Beach front, Abit expensive, Near airport 10mins by bus”
Good location beach front and near bus stop. If you looking for one or two nights before moving here is good choice. Hulhumale is local residents area so no bikini at all if somebody tell you can wear bikini is not true police will be come soon. From Male airport just take bus 10mins and they have bus every 30min. About hotel is renovated and room abit small but fine because you not stay all time. In front of hotel have many attractions but expensive. Coffee shop near by is good (Family coffee shop). Restaurant around there is also expensive. I think this island kind of local tourist place so everything expensive. Breakfast is okay. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Too far from city !! Rip off place !!!”
This is too far from cbd and very quiet area to stay for transit. Check the location on map beforehand. And this hotel tried to rip off me $25for bed sheet and $10 usd for transport very near from airport. Unbelievable dont stay there !!!!!

The hotel is now closed and the hotel staff didnot inform us about it, due to which we faced a lot of trouble. We couldn't find a good room to stay and had to stay in a shady hotel.

Hotel out of service”
For months it is out of business. Building has new company, name Punjabi Spjce but also not working. Telephone out of service too. I had to improvise a new hotel. Sadly it was already 10pm... Disgusting

Great option as a transit hotel”
I really liked Loona hotel. The staff is super sweet and they have everything set up for you on your arrival. Our favourite was "the boy" meeting us at the airport. When you have no expectation whatever and you land at night time in Male airport you might feel a bit insecure of things and taking in the environment, but when we met up with "the boy" i felt relaxed. He explained that we had to wait in order to get our transport to the hotel which he apologized for but was of no problem at all for us. There is a reason you might have to end up waiting for it. Only taxi-companies are allowed picking people up at the air-port and there are not many of them, so imagine yourself having a couple of airplanes landing at the same time and a lot of the passengers will have to have a taxi.... Loona is a small hotel on the airport island mostly serving transit passengers on their way out to the resort islands. You can tell they have really put an effort to make the rooms comfortable with an eye for details. The room is clean, the bathroom is clean. And yes, it looks exactly like on the pictures here. The best part was the service and how they informed us of our departure and making sure we would find our way to the right resort "booth" the following day when we were leaving to our resort. For the money spent on Loona hotel, it was worth it. This is what you pay and this is what you get. This is Maldives. Great job and a big thank you especially to "the boy" at the airport.

Nice place next to Male airport”
We were staying in the hotel for one night - just to get some rest after the flight. This hotel is nice to spend time if you are coming or leaving the country. The female staff was very helpful and English skills were perfect. They even contacted our other hotel and arranged when we shoud show up at airport for the pick up. We had a little problem with our room's bathroom, so the room was changed on the spot. However male staff is lack of competence and english language skills. We also liked the beach, wich is out of the hotel. However you cant were bikinis, because its public beach. Anyway we saw couple polish who were not caring about this restriction and were swiming in the sea. Everyone talks about the taxi prices -for us it cost 32 dollars per person. But you can also take a bus , which cost a few dollars. The bus stop is close to the hotel. In general i would recommend staying in Loona hotel.

"Great location but small room "”
We a family of four visited Loona Hotel in Dec 2012. We stayed for 5 days. The hotel is located right on the beach. It is the best hotel in Hulhu Male. The Hotel is well furnished and clean. Since there is not much land available on this island, all the hotels are considerably small. Hence most of the rooms are smaller than regular. But for its beautiful location,all this will not matter. The Hotel staff is wonderful,hospitable and ever helpful.The Manager was patient and dealt with all our requests. He even helped us plan our holiday. They made us feel at home. The breakfast provided was good- usual continental fare(breads,cereals,fruits,eggs,sausages etc) Lots of local restaurants,shops and taxis available close by. Ideal,peaceful Maldivian Holiday.

Friendly and helpful staffs”
It was pleasant to stay in Loona hotel. We arrived late that night, and there was people to pick us up in the airport. That was good. The hotel room is OK, given the price. The staffs were kind and helpful. We got a lot of help from Shujaav Ali, one hotel manager there. As we couldn't take the early morning seaplane, he helped us to keep contacting the resort and seaplane company, and finally managed to re-schedule another time slot for us to take the seaplane. We really appreciated that. The staffs in the hotel cafeteria were also very kind. We went to breakfast late, but he still served us the food and coffee. The hotel area was very quiet, so was good for sleep.

Helpful staffs, Beautiful Room”
When i arrived at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, i got very surprised because there were no taxi stand by at the airport. I didn't arrange transport with my hotel because i expect there should be any taxis stand by there. Then i went to the airport information counter and the staff suggested me to make phone call to my hotel for free, and my hotel said they will call taxi for me and told me wait at the information counter. It was 11.00PM and raining, i wait for like 1 hour for the taxi, but it's okay i understood because it's already late night, raining, and i didn't arrange the transport before. The taxi cost 10 USD, and took 15 mins to arrived at the hotel which located at Hulhumale island, nearest island from airport. The hotel is located in front of the beach, has a well decorated room although it's very small, can barely walk inside the room. They served english breakfast, some breads with omelette and fresh juice. Overall it was a very good stay. P.s. : Hulhumale beach is crowd-free, its beautiful white sandy beach is a lil bit under-the-radar and underrated

Great location, lovly hotel & friendly staff”
great hotel in male/hulhumale with a nice looking beach just in front. i stayed 3 nights with my wife &3.5 years old son and enjoyed the stay very much. staffs are very freiendly and attended to every need of us. room was great compared to hotels in this class; spot clean and very nice.food too very good.free wifi available in room. easy access to airport through taxi (15 mins); access to male is through ferry running every 15 mins; just 5 mins to ferry terminal from hotel (taxi).

Good hotel for a short stay”
We stayed it this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. Hulhumalé is a 10 minutes drive from the Male International Airport. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean but rather small and the area is very quiet. It is good for an overnight before heading to another island. The hotel offers all the amenities that you would expect like satellite TV, Wi-Fi etc. Breakfast is okay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Loona hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Ahmed! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! Excellent choice for a nightbover in Male!
