Tired rooms but very nice hotel”
The hotel and grounds were fantastic. The sunset on Manila Bay was gorgeous. The hotel breakfast was AMAZING - definitely worth having, despite the cost, although we couldn't eat our moneys worth. The rooms are very tired and are in need of a face-lift but the bed was comfy and that's all we needed. The hotel is a great location for a quick trip to the airport but it is a bit out of the way of the other areas in Manila ie Makati. Having said that, we walked to Intramurous in the day and it was fine, and it isn't too far from Rizal Park. This hotel is perfect for those who want to enjoy Manila and return to a nice pool in the afternoon after a day of walking and exploring. There are plenty of Chinese and seafood restaurants 30 minutes walk from the hotel.

Perfect one night stay with a great view”
A quite comfort room made me lazy to wake up in a early morning. Fast in check in and out. Friendly staffs. Fantastic swimming pool with a very beatiful view of Manila Bay. Nice to relax. Recommended! Five thumbs up!

Awesome customer service ”
The facilities was awesome, the kids love the pools, customer service was excellent, we transferred rooms and accidentally left a few items behind, one phone call at the reception, and they were able to retrieve back the items for us, and the concierge was so thoughtful, they gave us extra bottle of water before we left. However, we found the interior decor and furnitures a little outdated and the fixtures a bit loose (tap water) but other than that our stay was pleasant,we will definitely return and recommend it to our family and friends.

we booked a luxury king room and the room was a lit! The pool is nothing short of amazing, there’s free gelato ice cream in the lobby which is great because it was sooo from outside. Staff are amazing too, the receptionist. We will definitely be back and will definitely stay longer!

We availed the Club Room and the request for a corner, pool view room has been granted. Pros - Food is excellent - Staff were very polite & courteous - very comfortable and spacious room - Le Spa is one of the best spa i've tried. will surely go back for the food and spa. Cons: - hallway quite dusty (maybe because it's summer) - room attendants (though they are very nice) are quite noisy and you can sometime hear them from your room - shower drainage is clogged (room 650)

Beds are old, not as sturdy as it should be. Shower head has molds as it is very old and the holder of shower head does not stay in its position. Really disappointed that we were placed in this room.

Insects inside the room”
Sofitel is indeed one of the best hotels innManila and their pool and favilies were amazing. We stayed at room 333 last Friday March 30, 2018, but the downside was we woke up having a lot of insect bites specially my two kids. My son's eyes were swollen, at first we thought that it was mosquito bite and the staff accompanied us to the clinic. They gave ointment to help ease the itchiness. But after checking out and we reach home the bites get worst and it get more swollen. My sister in law who is a doctor said that it was not mosquito bite and maybe some other insect. We dont know what kind of insect iit is. I already emailed the hotel and no response from our complain and i sent them the photos. We were disappointed because of that.

Great place to watch the Pyrotechnic display”
We booked at Sofitel to watch the Pyrolympics at MOA. We paid extra for a Bayview room, and was given a poolside view! They obliged us when we asked to change rooms for a view of MOA but did not refund the bayview guarantee fee. We loved the views of both. The room is as expected of a luxuru hotel. Great bed, a picturesque balcony, hot showers... strange though that there was no bidet in the room toilets but the common toilets downstairs have them. We asked for a pitcher of water as their provided bottled water was tiny. There was also a charge for such a request. They offered to give more bottles water instead. Appreciated, but felt like a huge step backward with regard to their so-called environmental efforts (they supposedly contribute tobtree planting). We've been to 2 resorts/hotels just recently that provided a big bottle of water in either Kleen Kanteens or a glass bottle. I hope big chains, such as Sofitel, will follow suit and make greater strides to reduce their environmental

Not the 5-star property one would expect ”
I waited more than 45 minutes for my suitcase. During that time, I received two calls welcoming me to the hotel. The second caller had no idea I already received the same call. After 45 minutes, I went to the lobby to retrieve my suitcase and found that no one tended to my luggage tag. They offered to deliver it, but I insisted on taking it. They couldn’t locate my suitcase for a while, and during that time several bell staff went to the storage room, but no one offered any explanation. Only when I asked to speak to a manager in charge, my suitcase appeared. The housekeeping was another story. I found that there was no shampoo (two shower gel bottles were found) in the shower when I was in the shower and found no refill that evening. A front desk staff sent me an email after 10 pm, telling me that he was trying to call me during the day. The letter for my room was also left after I went to my room at 9 pm. I was disappointed with the level of service and competency of staff.

