Very Good Hotel”

I was very pleased with the facility but not the location. The taxi drivers had a hard time finding it and I could not get to even local shopping without a taxi. The location is probably safe but there is nothing around to cause you to leave the facility.

good value for money”

situated in a posh area in sandton, the hotel is quiet and provides good rest. the room was comfortable, although the bathroom got wet as the screen meant to block water was not sufficient. wifi works in certain areas but was not strong in the room. toiletries provided were decent for use but certainly not luxurious. breakfast was fantastic, despite the spread not being too wide, whatever was available was amazing, especially the eggs. the best part of the hotel was the free shuttle service within a 5km radius, gets you to sandton city and back. super thoughtful and convenient. overall, for the price i paid, i thought it was excellent value for money. would recommend it if you're looking for a good deal.

Great place to stay when in Sandton”

My friends and I have decided to stay at Faircity Falstaff hotel during our time in Johannesburg. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, the overall vibe of the place was pleasant and relaxing and I believe the hotel offers a great value for your money. We were leaving the place with a sad feeling and definitely will be coming back again!

The Falstaff is a gem! ”

The Falstaff is a cosy boutique hotel. The staff are all amazing and very helpful and friendly. It is centrally located in Morningside and offers free shuttle service within a 5klm radius. Rates include a full on buffet breakfast with a wide selection to choose from. The rooms are comfortable with all the amenities.

Really nice hotel”

This is an excellent boutique hotel that has a very pleasant ambience both outside (in the quadrangle) as well as within the room. Staff are friendly and helpful and the place is in a good neighbourhood. The breakfast spread is pretty good, and its nice that a restaurant is available on premise. They offer free shuttle service within the Sandton area, and respond to your call for pick up quite well, as long as the shuttle is available nearby. Overall, its excellent value for your money, and you will be more than satisfied.

What a surprisingly excellent hotel ”

What a surprise! I chose this hotel above one closer to where I wanted to be because of the photo of the room. It was a risk I took as the photos are always a little photoshopped, but the room in the other hotel did not look as nice. To my surprise the room was excellent. I have stayed in other hotels supposed to be better hotels (I will not name names) with rooms far worse. The bathroom has been totally done over and is beautiful. The staff are most helpful and the food is very good. I wish I booked an extra day just to enjoy this little hotel.

Nice hotel in rich area, but far from city”

Staff are really nice and helpful, at receptionist and dining room, bar etc. Totally very helpful/good. If they located in area with easy public transportation, then it will be nicer. Although they provide shuttle for 5km

Budget Getaway”

The staff were very pleasant, and helpful (except one at breakfast the first morning). Food was not the best; bar service was very good. Bed was amazing, so comfortable. Chocolates and biscuits in the room made it even better. Shower door leaked water onto the floor and the bathtub had a hair in it when we arrived. Surroundings were beautiful and the location was perfect for what we wanted. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting a weekend "away" in the city.

One Night Stop Over”

We really enjoyed our stay although it was rushed. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived and we were charged differently from what we were told over the phone. Staff were friendly and did their best to be helpful. All in all, a decent stay

Great stay at the Faircity Falstaff Hotel”

We had a wonderful stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer. We were a small group of six travelers coming from a large conference, and staying at the Faircity Falstaff just one night in between the conference and various other activities outside of Jo'burg. The staff was great, accommodating our need for an early check-in, helping us to get transport to various shopping and museum activities, etc. The food was good, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the outdoor patio area was very nice and relaxing. I think my whole group would agree that it was excellent value for the money, and a very nice stopover.

Value for money”

We are business traveller and first time in Joburg, stay in this hotel for 11nights. Overall room is very clean and comfortable but bed a little bit sagging. Breakfast almost everyday the same, bread, egg, sausages, mushroom, tomato. Restaurant and bar staff are very friendly and very good service. Beware for those business traveler, we experienced for rushing time for an important appointment, but unfortunately the shuttle are busy and been waiting for more than 40 minutes that cause us late for an important meeting. Taxi is expensive in Gauteng even from hotel to Gautrain station. Lastly, one of the lady receptionist are not so friendly and helpful, we actually two person stay in the room but when we booked the room is included breakfast, but system and Agoda confirmation only shown 1 person. maximum occupancy is for 2, but the receptionist unlikely to help us to amend in the booking and not acceptable unless Agoda change the booking info immediately.

Brief and awesome breakfast!”

Friendly, helpful staff able to book tours for us which is convenient. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety. Nelson Mandela square was not far and they have a free shuttle however this was not always available for us so had to pay for a taxi. Our main reason to go to South Africa was to visit Kruger national park.

Nice stay,value for the money”

Convenient and quiet hotel in the heart of Sandton”

Found the check-in and out facilities quick, the room was spacious and pristine. Very convenient location and the staff provided an quick breakfast-on-the go - perfect for an early morning start. The room service was fast and excellent.

NICE BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN SANDTON”

This is a very nice and friendly boutique hotel in Sandton nearby JB. Only 30-40 rooms .it is a very peacful and quiet environ, all the facilities needed are there: good french restaurant, wifi, swimming pool, fitness center, shuttle. Staff is friendly and helful.

Great location, friendly service but some issues”

Hotel is in a great location. The staff is friendly and professional. However, the internet was down for 24 hours and no temporary solution was offered. I had to go elsewhere to use my laptop which was inconvenient. Otherwise my shower didn't work too well but that was taken care of rather quickly.

Nice place, very comfortable room”

I actually walked from Sandton Gautrain Station to the hotel, it took me about 45 min, but I don't recommend it. Make arrangements for the hotel shuttle to pick you up or take a taxi. The hotel is quiet, pretty and comfortable. (Deluxe Rooms) The only thing I didn't like is that I had some business partners come looking for me and they were turned away, because they couldn't find my name or last name at the reception. Although I use my Mandarin name and my Spanish name, both have in common my Last Name, but that was not checked properly and they were sent to check at the sister hotel somewhere up the road. The meeting had to be re-scheduled for the following day, but it did cause me some trouble, which could have been avoided.

Centrally located, comfortable rooms”

The parking is at the back of the hotel which is a bit inconvenient to carry luggage all the way back to reception. There is o back entrance. Reception was fantastic. Booking was easy and room allocation was fast. Room was clean, neat and very comfortable. Great value for money. The restaurant menu was far too extravagant and not quite suitable for a south African pallet. Also very pricy and definitely felt like a ripoff. The menu should be more equipped for locals and also a bit more budget conscious. I will definitely recommend the hotel but not the restaurant. Very disappointing meal. bland and tasteless. Dessert was chocolate mousse which was probably way past the sell by date and at R35 a portion I felt rather ripped off.
