We arrived to a warm friendly welcome by Alma. The accommodation was spacious luxurious and all the attention to detail made our stay very special. The breakfast choice and presentation was first class. Alma was very friendly, more than helpful and nothing was too much trouble we felt at home from the minute we arrived. A Real GEM”

Four of us stayed there for 3 nights on our way back to UK. The location is ideal if you do not mind 20-30 minutes from Cape Town, and the Hosts are truly superb. Alma greeted us like family members, and could not be more helpful. The place was presented in immaculate condition, and her dining recommendations proved to be the highlight for us! She even made the reservations for us. Every morning, she sent us out playing Golf with her legendary breakfasts, where nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely visit again.

Villa Afrique”

Great stay, just a little too short. Shower in Room 2 could do with a new shower head, whilst this is designed to save water it delivers a VERY sub-optimal shower experience. Difficult to wash soap off ones self too.

Alma and Dion ensured my stay at Villa Afrique was delightful with nothing being too much trouble. Great location, beautiful room and fantastic breakfast made my stay very pleasurable. A real home from home!

We didn't even checked in”

Unfortunately the photos on the internet were very misleading, opposite the Villa Afrique was fish a fish factory and the noise and smell were unpleasant. We didn't checked in and offered half of the price, but the owner charged us the full four nights. Not a happy start in Cape town, but we didn't regret. Back in Camps Bay we found a great appartment with ocean view and had a good time.

we had a wonderful weekend staying at villa afrique, alma and deon are wonderful hosts and the breakfast they serve is top class. we are already planning our ext stay at villa afrique

Not clear this was actually a bed and breakfast”

We are generally not fans of a B & B, preferring a hotel, serviced apartment or self-contained villa etc. However, that said, this was a lovely property, with very nice hosts. The level of security was a shock to us, being Australian, but we are assured by South African friends that this is both necessary and normal in Cape Town. Good location, close to restaurants and Table Mountain, but some distance from Cape Town itself.

Gorgeous hotel, rooms and people”

From the moment I walked in to the day I left, the family run hotel was like home. Everything I needed was catered for and the rooms and lobby area spick and span and soft and comfy. Hout Bay was a great area to explore and close to the tourist bus for day trips. The meals were top notch since the owner is a nutritionist and there was a lot of careful planning as to presentation. Too bad I couldn't stay longer, it was a very wonderful experiance.

Ein kleines Hotel mit individueller Betreuung wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Tolles Zimmer, der nachtservice schaltet bei kühlem Wetter die bettheizung ein! Ein Frühstück wie es die Queen selbst bestimmt nicht besser bekommt. Die Lage ist gut, Parken ein bisschen eng, aber es klappt. Alles liebevoll eingerichtet, der Service mit Hang zum Gedankenlesen. Besser geht es nicht!