Place was nice but the reception is disappointing”
Booked 3 rooms for my family 2weeks prior to our stay and requested that the rooms are adjacent to each other / 1 room is for honeymoon. I received responses saying this is noted, they will try their best to meet my request and I was happy with that. When we got to the hotel, I asked if the rooms are adjacent, apparently, they missed my request and only 2 rooms are adjacent, the 3rd one would be one room away BUT if I wait for an hour or 2, the room next to first 2 will be available and that they will groom it as per my request. 2 hours after, one staff came to one of our rooms and told me that the 3rd room is prepped...but it was not adjacent to the other 2 (because the guest extended). which doesnt make any sense since we wait 2hours for that. they should've just told us earlier. Also, no room was prepped for honeymoon eventhough it was offered(there was an option to prep the room that way) prior to check-out.

Great vacation stay at Sofitel. Swimming pool and bay view is excellent for kids and adult. Food is great. Though everything is very pricey. Too far from convenient stores and malls so needs to take taxi. Not recommended for budget concerned people. But if you need a 5 star experience, then this is the right place.

Beautiful resort and facilities, very close to the airport, very nice view of the Manila Bay, highly recommended for travelers with kids but be mindful that dining services is very slow and quite frustrating most of the times. Although the dining staff are all very nice and polite, they lack the presence of mind, food takes about 15 to 30 minutes or longer to be served and in most cases they were served cold! I talked to one of the dining crew and was told that they only have one kitchen so in particular if you are outside by the pool area dining, foods are served very late because the kitchen is inside. On top of that I think they are under staffed atleast the dining crew at the pool area because the we've dined inside at the Spiral Café and have seen a group of two or three dining crew chatting oblivious of the fact that we are needing their assistance and had been raising our hands to call their attention. Although the food is good but when served cold, it becomes a lousy!

we used to come here before , I was dismayed when I saw the hallway to the room & the room itself. It smelled of molds, old & wet wood. It was really awful. Sadly, Sofitel is now only good for taking pictures at the Spiral & the Hotel entrance. Even the famous pool isn’t well maintained, part of it was closed- on a weekend! It needs a total overhaul.

Most enjoyable stay.”
The Sofitel is a 5 star hotel and delivers to that standard. Not much immediately around the hotel. You require transport. They run a shuttle to the mall, which helps, but that meant I had to spend 4 hours at the Mall of Asia. My wife liked it but it was3 hours to long for me. At the hotel, the staff were excellent, the food great. I would stay there again.

Magnificent Hotel with Great People”
This hotel is truly magnificent! Its prime location, stylish design of the pool, elegance of the newly renovated suite room and balcony that offers the stunning view of the Manila bay. The food either at Spiral or Club Mellissime is great. One of the best hotels in Metro Manila. Many thanks to Ms. Ella Navarro (Assistant Manager), Nikka and Morrise for their hospitality during the entire duration of our stay (upgrade of the room, late check out and assistance until check out). Great people makes this hotel magnificent. Bonjour Mabuhay!

We regret to note that you don't see the hotel as the perfect destination for your family and to hear about the inconvenience caused by the traffic in the area, which we do not have control of. For the smell of the pool and Manila Bay, this has been duly noted and forwarded to the concerned departments. Worth staying for family bonding”
The hotel was grand but i think some maintenance of the rooms should be done like replacing the carpet and the sliding locks that are broken. Also might be a bit comforting if toilets will have bidet. ;))

Facilities are all so clean. The staff has the best customer service, very accommodating and attentive to the needs. The approach is very personal. We were given an upgrade of the room with no charge which allow us to enjoy and relax more. Outside of the hotel is intagramable. The swimming pool is very nice. My kids enjoyed it. But we were placed inside Boracay room during breakfast instead of the Spiral resto area since it was filled-out (according to the staff) but we saw some vacant areas still but the area was not given not us despite of my request.

A bit on the expensive side but the amenities and accommodations are well worth it. The wide variety of food at Spiral are also something to look forward to.

Excellent service. Very helpful staff. Good-sized room. Top rate amenities. Comfortable bed. Decent shower. Oversized fluffy towels. Delicious dinner. Beautiful view from the pool. Relaxing pool area. Elegant Christmas decors. Easy check-in and check-out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
