"Lord Howe Island has been on my list to visit for a long time. I finally made it. The Milky Way hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The first greeting at the airport by the pickup staff (included) was warm and genuine. I was then given a short orientation of the town and finally taken to my unit. The staff didn't just drop me off they explained what was in the unit (free eggs, bread, milk and bacon for the first breakfast) as well as what was available on the island. As this was winter, limited activities and open restaurants was available, however what was unexpected was that as part of the stay, the staff would come around each morning, see what I wanted to do and then book it for me, including restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to stay at."

"We spent 6 wonderful nights here in June. Excellent communication and hospitality from host prior and during booking. Well run and extremely clean and comfortable with well equipped kitchen and bbq area for self-caterers. Position excellent - just a couple of minutes forest walk to Ned's Beach where we snorkelled every day. Only a 10 minute walk to 'CBD' store and nearby restaurant etc. Free wifi appreciated also. Gardens lovely. We hope to stay again and have no hesitation in giving our highest recommendation to others looking for Lord Howe Accommodation."

"We had a great time on Lord Howe Island. The staff were great at Arijilla. At some of the meal times they might have been a little understaffed as on a few occasions they were slow bring drinks or completely forgot to bring things. The Breakfast buffet could have been topped up a bit more. A few times there was no yoghurt or milk or the water jug was completely empty. But simply fixed by asking the staff. Overall the tood was very nice. Kids meals offered to the children. "

"Lovely, quiet one bedroom apartment. We have two teenage daughters, they put their beds in the living area, plenty of room. Bedroom and bathroom were large. Therese met us at the airport, took us around the island so that we knew where everything was, was helpful and thoughtful throughout. Room was clean and maintained for us. We liked the location up the hill, although the ride up might be a challenge for some. We would definitely choose Beachcomber again!"
