- A lock is needed (as the cabinet in the room is suitable for a suitcase, backpackers may find it difficult to store their valuables). - Shower amenities provided: shampoo, body wash (there is a hook inside the shower room to hang clothes, and there are also two shelves to place your own shower items). - There is a washing machine, but it is unclear if it also has a dryer function (coin-operated). - Breakfast is good, and the hours are generous from 6am to 10am. However, the same food was served every day during the 5-day stay, and there was a lack of fruits and vegetables. - There is a personal space inside the lobby, not just a large table. - There are both 220V and 110V outlets, USB cables for charging, and a small cabinet to store electronic devices while charging. A lock is also needed for this cabinet. - The personal bed curtains do not close all the way, only halfway. - The air conditioning and fan are constantly running, which can be a bit noisy, but the air quality is good and it is convenient for simple laundry drying. - Large towels are provided, and if requested, the staff will clean the room daily. However, personal items were left in the room, so the guest did not request cleaning and did it themselves. - The staff are all friendly, including the guards. - The 13th floor where breakfast is served seems to turn into a drinking space in the evening, but the guest did not use it. - There are several similar hostels in the area (including one that was considered before choosing this one), but they are located in alleys and may be scary to walk through at night. This hostel is located on a main road, so the location is good.

We stayed here overnight with a friend and initially booked a private room with two single beds. However, upon check-in at 1PM, we were informed that this wasn't available yet, but we could get a room with a king-sized bed on a higher floor. We were advised to wait while the room was still being fixed. However, after almost 2 hours, we were still not approached with our room assignment. Moreover, when we got in our room, we didn't have any bath towels and had to call housekeeping to ask for them. And when we got our towels, they looked old and had been in use for several times already. Not sure if this was a staff shortage problem or because there were many guests that stayed way past the check-out time. In any case, this is an area that can still be improved. Overlooking this, we absolutely loved our stay at Lub D and wished we could have stayed longer. The room, while small, was expansive because of its layout. It was also a good idea to choose a king-sized bed because it was more comfortable. But if you need to have your own space, the room with two single beds would be a better option. At first, having the sink outside of the room was kind of weird, but it was not that bad. The Smart TV function that lets us connect our other gadgets to it via Wi-Fi was also a nice feature if you want to watch something from your own phone or laptop with a bigger screen. Overall, we appreciate the chill and relaxed vibe of the whole place. If you're looking for a no fuss accommodation while partying around Makati City, or if you'd like to have a staycation with friends, I will still recommend Lub D.

My friends and I truly enjoyed our one night stay in Lub D! We’re a group of 3 and we booked the Metro King Duplex with complimentary breakfast. Check-in and check-out was hassle-free, room is spacious and clean—it even smelled of bleach when we entered 😅 WIFI is reliable too, but the Smart TV didn’t work, so that was a bummer. Nonetheless, what probably impressed us the most were the STAFF! They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially for my friends who are both vegan. Before I booked this place, I asked them through mail about the availability of vegan options for breakfast, and they asked me to inform the receptionist upon arrival so their restaurant can prepare. Lo and behold, we found the next morning that they really took the extra mile and prepared a simple vegan meal for my friends! The breakfast buffet was mid but they’re open until 10 AM, which is perfect for those who stayed up late, so I didn’t really mind! Location is good, too! You can walk to Century City mall for your essentials/groceries. There’s also a vegan restaurant (Cosmic) and bar/cafe (Gnostic) just 2 blocks away from Lub D 😊 Overall a really good experience! I’ll definitely recommend this to my friends. I don’t mind going back if I ever find myself needing a place to stay at around Makati. Thanks, Lub D!

I enjoyed my stay in Lub D. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Ely and Krisha who has been at the reception since the day I arrived, and the security guards at the ground floor who always welcomes guests with a smile no matter what time :) The location is great, it’s a few minutes walk away from restaurants, bars, cafes, convenience stores and a pharmacy. Parking is also available at a first-come-first-served basis. Facilities were nice, there’s a juice bar area on the second floor, where the co-working space and reception are located. They also have a billiards/pool table that you can use. There’s no pool but there’s a rooftop bar/restaurant where you can also opt to have a buffet breakfast. The breakfast is also a steal at around Php 250-300 per head, options were a bit limited, but it’s perfect for people who want to have a bit of everything, especially when traveling alone and you don’t really want to think about where to order from. I stayed at a Private Room with a king sized bed. The room was clean and it had a nice vibe. I think the only trouble I had was the spring on the bed that made it hard to sleep if you stayed on one side. Thankfully, it was just me, so it was manageable. Some of the pillows were also kinda tough, but other than that, overall a great experience, it’s still a great accommodation .
