Best hotels & accommodations in Long Island City

new york was recovering from the devastation of hurricane sandy when we stayed at hotel vetiver. i tried this hotel due to the good reviews written in many websites. it is located in a very quiet community and nearby are 2 subway stations that brings you to downtown manhattan in a few minutes and 1 ride to jfk. the room (double bed) is huge by new york standards. b...

We have stayed here many times to visit a daughter in Astoria and attend the US Open in Queens, and there is no other place I book when coming to NYC. It's a short subway ride into Manhattan, and there's an excellent restaurant just up the street (Dutch Kills Central) for drinks and an evening meal or Sunday brunch. The hotel is spotless, the rooms have everything you ...

A great New Hotel addition is Long Island City which is just 2 trains (5min) by train into Manhattan. This is a clean hotel. Owner has invested good money on decor & comfort of rooms with soft mattress and cushion pillows. Internet is fast & good. TV has all available channels. And a nice pool table for evening relax. Nothing much around this hotel except a deli. Ne...

The hotel is located in Long Island City. The rooms are clean and there is free WiFi and cable television. Breakfast included hot waffles ,yogurt ,fruit ,cereal and a host of other foods. It was very good. Parking was the only drawback. Drove around for over an hr. and could not street park. Ended up parking in Greenpoint and using a car service to get back to the hote...

If you are a group traveling on a budget, Best Western Plaza Hotel in Long Island City is for you. My kids and I stayed in a queen suite for 5 nights. The staff were helpful, courteous and attentive, the room was always kept clean, and the location is a mere 3 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station. But what takes the cake is the breakfast buffet, spartan but fillin...

We stayed at Paper Factory for 7 nights on 28th August – 4th September 2016. The hotel was based at 36th Street subway station and is directly across the road from the Hotel. This was extremely convenient. We were a bit weary of staying at this hotel because of its location, however, it really was a 10-15 minute subway journey to Times Square and approximately a 10 m...

I was in Long Is. City to visit my cousins who live nearby and just had a baby. The staff seemed excited too! They were so accomodating and friendly. We knew them all by name. My local cousins, the new parents live at the corner of the shuttle stop which could not have been more convenient. My bed was very comfortable, the bath facilities were all excellent and the t...

Decent sized rooms , clean, lovely shower, and we had a view of Empire state and Chrysler building. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice....you can even have filled doughnuts or make your own giant waffles. 10 minute walk to long island city ferry terminal ;$2.75 one way to Wall street terminal. The ferries are a great way to see the manhattan shoreline. Room cl...

Enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Garden Long Island City Hotel. Our room was neat and clean, friendly staff. We used the subway which is only a 10 minute walk. Always felt safe during day and night. They do have a shuttle which runs a certain schedule but we didn't use it that much and walked the 10 minutes to and from subway. 15 minute subway ride to Manhattan/Midtown. ...

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Room was clean and comfortable, although beds were too soft for out taste. Our room was on the 7th floor and on Monday morning we did hear noise coming from the street, but it wasn't so bad. We were able to find street parking right in front of the hotel, with many more empty spots peppered throughout neighborhood. We were able to l...

This is a great hotel to stay at when the Manhattan hotels are too expensive. Located between two subway stations with another two stations within walking distance and several food stores close by. Serves a good breakfast, it's very clean and the staff is great. The water pressure is weak on the 9th floor, but that's about the only bad thing I have to say about the hot...

One of the best hotels i have stayed during my business trips. Offers 5 star hotel comfort for the price of 3 star. Staff is very friendly and rooms are very clean. Room is also huge. No need to pay over 200 USD for New york. Just take metro to city centre (6-7 stops). Great Value for Great Money. Strongly suggested. The only negative side was the breakfast.

We recently stayed in the Quality Inn LIC. Our stay was v good. Only 2 or 3 stops from Manhattan (subway). The price was v good and location was great as a cheap base without spending Manhattan prices.Breakfast was included, also free use of internet, free newspapers and free tea & coffee 24 hours. Area wasn'y anything special. Subway lines nearby. The area is undergoi...

Pros: - Few minutes’ walk to the train stations. - Quite a few cafes in the vicinity. Dunkin’ Donuts is just nearby and there’s a food truck on the right when you walked out from the hotel, good for supper before heading back to rest. Cons: The customer service was horrible. We stayed here for 6 nights. We’ve already paid for the room in Agoda prior to our stay a...

After they heard that someone of us had birthday, they offered as two free drinks at the bar and free breakfast for every single day !!! The breakfast is small but totally okay for a good start into the day !! The hotel view over Manhattan is incredible and wonderful!! We fell in love with it !!! Area is super safe and 3 different subway stations are nearby which brings...

Hotel has easy access to subway, nothing much immediately around the hotel as it is a developing area with many new developments coming up which will change the place soon. The subway made it easy for our family of 3 to get to all parts of New York that I wanted to see plus more. Hotel is pretty clean and well managed as the only thing to consider is breakfast time as ...

I really had the pleasant stay in this hotel...Very nice staff and its free breakfast though only selective. But its really good for your budget.Really clean and strong internet connection.Always gave free coffee all day/night long.Thank you so much guys...Happy new year!

Never had any issues. It was quiet, good location, walking distance to subway, Dunkin donuts, grocery store, St. Patrick Catholic Church, diff restaurants across from hotel. clean, friendly staff, good housekeeping. Did not get a chance to try their restaurant bar downstairs. I stayed on the 5th floor. Used the gym, met my essential needs(Cardio+weights avail.) Only ...

1. The doors & the locks are very weak, DO NOT leave your money & laptops in your room. 2. There's strong perfume in the room 3. The rooms are old, do not believe the photos 4. Three rooms (7 guests) share the only one bathroom (the only toilet is inside the bathroom) 5. All rooms located at 3rd floor, there's no elevator. 6. Bring your own towel & toothbrush.

Definitely one of the cheaper hotels in the area but is completely worth it. The hotel just opened recently so it is extremely clean and nice. The rooms are a little small but other than that the rooms were comfortable. Location is great as there is a subway station to get to Manhattan 2 blocks a way. Definitely would stay there again in my next trip to NYC.

The hotel is great, modern, minimalist and spacious enough. It also has a great view of the Manhattan bridge and the city specially at night. Location is just a 3-minute walk to the nearest train station that will bring you to Times Square in just 5 stations. Would definitely stay again!!!

The call center parole are so helpful but the company policy was terrible and I'll never book again or even recommend it to anyone I know or don't know. I have booked three hotels, two in NYC and one in DC. I completed my stay at the first and second hotels whithout problems and I went to the third hotel which I booked through them as well in NYC but when I reached the...
