      Relaxing”

The staff was very generous not to charge me since I checked in earlier than the usual time, very accommodating since she was able to assist me going to my room to secure that it’s well groomed and prepared. I love the aura or vibe of the place. The location itself. The room is clean and just enough space for us. Loving the hotel. No regrets booking again on this establishment.

      Clean and good location ”

It was just a short stay but we feel the comfort of our stay. The room was a lil bit different with its designs but it was nice and very comfortable specially the bed. The exciting part of this hotel is the entertainment from the lounge where you can choose different kinds of table games and etc. They also have a beer show the time we stayed. Idk if they still have it this time. And the location also is pretty good for me. Everything is just across the street almost 24/7. I think this is the best thing about this hotel.

I live in Bulacan and I stayed here once because I needed to be in Makati early for my Masters. My experience was mind blowing! The facilities are great and modern. The staff are attentive. My bed was comfy and I had decent privacy because of the curtains. The people are generally polite and helpful too. There are a lot of common spaces for groups to hang out and meet. Plus, the restaurant is really cool. Their janitors probably do not work round the clock that's why the restrooms are filthy during wee hours of the day. Parking spaces are also limited.

      It's a nice place but”

I like the beds and location but, they definitely need to make some improvements. The security locker for you valuables is a joke! It's about big enough for your cell phone and wallet but, nothing else. They have a locker for you bags but, it doesn't go to the floor or have a bottom. Unless you have a hard sided suitcase anyone can stick their arm in there and take whatever they want, so for backpackers it's useless too. Absolutely no place to lock up a laptop while exploring. The bathrooms are not so great either. They have a washer and dryer but, the dryer doesn't work worth a damn. Took over 100php when they said 50 and everything was still wet. The shower tub is to shallow and the crutan to high so the floor is completely soaked before and after a shower. There is no table or stool for your clothes so if they fall down they are smoked as well. Also the bed curtain doesn't fully close, so you have no privacy at all. On the plus side they have ac in every room and it blows cold. The beds are comfortable

Lub D Makati is a slick, modern hostel that’s comfortable, clean and at the price I paid, great value for money. You get more privacy than in a stereotypical hostel (each bed had a privacy curtain) and you don’t feel like you lose out should you have the top bunk. Although the lockers (in the room) don’t have a bottom, a small locker is provided by the bed for you to keep a closer eye on your valuables. Hangers and a clothes rail per bed are also provided. Just as important as the room I stayed in, bathrooms are clean and there is a washing machine one can use (for a charge). All in all, Lub D Makati gets my personal approval and it’s somewhere I will look into staying again in the future.

      Worth staying”

I love everything in this hostel, except the location. It's quite far from the nearest MRT Buendia, and located on Makati Ave - very heavy traffic at night - nightmare for booking Grab or Taxi to go anywhere because drivers couldn't pick you up. But everything else is awesome.

Had an overnight stay here with friends. This hostel is so cute! Felt like I was in a another country since most guests were foreigners. The interior and facilities were nice and definitely a good value for money. Highly recommended place if you want to stay around Poblacion area.

Usually quite good! Still my favorite for this price range.”

I have been staying at their dorm once a week for nearly a year now and have found it extremely pleasant. The beds are clean, the blankets are thick, the decor is quite easy on the eyes, there are plenty of sockets per bed for charging, plus I love the peace of mind the lockers provide (just bring your own locks). Hot water in the sinks, pretty convenient for washing my face. The concierge staff are also friendly and helpful, especially Ysa, who actually remembers my name! If there was any request I could make of management, it would only be more frequent freshening ups of the ladies' bathroom. At certain times, it starts to get really wet in there. Last Friday morning, it was wetter than I had ever seen, and when I asked the housekeeping in charge of rooms when the bathroom staff were coming, he said they would come soon, but by the time I finished my bath and got dressed and ready to check out, the bathroom was still in the same state.

Lub d Philippines in Makati is a place to stay”

The facilities are not that fancy but it's very clean, the staff are all polite and friendly. It has a washer and a dryer and most of all there's a lot of restaurants in the area (just walking distance). Barrio Fiesta is just across the street and it's only minutes to the malls. The staff are very considerate, too. We travelled to Singapore for a week and they allowed us to leave some of our luggages in their storage. Thank you, Lub D!

Easily the Best Hostel I have seen”

I am not a fan of Hostels because I like my own space but this place is way way way over the top of what you would expect from a hostel. The rooms are very clean and have a nice set up. There is an area to keep my things which was good for the wet clothes since it rained everyday. The bathroom was nice and had everything needed. The only downside was people dont know how to keep the floors dry when they shower. And the curtains for the bed only are half which is kind of annoying but do the job for the most part. The lounge area is great with games and seats and food. The Tv area was amazing since it rained and sitting in the room would be depressing.

      Value for money”

The whole room was clean and tidy. The bed was nice, as well as the room decor. The amenities were basic. The game area at the second floor was great. Staff were nice., although I asked one of them via phone call if they have ice. The guy at the reception said they did but I had to bring my own container to the 2nd floor. I went down with a mug, only to be told that they no longer had ice.

If I'm not mistaken, I was the first ever customer of this branch. Everything was new and perfect and clean and staff were nice. I had a welcome greeting and was escorted to my room. The next night I was surprised to get an upgrade and I just wish my stay didn't have to end. I've got to come back but I'm sure now other people are enjoying their stay too. The best hostel / budget hotel in Manila!”

This is the best hostel or budget hotel in Manila. Location is perfect as it is situated in Makati Ave. It is just a walk away from restaurants and malls. The hostel is new so all the facilities are super clean! Don't even bother booking at other hostel or hotels--this is the place for you if you need a cheap but clean hostel/hotel.

3rd time to stay here and would I still recommend it? Hell YES! Rooms are well-maintained, staffs are always friendly (even if my toddler broke something, haha) and super accessible to malls and restaurants in Makati and Taguig. Just don't forget to bring extra patience when trying to book a Grab during this holiday season.

Noisy place inside and out ”

The place is clean and the staff is friendly and the location is good. But the place is very noisy. The road noise is really bad along with the fact that the window is either not installed properly or it is not closed tightly so road noise and people talking/singing and music and sirens all come in very loudly. Even on a higher floor. The noise from the hallway is bad too. For some reason, everyone loves to yell in the hallway and talk loudly at all hours of day and night. So it’s hard to relax/sleep here. And the room design is a little questionable. Why not just use time-tested hotel room design? Don’t try to be trendy and do things differently. Room was very uncomfortable for two people. Bed is on a raised platform and the mattress sits directly on the floor. Mattresses need to breathe and do you really want to invite creepy crawly things into the mattress? Not a good design at all. No, bedside table up there either, Just the bed on floor. No storage in room or space for anything.

      The best among affordable options”

Overall: The place is a nice and cozy place to stay near Ayala Central Business District. The place is a little far from night party, hence you may experience a more silent night vs. other hostels/boutique hotel in the area. Pros: The quality of this hostel exceeds expectation, the feeling is very youthful, and all of the processes and experiences inside are well planned. Everything is accessible, the hostel has a coffee shop, rooftop bar, and restaurant. (everything that you need). There are also a nearby supermarket, pharmacy, and convenient store. Cons: The coffee shop is well equipped and yet the quality of coffee a little less than standard.
