Where to stay in Liwan District
Liwan District hotels & accommodations

shamian island is like a colonial feel.. nice restaurants and short walk to many attractions like shangxiajiu pedestrian walk, digital mall, and business districts.. night cruise on the pearl river is a must-go... attentive, meticulous, helpful staff.. nice pool, great buffet from the hotel

I love the location of this holiday inn, set in the middle of liwan district, walking out from the hotel, there are great restaurants, a cinema, good and cheap shopping and massage (nearer to 7 day inn). It is a special experience especially walking around at night as it is afterall old guangzhou and you feel like you are in a period drama. Venturing further, there are...

Good location on Shamian Island. Public transport (metro) is max 10min walk away while Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, Qingping Street and many restaurants are a short walk away. Great base within the Liwan district. Hotel itself is on the older side but was good value for money. The staff's grasp of English could be better as they struggled to converse over basic thing...

Very satisfy for the stay, stayed for 3 nights. Cleanliness - 10/10 Staff - 9/10 (minus 1 mark due to counter staff, the cleaner staff are very helpful and nice, efficient when u requested for room cleaning service) Location - 10/10 , very near to the clothing wholesale area and walking distance to subway too Facilities - 2/10 : -no toilet at lobby...can't even use a t...

Generally not bad. Room with timber floor (looks like quite new), no cigarette smell, except the corridor which the carpet flooring is a bit old with little smell but is ok when the corridor air con is on. Looks like the corridor wall painting work was last done several years ago.The hot & cold water supply and room air condition worked well. Hair drier, tooth brush an...

last time I stayed here I was impressed. this time not so much. We had no shower/toilet door. It had been smashed off (still glass left in hinges) worse than this was that the toilet seat was broken and moved around as you say. potentially dangerous. We had 2 double rooms booked. we received 1 double and 1 twin. We will not book in advance next time and have a wander a...

Located at serene Shamian district area. They upgraded my room to deluxe suite due to unavailability of my originally booked room. The staffs were helpful too. There is no subway station in Shamian island. You have to walk 400m to the nearest Culture Park station. Pleasant stay overall.

Price is reasonable although there are others in the area that are cheaper. Location is fantastic and is very convenient to get food or shop. However the mtr station is quite a distance away. Requested for twin bed and non-smoking room when booking. But they gave a double bed room. Managed to change to a twin bed room but the cigarette smell in the room is strong and n...

Booked Deluxe King Bed on Agoda, for 8 nights. Prepaid for entire stay online. We arrived late at night (12MN), showed voucher printout, no problem. There’s an elevator so it wasn’t difficult to bring our bags up to our 5th floor room ourselves. The room strongly smelled of smoke. But once aircon is turned on, the smell will kind of go away. There was a king bed as...

after booking/paying through internet, we ended up in a small window less room , my chinese girlfriend went down & placed a complaint. After paying additional - she came back with a new room card, the new room was more likely what we payed for but still having to pay up.....why?, the aircon in room did not work to well.......

This hotel is value for money with all amenities provided including kettle, hair dryer, big TV, disposable slippers, one universal plug and good Wifi. Check-in is smooth. Two clean towels are provided sealed in plastic. Water pressure is strong. My room is clean, but small without view.
