Wonderful mountain retreat”

Great place, friendly staff, wonderful room. Village was quaint and lovely, locals very nice, friendly, and helpful. During our stay heavy snow caused loss of electricity, but as every meal was cooked over an open fire, it didn't really matter ☺. Going down to Marrakesh, our taxi got stuck in deep snow, and even though 10 men gave it their best shot for nearly an hour, nothing worked. Them our driver borrowed a Toyota 4x4 from a friend, and off we went. All in all, wonderful days, incredible nature, great walks, decent food, very nice people all around. I'd recommend it anytime.

Everything I expected and more”

Couldn't have been better, everything was taken care of. I'm pretty sure any request would have been met with a solution as the staff were totally focussed on making their guests as happy as possible. The rooms are all great, however for our final night (when it was available) we were given a free upgrade as a result of it being our honeymoon. And all I can say is I wish I'd paid to have that room the whole time. Our original room was very good and a high standard but the superior rooms on the top floor have floor to ceiling wall to wall windows of the most stunning view up the mountains and the under floor heating and free sodas from the minibar are nice extra touches too. They arranged a guide for us for trekking and their meals whilst not gourmet were very hearty home cooked meals from which we were never left hungry. Breakfast is huge and well done. I literally find it hard to think of a negative here. (ONe tip though is if you want spa/hammam treatments, go up to the Kasbah - their sister hotel, it's better equipped on that front up there although you will have of course to pay extra for that -but they will arrange it for you.
