Loved how there were animals everywhere, it’s an animal friendly place, and especially loved how the cleaner had a helper.. Also the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in, in ages and the PILLOWS, were to die for, I LOVED THEM that much that I wanted to take the home with me. Best place yet on our Honeymoon trip..

A Lodge Worth A Vacation on Its Own”

Staying in Longbourne Lodge this summer was very relaxing. Instead of going out for sight seeing in Dunedin and nearby places, we settled for a one day chilling out in our lodge to enjoy the view, the space and the relaxing ambience of the place. It is truly worth as a place you can call a Vacation on its Own. Kudos to the owners who happen to be ex-Aucklanders! Glad to meet you. You are a kind and happy couple. Cheers!

Lovely place”

This is a lovely place in a quiet and peaceful location, surrounded by countryside and a variety of wildlife. The accommodation is very comfortably furnished and is very spacious. The management are very helpful and friendly and the provision of ingredients for a cooked breakfast is a great idea. There is also a guest laundry on site. There is a range of shops and a supermarket, petrol station is nearby Mosgiel. We will definitely stay here again and can wholeheartedly recommend.

Excellent if you are catching an early flight from Dunedin airport. (20kms). No shops or restaurants handy. Very clean and well equipped.

Rooms are very small and poorly equipped. Property is in the country a long way from Dunedin or any facilities. Wifi is good. Main criticism is that the room is cramped and cluttered.

Peaceful and Tranquility ”

We booked Longbourne Lodge as we needed accomodation to attend a concert at Forsyth Barr Stadium and this was the only accom available in all of Dunedin. Well worth the 15 minute drive. Modern clean facilities, peace and tranquility, awesome rural setting. Rated food facilities as a 1 because we didn't use them and it wouldn't let me skip the question. Found out after speaking to the very friendly staff that they are a dog friendly lodge even better for future visits. Fully fence paddock to exercise our furry friends. This lodge will be a first choice for us in the future. Beautiful surroundings amongst sheep, horses and cows in the adjoining paddocks. The views from our unit (5) were stunning..... Nothing too much trouble very friendly staff that took the time to talk and make sure your needs were met. Would highly recommend if it sounds like you. A++

Very clean room, beautiful scenery in the middle of farm around 15 minutes drive from the city, nice & helpful host - he reminded us to check the updates on the status of the road for our next destination since it was snowing in parts of the island. The kitchen has electric frying pan which is convenient for travellers who prefer to cook. The internet service is high speed with unlimited data. The additional sofa bed is foldable & big, not a typical small 2-seater sofa. It was very comfortable to sleep on it.

A great place to stay if you enjoy a rural setting. Very dog friendly with a secure walking area and plenty of grass. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our unit was spotlessly clean.

We were extremely happy with everything at Longbourne Lodge. I have a BnB and have found that in most cases, the cleaner and tidier the unit is, the better it is treated and left. You will not be disappointed when booking at Longbourne. Thank you for a short but wonderful stay!
