        Exceptional”

        Intent on exploring NZ's northernmost city, we spent two happy nights at The Lodge Bordeaux. The owners were charmingly personable and helpful, the room was spacious, and well appointed, the decor in keeping with it's Francophile leanings, the bathroom was almost as big again and the spa bath the apogee of its form, the fridge had aspirations of being a bar fridge, and as one might hope with a name like Lodge Bordeaux there was even decent wine to purchase for a reasonable price. Easy walking distance to the city centre meant we enjoyed a very tasty Indian meal, in a Tudor-esque building, in NZ (one of those delightfully incongruous juxtapositions) before strolling back up the hill to watch the commonwealth games on the Tele. All in all highly recommended.

        lovely relaxing stay the best hotel in whangarie”

        location, beautiful decor, modern well equipt kitchen

        We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge Bordeaux, we arrived to a warm welcome. The one bedroom apartment was luxurious and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was of a high standard and had a comprehensive mini bar which included beautiful New Zealand wines. We would definately recommend this hotel.

        location great breakfast

        The lodge was a pleasant place to spend the night in large rooms with a great breakfast included. The lodge is right next to the main highway which makes it a noisy sleep if you open any Windows.

        Relaxing and Convenient”

        Location, Bath Spa, Friendly Staff

        Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Very easy to locate with relaxing and comfortable rooms. Bath spa was a very nice feature and only downside would have to be the size of the TV. Great value for money and would definitely stay there again.
