Great Location, Good Food and Big Room”
Excellent location next to tube station, big room to accommodate a family of 4. Great buffet breakfast spread. However, housekeeping is lacking. Had issues with shower, tv and safe box and had to repeatedly call housekeeping to do the needful. Some were not attended till we left. The carpets in corridor are worn out and need changing.
Early check in ”
Stayed at Hilton London Metropole. The Hotel is clean and good location. Halal restaurants and cafes nearby. Closer to Paddington station and Heathrow Express. Our flight was early and we are able to check in to our rooms straightaway without extra charges.
The Hotel is ancient and that is ok if the rooms had been looked after. We had to race down after check in and demand better rooms - turns out one wing (of the three) is undergoing renovations and these rooms were much cleaner but smaller in size. We sacrificed the size for cleanliness (even though we had paid for the larger sized rooms). The food quality and variety at breakfast was average with lines extending down the hallway. The wait for the lift is nearly 5mins in average - although one fellow guest spoke of a harrowing 40min wait. The Indian / Pakistani concierge was downright rude and sexist. The only friendly and polite staff was Alexandre (front desk) and the staff at the Bar. The In room dining food is below average and for London, the quality of tea served was very poor and disappointing! Not worth the price and a true let down for a Hilton brand...
Geriau nei vidutiniškai”
I would not stay at this hotel again until the rooms have been refurnished
Maintenance from 9AM-4PM”
Am a Hilton Honor member, and while I still prefer Hilton chain, but this time was not satisfactory, specially that they are running maintenance from 9AM, so expect a drilling machine working actively next door, and the 'magic button' is not helping because this maintenance is a must. The question is: why didn't you tell me upon my check-in!!
we had a lovely room , unfortunately we had noisy neighbours and were moved after making staff aware..we moved to a bigger room. The staff were professional and accomadating .. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting London.
The Exective Lounge is too small. Quite a few times, it was too full and people were standing around to eat or drink. There were times when it was so crowded and many people were standing and waiting for tables, some small children were crowding the bar area, running around with soft drink bottles in hands or occupying seats & tables well beyond their allowed time of 5pm. The lounge staff didn’t do anything about it, and it was quite unpleasant. Food quality and variety could be improved.
Tired rooms staff to busy. ”
Breakfast cock up. Sent to alternative breakfast room at 10am as no queue but this closed at 10am! Room stank of stale smoke despite being on non smoking floor. Location good next YouTube station.
Lots of drawbacks”
Starting from check-in, it was good and they provided me as requested with connecting rooms. However, being inside the room, following disadvantages: No complementary water provided; however the receptionist said there will be free water but you need to request them from the room service; however, the room service explained the water is chargable and it costs 10 Bound per bottle. The Bed has sounds whenever you move your body on it; i didnt pleasant sleep during my full stay. The A/C was not cooling. The receptionist staff are not handling the customers requests properly. The staff need to improve they customer service skills.
Just right outside is the Edgware Road Underground Station and a few blocks away from Paddington Station. A lot of restaurants along Edgware Road and also some supermarkets. Most staff were very helpful. Just wish the hotel gave at least drinking water at your arrival just as other nice hotels do. But no issues as it didn't bother our stay.
great value overall”
The Hotel is at a great location, easy to access from the airport (Heathrow) and is a great place to stay in if you ever need to go to Kings cross (straight tube - 15 mins). Awesome breakfast but make sure you get there early and prepare enough time, We went when it was just opening (6.30am) and there were already queues from different tour groups. If you get a room in the west wing like we did, the walk around the hotel can be a chore for older family members, so if possible ask for a room in the east wing. Lots of different food options for everyone at a great price, just look around the corners (halal food, cafes, bakeries, Fast foods such as mcdonalds or pret a manger, m&s food etc). Would come back to this hotel!
This hotel is located across the road from Edgware Tube station and bus stops.Checking in and out was fast. The room size was good for London standard. The breakfast spread was excellent with halal food section. The only minus point was the wifi access was not free.
The hotel is very easy to access. The tube just around the corner. Mark and Spencer just across the street. It was really nice. The room was big. We had family room with two queen size bed and one sofa bed. The breakfast also good.
Excellent Location and Friendly Staffs”
The hotel was very nice with good location, very friendly staffs and room was big enough to accommodate 4 people, the whole family. Room was also very clean and tidy. But we were not informed about credit card being registered even to access the small fridge in the room. And wifi was very expensive. So I had to rely on the mobile phone to check emails... But in overall, it was a nice stay and our family enjoyed staying in this hotel will come again should we visit London again.
very good but when we asked for the water, the recieption make some confusion to us, since they said that we call dial 0 to ask for water but when we called 0 they said we have to go down and pay for deposit first.
Great Location but small rooms ”
Stayed for for two nights when it was snowing in london. The staff was a mixture of nationality which is GREAT. Professional and Fast Check in....... Rooms a bit small for a twin sharing room but it was worth it for the money we paid. Very close to the underground less that three minutes walk By underground it was close to all the major attraction, approximately 15 minutes walk to Oxford Street...
Great Location at an affordable price”
Loved every single aspect of the hotel. From its location to the size of the room, there's nothing much to criticize really. The bathroom was perfect for a couple and the bed was extra comfy. Room service however could be improved in terms of the quality of the food. Price of the hotel is also very affordable as compared to other hotels under the same brand.
A Very Pleasant Stay”
This was my first visit to The London Metropole Hilton, and I was not disappointed , a free upgrade to the top floor helped of course , and great view too !, wonderful cosy bed also.. I arrived very early (9am) but this was not a problem , and the helpful lady in reception , took care of everything with a minimum of fuss. Like the Edgware Rd location , barely a minute walk across the road to the Tube. Liked the feel of the Hotel , that exciting buzz , of staying somewhere , thats not your average hotel. The Sports Bar was great for watching the Saturday lunchtime Football in style too !! I will return
OLD ROOMS (NOT worth the PRICE)”
We booked their normal rooms for 4nights, but after checking in for a few hours the room was extremely old and not well maintained. It was summer season and the AC broke down in our room after a few hours of use and the staff sent mechanics to fix it but did not work so we have to open our windows throughout the night. Service was slow and inefficient. I recommend booking somewhere else the price you pay is not worth it. HILTON does not mean 4star grade service and accommodation. We upgraded to the KING Superior Room and it was much better, but at what cost? Dont get me wrong i've stayed HILTON across different continents and without a doubt HILTONS in Nagoya, Dubai etc are great. But not this one.
From one mistake to the next”
1 hour to check in only to have to settle for the 3rd room offered. First room 12 th floor window smashed. Second room door didn’t work. 3rd room ok. Then breakfast we had been missed off list so had to return to front desk 20 minuet wait. Returned late 10.30 so went to restaurant ordered 3 meals waited 45 mins no food they had forgotten us. So we just left and went to our room. Otherwise a very tiring stay not refreshing.
