Stay here!! It is awesome.”
The staff is 100% friendly and helpful. Don't miss visits to the cozy bar. The breakfast is plentiful and outstanding. I have been all over the world, and this is one of the best hotels I have visited.
Worth to stay here .”
I must say one of the best hotels in Venice . IT HAS CANAL VIEW , PERFECT BREAKFAST , Nice and clean rooms , near to main locations like Rialto and San Marco , can reach these location within 5-10mints by walk , close to restarunts . Good for couples as it's so peaceful if you sit at terrace .
A wonderful place to stay”
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in a quiet location, away from the crowds and yet on the Grand Canal and not that far from the Rialto Bridge! Sitting on the terrace overlooking the Canal was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was great!!! Lots of choices. I'd definitely stay here again!!
No elevator! Be prepared to climb stairs with luggage in tow. Some of the fixtures were broken. ”
Lots of walking involved not handicapped friendly at all.
Everything we could have wanted for family stay”
Classical hotel in the Grand Canal with balcony for drinks and breakfast very good location for Piazza San Marco, train station and airport river bus. Clean and friendly staff. Stayed in two bedroom suite with children 11&12 for two nights.
This is a very special hotel. it will fullfill all your hopes and expectations. i promise.
GREAT HOTEL GREAT VIEWS GREAT HELPFUL STAFF”
Very good hotel, very great views from windows, right on canal, very helpful staff. Recommend highly for staying Grazie mille
Great place old fashioned great brekky loved it”
Pros: location, view, old fashioned style beautiful. Cons: hard to find as anything in Venice, staff some friendly but some arrogant, some facilities run down
Lovely hotel in less busy area. ”
Our room, 109, overlooked the street and the entrance courtyard but was surprisingly quiet. In fact the only noise I heard was someone in the room above. All very comfortable. A light bulb in the bathroom wasn’t working and also a desk lamp light was faulty. The breakfast was OK but not great. Quite cheap ingredients, unripe fruits, soggy croissants. The breakfast room is lovely though, and opens onto a balcony over the Grand Canal. Staff very friendly.
This was our second time staying here. Location just 5mins from Rialto bridge. Arrive by water taxi - hotel has jetty on grand canal - no worries about pulling cases on cobbles or over bridges ! Lots of inexpensive places to eat close by. Breakfast room small but food good and coffee great ! We had a triple room which was spacious and clean. Beds comfy and good air conditioning. Would definitely stay again.
A "Hidden" Gem”
It did take me a while to find my way back to the hotel and I never managed to take the same route to or from the Rialto! Which was good as I saw lots of Venice. Just a word of warning, the hotel is a "proper" ancient Venice villa, so there are lots of steps inside (no lift). Rooms good and well air conditioned (very welcome), staff great and breakfast civilised. What more could anyone want in the most beautiful city in the world?
Lovely hotel overlooking Grand Canal, 5 minutes from the Water bus stop. We used a GPS to find it, although it is signposted. You need to access around the narrow streets. If you can, get a room overlooking the canal as some standard room look over the alleys. Staff all very friendly and there is a small bar area. Breakfast is buffet style set in a wonderful room. Plenty of choice, mainly continental but there was bacon, scrambled eggs and sausages. We had a kettle and coffee in the superior room but there isn't any facilities in the standard rooms which would be a nice touch. All in all a wonderful stay, central to everything. We didn't get a water bus pass as we walked everywhere. Would recommend and would come back
Lovely hotel with friendly staff”
I can not fault the hotel except as with many things it is a little difficult to find at first. The easiest way to get there is by the airport water bus (look for the signs at the airport). The hotel is realy lovely traditional Italian style . All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. In all I had a great time and never felt uncomfortable being a solo traveler.
Historic Hotel Which Is Five Minutes Walk From San Stae Ferry Terminal”
The hotel is a five minutes walk from the San Stae terminal via Alilaguna airport or Vaporetto water buses. Classic 14th century building owned. Great interiors. Superior service. Very strong wifi. They even upgraded my room during the first night. Awesome buffet breakfast enough to fill your day. I will be staying here again next time I will return to Venice!
Best November/December deal in Venice.”
Spent one night here. Wish it had lasted forever.
Near San Stae Vaporetto Stop, good hotel”
Very friendly staff, beautful hotel with old-world decor. Good breakfast included. They let me check in a couple hours early which I was not expecting, I was willing to just check my bags since my flight got into Venice mid morning so that was nice of them. I only wish the weather was better (it rained most of the time I was there) so that I could have enjoyed their terrace facing the grand canal more. Location is close enough to attractions (10-15 min walk) but far away enough that it did not seem full of tourists like the San Marco or Rialto area is. Quiet as well and conveniently close to San Stae vaporetto stop.
Worth the 'luxury' upgrade!”
Top (3rd) floor overlooking the Grand Canal...worth the 'luxury' upgrade! Porter will take your luggage to the room. A bit of a 'maze' locating the place, but hey, this is Venice, enjoy the journey and the destination! Tasty buffet breakfast!
Even for a solo room it was very nice. Large bathroom. Helpful staff when I lost my credit card. Best of it all was the view of the canal from the water level "balcony".
Hotel San Cassiano was everything we could've asked for. They had free wifi, free breakfast and the staff was very nice; especially Max. They even provided a converter so we could charge our phones for the entire stay. Only negative, the hotel is a bit hard to find. However you can take the water bus for airport Marco Polo round trip for 27 euros. The ride is about 50 mins long and about 5mins walk from the San Stae stop
A reasonable priced hotel right on the grand canal. Room was tiny with a small single bed and bathroom small aswell, but for 1 night was manageable. Breakfast a bit limited. Overall was decent hotel and staff were friendly.
