Wonderful hotel ”
What a great location, right near San Marco. Breakfast is wonderful looking over the grand canal. Dominique checked us in and was informative and then personally took us to our room. The room was lovely and had a lovely terrace. I would stay here again and recommend it.
excellence hotel ”
this hotel is my best hotel for this trip, of cause the price is excellence too. location is closes to touristic place. the very best is Breakfast was very good and variety. also easy to access to boat pier
Nice hotel good location”
The hotel is just on the perfect location, facilities are good but to be honest rather old. All things in the room work well but old. And the bad side was a bottle of water cost us euro 12, which was very shocking
Great Location ”
I wouldn’t say this is a five star hotel, having stayed in many other 5* all over the world. Room was a little tacky in places. Breakfast average. The bar downstairs charge one price but if you go up to the roof top bar the drinks go up in price considerably. Ideal position for San Marco square. Items on going back to Venice but would go for another hotel in the same area.
Perfect location on the Grand Canal”
Really special location on the Grand Canal and just 2 mins walk to St Mark's Square. We had a canal view room which I would definitely recommend, really worth the extra money and the little balcony had the sun throughout the day. Lobby area a little dated but this seems typical in Venice. Very friendly staff.
The saying you get what you pay for is true in this case. Paid premium price and received superior service. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a staff who also immediately took care of our luggage. We were escorted to our room upon check-in. The room, furnishing and everything else screamed opulence - there's even a walk-in closet! My only complaint was that for the price we paid, we expected an actual queen or king bed instead of 2 beds put together. Unluckily, it was rainy so breakfast was indoors instead of the terrace.
Luxury, Prime Location, Great Service”
Wow’d, that how I cam summarize our stay here at the Bauer Il Palazzo. The hotel is actually two hotels in one. The rear (street side, Bauer), is the more contemporary side. We stayed at the Grand Canal (front side, I’ll Palazzo) is more traditional. We had a Deluxe Canal view room, which was located on the side of the hotel over the side patio, giving us just a partial Grand Canal view, but overlooking the side canal next to the hotel. The room was decorated in traditional Venetian style, with fine linen upholstery, linen wall covering and antique fine furnishings. The ceiling had a painted cherub mural and a Murano chandelier. The bathroom was covered in Italian marble with a bidet and a jacuzzi tub. The Il Palazzo, has its own front desk with a concierge and its own boat dock for water taxis and gondolas. Il Palazzo guests have access to continental breakfast in the morning at either the canal facing patio or canal facing roof deck on the 7th floor.
We chose this hotel based upon reviews and location. We wanted to be in the mist of the attractions and close by everything else. The hotel is very elegant, the service impeccable and the views spectacular. Yes, if you get a higher end room with a Grand Canal View, it can be expensive, but, they also have a selection of well priced rooms. You can’t go wrong with this hotel and if you select the room with breakfast option, the view from the patio is amazing.
Nice service greatest location”
i reserved a suite, and was given a nice suite with a nice view. but my room has very low to none ( keep cutting off ) internet connection. by the way euro for whole stay ! great deal ! so i asked to moved room... somehow we ended up a gai. in a good suite but again... the aircon motor does not work! we were so tired of moving but this time... they offered us a better...bigger 2 bathroom suite yes 2 bath... amazing !
Exceptional location, beautiful room, amazing views. Extremely happy, upgraded upon arrival. Very lArge rooms for European standards. Strong showers. Good breakfast for everyone. Accommodating staff. Restaurant has wonderful food and views
We absolutely loved staying at the Bauer. The breakfast that came with our room was excellent. The concierge desk made arrangements for a private guide for us who was knowledgeable about every aspect of the city. We spent 4 hours with him and were very happy to pay the extra expense of having a private guide since we had limited time available before leaving on our cruise.
Mini break ”
Great location staff are excellent. Rooms very clean . Definitely recommend
Great location very close to piazza San Marco.”
Breakfast or lunch by Canal grande is a very nice way to see Venice and the hotel.
Three Nights in Venice”
The only place to stay if you want to be dropped off by speedboat from the airport at the door - great experience. The hotel is well decorated with very comfortable rooms, there is a spa available via a short trip in the hotels water taxis though on this occasion we did not visit. Breakfast buffet very good and you can eat on the terrace (spectacular views) if the weather is fine. The outside bar is also great for views though drinks are what you might expect for a 5 star hotel. I would also recommend a visit to the 7th floor as there is also a rooftop terrace with some of the best views in Venice - I got the feeling the hotel was not exploiting this area as much as they could as I felt very few people knew of its existence.

Agoda rocks first at all, I have to move the reservation day as I have made a mistake and they help me move it with no charge for the day I needed! n arrival they didn't have this update but gave us a room and ask us to get a copy of the change. Called Agoda in Italy and this gentleman send me the reservation and to the hotel immediately! The hotel is a dream, the location cannot be better and the facility across with the never hotel and spa plus gardens is beautiful! The staff was amazing, will be back for sure and the price at Agoda rocks!

Absolutely stunning! The breakfast and food were amazing, the staff very classy, professional and helpful! I would not stay anywhere else in Venice after having stayed at Baur Palazzo! A treasure and luxury, indeed!
wonderful location excellent service beautiful suit This is the 4th visit to venice have staid in the centurion danieli and regina all quality 5 star hotels but the Bauer Palazzo just edged them all SUPERB
Excellent hotel. Reception and concierge are very professional. Food and wine are very good. Cafeteria for lunch with international staff needs to know Italian hospitality. Their responses are not to the questions and not careful in service. I highly recommend and definitely will be there again.
One of the great hotel in Venice. Very accommodating staff. Did not get suite as I purchased but a room with view of Grand Canal and lovely. View in Venice is more prized than room size. Breakfast was average.
Great location, some communication problems ”
Pro: location Mixed: The rooms with the Canal View seem to get better amenities. Con: Communication could’ve been better with their staff. There were a couple of times we should’ve double checked our request.
