This budget hotel is located in front of Kuching Waterfront. We stayed 1 night only at 2 bunk bedroom. Shared bathroom. Old room but clean and acceptable. No staff available to attend my stay. Ok la.

strategic location near the waterfront. the place is nice and all, just that it will be noisy at night from the buskers down the street. Had a little problem during checking-in. The staff was not always there n did not respond to phone call. But for the price of RM27/ night, it was good overall.

The Loft Waterfront ”
The location of this property is very strategic as it is right in the heart of Kuching city. And the price is reasonably cheap, as well. The toilets/bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Overall, this place is fairly clean. But that’s about it. Don’t expect too much. Now, I’ve been to other backpackers lodge/hostel before and in comparison, the part that the owner of this property should have improved (obviously) is: 1. The towels and beddings. I would like to know if the owner/operator would themselves use the towels they provide to guest. It smells really bad (like dirty socks) and it looks like a rug. ALL OF IT. Please change the towels you provided to the guests. Towels are not expensive, so please buy some new stocks and don’t ever use those piece of clothes as towels for guests ever again. (Even the towels donated to animal shelters are in better condition). The beddings smells mouldy as well, probably because of improper wash/drying. 2. The absence of their receptionist/helper. The only way to contact this property is through Whatsapp. There’s nobody in the premise to assist you if anything were to happen. And worse, if your phone ran out of battery and you gotta contact them. You should be at the property to assist guests even for a short while. In conclusion, this place has a lot of potential if maintained property. The location is good, the price is really cheap. If minor upgrades/improvements on the stuff mentioned above were made, i think they will be able to attract more (decent) guests.

Don’t believe from what you are seeing on the reviews and comments, as i booked based on the good reviews and comments but it’s totally opposite and it’s a big disaster. No one at the counter, Toilet is in a big mess with shit/poop around without working flush system. Room is not as how as in the pictures. So better watch out and don’t be blinded and it is not worth at all. I

Avoid, not recommended. Had to wait so long for them to allow me to enter the premises. The air conditioner was not working and had to temperorary change to another room just for a night. Was asked to return to original room in the morning soonest possible as the said room is meant for others. Terrible experience.

The hotel is located exactly in front of waterfront kuching, upstair of KK Mart (easy for you to buy anything). It has 3 shared toilets outside of the room. All the facilities are in good condition. The staffs also very friendly! I stay there for 3 nights.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Hostel located right at the heart of Kuching Waterfront. Short walk away from the nearest shopping complex and a boat away from a cheap Kek Batik and Terubuk Masin place. As this is a hostel, do not compare this with a hotel, but i provides more than a hostel can give

(+) hot water for bath,body soap, hand shop, towel, free wifi wich is very fast and free drink such as coffee /tea/cereal/biscuit/Milo. We can lend an umbrella for a rainy day. Kuching Waterfront just across the street. (-)the room was too small.

We loved our stay at Loft Waterfront ! The receptionist was friendly, the room small but confortable, the bathrooms great. The hostel has plenty of small details which make our stay different ! And the location is perfect. After 2 years of traveling, we think it's one of the best hostel of Asia !!

Small, very basic rooms, sufficient for the very low room rate. Location is unbeatable, right at Kuching Waterfront. Reception staff is nice and helpful.

Under RM50, Friendly Staff”
Honestly, I'm expecting something less since the price is cheap. But I'm wrong. The place is perfectly fit for a solo traveller / couple. Located above a convenience store, you can get your midnight snacks or drinks downstairs. Just as a reminder, it's a hostel. So don't expect it to be like a 5 star hotel. Shared bathroom but its clean, basic facilities like wifi, heater, iron are available. Just remember it use a wooden floor, so when people walking from their room to the toilet, you can hear it clearly. Location wise, waterfront is just across the street. There's a lot of local eateries and attraction within walking distance. Really recommended. Do walk in if you can't call the place. =D

Unbeatable location at affordable price”
We booked a 4-bed room here at this hostel. The best part about this hostel is its location, situated right in front of the Waterfront Main Bazaar, and it is easy to walk to different parts of the city centre. The hostel is also quite clean, aircond is working perfectly well, towels provided, and a very friendly lady managing the property. Highly recommended for those looking for a budget stay in this part of the city!
