Agoda directed me to this hotel and it is great. Has clean and well equipped kitchenette, views all around, convenience store next door, and is in a perfect location for transportation, walking to beach, and walking through Waikiki.

This was an amazing hotel. It was our first time in Hawaii, and Luana was the second hotel we stayed at on our 7 day trip. The hotel was clean, in a great location, and had such a helpful staff. I don't have a single complaint about our stay at Luana. Would definitely come back here !

Staff were very friendly and always helpful. Guys in the fish hook cafe were fantastic, and were very accommodating when we asked for dishes to be adjusted to suit dietry requirements. Hotel facilities provided excellent value for money, great pool and gym, as well as being conveniently located for the car hire (oposite), the beach, shops and Amoana mall. Only con was that the air conditioning was rather old and noisy and no bar. Although the managers free drink hour on Mon, wed and Fri evening was very welcome.

Honeymoon”
My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon in waikiki and we loved our stay at Luana. We will be recommending it to our friends and family and we will definitely stay there again. The staff where so friendly and always helped us out when we needed things. It's in a great location and the price for the hotel is great. All facilities are great. Awesome hotel

Great stay at Luana Waikiki”
We stayed at the Luana Waikiki for two nights after having stayed at our time share for a week. The only thing that was missing was a toaster in the basic room. Staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel was clean. There were many perks that we did not have at the timeshare - wine and cheese, chairs for the beach, shuttle service around the area and the mall, bikes, entrance to Bishop Museum ---- all these things were free. Although we had to be out of our room at noon and not going to the airport until 730, we were allowed to use the pool and showers. Great stay and staff.

We stayed 8 nights at Luana Waikiki and found the hotel a great base to stay in Waikiki. We were on the 16th floor and had a great view across parkland to the beach and ocean views. It’s a short walk to the beach through the parkland. The staff were very efficient and friendly, the hotel and room were very clean and well appointed. The manager’s welcome receptions are a good way to meet other guests. Would stay there again.

Away from main hustle and bustle”
Pros: Located at back of reserve so relatively quiet yet walking distance to main part of Waikiki. Hotel and rooms clean. Kitchen has all cooking facilities needed Amenity fee of $25 per day gave you free pool and beach towels, bike hire, beach chairs, wifi, Bishop Museum visit, DVD and game hire and $10 each voucher for cafe (open 7am-2pm). Pool small but a nice temperature, gym adequate for a good workout. Cons: Pretty old decor in rooms In room airconditioners that are efficient but noisy (we turned them off at night and were cool enough) Very small ensuite Overall it was a great hotel to stay to explore Waikiki. If you like a modern style in a hotel, this probably wouldn't be your first choice.

I enjoyed my stay there. I thought the room and surroundings all though older was nice and clean. I however was shocked at the amenity fee of $50 and parking fee of $70 for two nights. Adding those costs into the rate was excessive and unreasonable.

Pleasant hotel”
Good location, spacious rooms. Reasonably priced cafe at front door. Room airconditioner was noisy and it could only be run continuously or on a very rapid on-off cycle; sleep was somewhat disturbed as a result.
