A quirky hotel but we love it.”
We love The Grand China and whenever we’re in Bangkok this is where we stay .Having said that the rooms are a bit scruffy especially the bathrooms which could do with a makeover and often lights or the safe don’t work. But who cares ? The staff are lovely and soon sort out any problems. The location is brilliant being in the midst of all the yummy eateries and it’s just a short walk to the river where you can pick up a river boat Despite it’s location ask for a room on a higher floor and you can be assured noise won’t be a bother..

Centrally located but old”
The 360 degree rotating restaurant above was the highlight of this hotel. Also the fact that it has a Starbucks downstairs and very centrally located. I overheard someone booking through the front desk at a much cheaper price than Agoda so will call in advance first.

Family with young children”
Family consist of 2 young children (age 8 and 5) and 3 adults. Me, my wife, mum-in law and daughters have no complaint about this hotel. Indeed, this is the our second time check into this hotel, the first time was back in 2013. We book a family room which consists of 1 queen size bed + 2 single beds. The room have 2 toilets and 2 TV and 2...., all 2 set of amenities, so no need to fight. We could have gotten 2 rooms with connecting door and pay lesser, but that always subjected to rooms availability. We feel that we could not risk it and therefore straight go for this type of room. The only drawback was unstable and poor reception of WIFI signal due to room located at the corner of the building. They should add a WIFI booster to improve it.

The room was supposed to be superior; however, it was far from superior, I would say it was below a stand room. The bathroom was dirty and needed cleaning, the grout between tiles were black in quite a few places.

Simply love the family room. It is big and accommodate all the 4 of us in, with 1 double bed and 2 twin beds, 2 sets of TV and 2 bathrooms.

From Grand princess change to Grand China. I have been staying this hotel several times. I love the place because I love the food in Thailand b grand China is the best place where u can find so many restaurants with 5-10 minutes. But I realised this time the hotel was not as crowded as before , perhaps there are too many new hotels in pratunam, where all facilities are now n modern. Grand China might need to do some renovations to attract more customers.

Shower bath room”
Shower water flow very slow. My last stay room @1706. Informed counter about the shower tap level handle came out and is not working properly.maintianence came checked and say is like that and never do anything. Maxing is very frastragting during showering.

finding family accommodation in Bangkok.”
The only positive thing about the hotel was it's location central to where we wanted to be, and that it provided family rooms to accommodate 7 adults and a child in two rooms. I found the staff less than engaging if not bordering on dismissive especially when dining. Rooms were comfortable but very basic there was no character about them. Breakfast provided little choice and it seemed an effort if you wanted something at the egg station. Most items were not available by 09:00. If you take a car then parking is challenging as the car park is used by a shopping mall as well. The Hotel served it's purpose but would definitely not rush back.

Booked 2 rooms, 1 room is cold the other is not cold. The carpet is old and dirty. The door lock need to change. You have to slam it very hard then it will close.

I actually booked two rooms and both had issues with internet which took the second day to resolve and the tv didn't work in one of the rooms ......if you then add that the safe didn't function properly despite two visits I think it is fair to say the facilities are in need of an update

Don't stay long”
Breakfast not suitable for westerners, tried to teach the cook how to fry an egg properly, but gave up, he got bored trying to cook an egg so the whites weren't runny. Wifi really bad. Not a good area to stay, sidewalks cluttered day and night, you have to walk on the busy road.

Location is good. Staff is polite with good service. However, Air conditioner wasn't working normally. It's very noisy and has smoking smell. Wi-go has connection problem. We have to keep trying and yet unable to connect most of the time.

We stayed in this hotel just for three nights between our trip to Laos and then further to Krabi. Nice room, clean and well equipped. Fantastic view through the edge-to-edge window. And the China Town downstairs. Staff is attentive and polite.

Most hotel staff in Thailand are courteous and helpful and the ones in this hotel are no exception. Location is great, right in front of the hotel is the main street with all the street food. The rooms are a little old and probably should have a makeover soon. The view of the city is great. The hotel is tall and towers over most of the surrounding building. ( stayed there twice and had good rooms) Cleanliness can be better but still alright. Is it value for price? hmmm yeah for a decent hotel in Yaowarat road.

Loved my stay in the hotel, which was located close to the main district but not close enough that it'd be too noisy. The room was spacious and clean and the staff amazing! I'll definitely book it again if I were to return.

If you're in Bangjok for street food or market shopping with close access to the river, the the Grand China hotel is perfect. The buffet breakfast was excellent, the staff helpful and the toon spacious. Only downside was that the wifi kept dropping out or was very slow and inf you're wanting to do laps in the pool it's s not small though the view from there is wxcellent!

Totally excellent hotel, everything you need”
I've stayed here many times over the past few years, and it's always excellent. After their recentish re-vamp (new hotel front with Starbucks and bar/restaurant) It's got all you need. Location is one of the best - shopping across the road, Chinatown food and Tesco 2 minutes walk the other side. A few bizarre features: there's a mini mart in the garage sublevel (but no signs to say it's there!), and also a food court and some shops on the 5th floor (if you can find the 5th floor - it's not accessible from most lifts). Again, NO signs mention it's existence.

Great place to reach main street of Yawarat to where you can walk by 5 minutes. Plus there is world most famous coffee shop at the first floor in this building. The pool is much smaller than I expected, but still scenery from top floor was brilliant. What I was disappointment was that staff did nothing but informing of just the place where we can buy medicine when my wife felt sick. All in all. it's okay.
