If you’re considering staying on Koh Rong island, let me save you some time as there’s really no need for you look at any other accommodation than Long Set Resort. Everything about our stay was incredible. It’s located on arguably the nicest beach on the island, with soft white sand and turquoise waters. It’s also right next to the pier, where we were warmly greeted by a member of staff who wheeled our luggage to the resort. So getting to and from Sihanoukville was really easy. It’s also away from any noisy hostels and parties, whilst also being within reasonable walking distance (or a boat taxi journey!) if you fancy attending these. There are also some restaurants and convenience stores a minute or two away, so there are options for food if you fancy eating outside of the resort. However, the meals we had at the resort were delicious and the breakfast options were plentiful and really tasty. The rooms and facilities are kept to a very high standard, with a high level of cleanliness and comfort. There’s also a pool with sun beds, an impressively-stocked gym and a ping pong room, so there’s plenty to do. The sun beds on the beach are particularly comfortable - which is where we spent a lot of our time sipping cocktails. Finally, the staff were brilliant, attentive and always friendly and smiling. It was genuinely a pleasure to interact with them each day. We were particularly pleased with Owen, who helped us out with plans, so many arrangements and he was always happy to give us advice about the island. He really always went above and beyond with us. Overall, all the staff did a great job, the resort and setting is stunning, and I’d recommend it to anyone I know. It was a slice of paradise we’ll never forget.

The location of the hotel is perfect—close enough to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Koh Rong, yet far enough to offer a peaceful retreat. We loved the beautiful beachfront and the absolutely stunning views while enjoying the plentiful and varied food selections from the buffet. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and delicious, which was a pleasant surprise. The overall price was also very reasonable for the quality of service and amenities provided. Traveling with children can sometimes be a challenge, but Long Set Hotel offered enough activities to keep the entire family entertained. From volleyball and kayaking to relaxing by the pool, there was something for everyone. We also appreciated the variety of dining options available, both at the hotel and nearby. Overall, Long Set provided a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure for our family. I cannot say enough positive things about Long Set Resort and we are so incredibly happy we chose the hotel for our week on Koh Rong. The manager and team were so incredibly welcoming and kind and did everything they could to make sure we were always happy and comfortable. The resort facilities are beautiful and beautifully kept - the team keep the beach and surroundings pristine, and there were plenty of sun beds in both the sun or under umbrellas/palm trees, as well as tables and hammocks to lounge. We only used the pool once but it was a comfortable temperature and, again, clean with lots of sun loungers. Our room was very comfortable with a good sized modern bathroom and great air conditioning. The staff cleaned it everyday and left us fresh towels, bottles of water and coffees. The breakfast had a really good variety of food and the restaurant had a lovely view of the beach and sea. There was plenty of fruit, hot foods (bacon, baked beans, chicken wings, rice, etc), bread/croissants, make your own noodle soup and a cook to order eggs station. We also went on a really great boat trip with the resort where we were taken snorkelling, fed fresh seafood, stopped on a beach for the sunset then swam just after dark to see tho bioluminescent plankton. Their hospitality was incredible and definitely a highlight of our trip!
Great property, though there are better beaches at koh rong”
I had a lovely night's stay on the property. It's a bit pricey but the amenities probably justify it. The place is clean and well maintained. Was able to walk along the beach to cheaper restaurants for meals. Breakfast was great , especially enjoyed the noodle broth. The added advantage is that the ferry pickup is right next to the resort and they help you get your luggage to the pier right on time for the pick up. The spa also looked very good although didn't get a chance to try it. My only grouse was that the soksan beach on the other side of the island was far cleaner ..more pristine. This was more crowded and hence I found plastic wrappers and shards of broken glass on the shore... Tip: carry a torch to walk along the beach at night.

We loved this resort. Easily accessible from the ferry. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious. The beach is really clean and well cared for. Lots of beach chairs as well as ample room around the pools. Has complimentary SUP's, snorkelling gear and kayaks. Is close to other resorts, so plenty of options for eating out. We had a perfect day on the day we arrived,. It looked just like the pictures do! Then it was quite windy and the beach had small waves. But you could still swim. It's within walking distance to Koh Touch too, which is. a bonus.
