying and really put our neutral feeling of this place into negative territory.
Nice place to stay near Tham Lod Cave”
Staff was friendly, they upgraded me to a nicer room when I arrived so I had a bit more space. Downside was that it was a pool-facing room and I had to keep the curtains drawn all the time or it felt like people were in my business. But it was okay because it helped keep the room cooler. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were very good. Didn't really use the pool, it looked a little dirty the one time I went in. Lovely place to chill out near the river on a hammock. Bathroom could have been cleaner. I kept finding lots of little bugs in there.
Mae Hong Son Loop”
Stopped here during my journey around the Mae Hong Son loop and I wished I could have stopped and stayed here the entire time. The bungalows were adorable and well equipped and the pool area was a relaxing oasis that I didn't expect. The staff was great!
Nice hotel, great value for money”
Nice, affordable hotel. The extra bed was horribly lumpy, but our daughter didn't seem to mind. Great hot shower!
There is not much choice around soppong inmy opinion, but it's a nice stopover for the loop. We had the river view house. It was very satisfying. Not so much to do around, but that has nothing to do with the hotel /guesthouse. Take a good book and sit at the varanda overviewing the jungle. A cool cable bridge above the river connects the place with the jungle forrest. It has a nice pool, good kitchen and a very great and hounest staff.
Couldn't ask for more. What a great owner and property.
Nice place but owner ”
Nice little bungalow with a great pool. However, the owner was kind of rude. She seemed disinterested and took her time doing everything. She also didn't feel up to cooking the night we were there which is a shame because one of the reasons we booked the place was because of the food. I'd probably stay again, but would hope the owner would lighten up
The Guesthouse is charming and has lovely gardens. It is a very peaceful and quiet setting. Most of the staff was wonderful and friendly except for the owner who was very curt. The service at the restaurant was very slow and we had to wait a long time for our meal.
Very nice place! Provide you with more then you need. Such a beautiful and relaxing place.
Budget room is Jasmine room at guesthouse. It is part of ground floor 2 storey building and consist 3 small parts - bed, sitting area with small table and 2 chairs and shower with toilet. I was there in February and there was wery cold inside room especially by nights. A little big fa from downtown of Soppong.
I would recommend staying in a room, not a bungalow, although those are cheap and cute. Beds were harder and I thought i could smell the toilet all night. The room (Jasmine room) was like 15$, huge, clean, comfy bed, and I could hear the river and the frogs all night. Amazing. The terrace on the river is awesome for reading. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Very slow service and kind of expensive. Strange menu.
Value for Money”
Stayed 2 nights. Overall experience was good. The staffs could only understand basic English and there wasn't anyone at the reception upon check in. The room lighting is poor, few light bulbs burned out during the stay. Love the pool table the most.
I booked by mistake thinking it was in Mae Hong Son but it turned out to be great. The location is nice, with a pool and little corner right on the river and a bamboo bridge. There is a little bit of noise from the street, as it's not in the middle of the jungle. Staff is nice, food great and good value. One of the best places we stayed in in this trip.
I really like the place with a nice chill area near the river but there are a lot of mosquitos. I like the room very nice and lots of variety. Mosquito net should be placed in the windows. Mosquito nets are broken. Step down to bathroom is a bit dangerous for less able. Perhaps 2 steps need to be added although door help.
As expected, pokey little bungalow”
She offered us a rather expensive upgrade, but while we were considering a family arrived and we were quickly stuck with a non a/con hut. No swing bridge as shown
Lovely nook in Soppong”
Little Eden is right off the main road in Soppong. That is the only thing I didn't like about it. I prefer no noise and you could hear the main road during the day. At night Soppong is a ghost town and the evenings are relaxing. The property is beautiful and the garden immaculate. The pool is great for hot days. I little paradise away from the cities of Pai and Mae Hong Son. I had a basic bungalow. If you hate bugs, it's not for you. The other rooms are great for those that want a more western style accommodation. The food is great and Pen the owner is really laid back and friendly. Wish I had taken a trek with her. It's very close to Lod Cave which is awesome. Go there. I recommend this place if you're visiting the area.
Great place! ”
Nice place, nice people, excellent food.”
A very nice ambiance, a nice cosy restaurant which facilitate to get togheter. A nice small sauna, a beautiful lounge terrace on the river. Pen & Luna (owner & welcoming person) make everything easy. I receive a precious detailed map to go around. And last but not least, the cooking is delicious with most thaï dishes and all breakfast you would like (no meal at noon).
