Comfortable simple and clean. Perfect for what I needed!”
Comfortable simple hostel. It was perfect for what I needed. They don't provide towels or toiletries, but the price is so good, and I'd rather have a clean place to sleep and shower, so bringing my own towel is so not a big deal. There is handsoap and toilet paper of course. I stayed in a 4 bed all female room. There is AC in the room. The linens are very clean and comfortable. The lockers are huge and can definitely store a large suitcase (I just brought a carry on size and had LOTS of space left over), and there's a hanging rod to hang your clothes inside the locker. And there's a shoe shelf outside the room to store your shoes as well. They have a newer standard water dispenser that has ice cold warm and hot water. It's a comfortable place to sleep that was close to the red line which was exactly what I needed
comfortable accommodation with warm hospitality”
it was a very comfortable stay at Lucky One Hostel. The hostel is located at a quiet neighborhood full of loca food and friendly people.
Awesome stay 😊”
6nights in Lucky one hostel was really a great experience. Bed is so big, comfort room very clean and best staff. Keep it up 😊
Overall it is quite good”
Overall it is quite good. The hostel is near to the MRT station which make things easier. The service is pretty good too. People are nice and friendly. Each bed has it's own light and plug outlet, which is nice. There's just some minor stuff which I think they can improve. The shower room has some part to improve. When I was staying, one of the shower lock is broken. Another one doesn't have a hanger to place the tower or clothes. So, it gives us limited room to shower which we need to wait for others. Also, there is no hanger hook in the room. It will be much convenient if they could setup some hook for each bed for us to hang our towel. I will appreciate if they could setup a curtain for each bed. So that we won't be disturb if others in the room decided to on the light.
economical but cozy”
it was enjoyable. i stayed one night with my friend. we were satisfied with the price and the service. breakfast was not included, but it's ok. you will have to pay for shampoo and liquid soap. a 7-11 and a traditional market are nearby. also there's Ningxia night market which takes around 15 min walk. beds are cozy, but the room is kinda small. the locker cannot accommodate 28" or 29" luggage i guess. anyway, it's still a fine hostel.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean beds and toilets”
I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Everywhere is clean and tidy, and staff are friendly. The third floor was under renovation though, so 3rd floor occupants need to go to 1st and 2nd floors to go to the toilet. Rooms lack a rubbish bin (at least one outside each room) and some tissue containers in the toilet cubicles and sink area do not have tissue paper. Shower cubicles could be better if there are toiletries holders. Upper bunk beds could be better if there are two handles for us to hold on for climbing up and down. I love their power outlets! They include different versions of pin plugs outlets, as well as USB outlets. This review could be better if they have a fridge and breakfast. ☺
More than what I expected!”
I stayed in Lucky One Hostel for 3 days. During these 3 days, one of the male toilet was out of service. All the men in 2/F needed to share only one toilet or went to the 1/F. I think the management should improve the maintaining time. Anyway, this hostel is value for money, and the bed is bigger enough for a big man like me.
Very pleasant and helpful staff”
This is a no frills hostel, but if you want clean sheets, friendly staff and a good location then this is it. It is so new it isn't completed yet, so if you are on the third floor (women only floor) you will need to use the second floor bathroom. There is however a functioning toilet on third floor.
Nice neighbourhood ”
A nice location even though is not near to city centre. not a problem in Taipei as u can go around with ubike. This is a nice place where u can see dailies life of local and some delicatessen. Not very happening host but definitely worth the price.
Nice Hostel in Taipei”
a nice little hostel in taipei, the area was good, the rooms were clean and nice the only downside was it was a little expensive.
It's a new hostel.”
When I visited this hostel, it was still under construction in part. But there was almost nothing uncomfortable. Storage is enough and the facilities are new. Also the staff are very helpful and kind.
If you are traveling in couple, this hostel should be considered. Five minute walk from Minquan West Road station, convenient stores and street foods around, though not much. Clean bed and bathroom, and very friendly staff.
Good rest ”
This has been a good hostel. Have met a very talkative and informative lady, who is the mother of two children, sharing her point of view towards life. Great and refreshing night !
Could be a very great hostel”
I don't get why people are complaining about the lockers. I mean they're loud and annoying, yes. But seriously can't compare to the door. Because it shuts itself. People open it and let it go. And just 'BAM!' And it's probably as heavy as a truck. Imagine it's happening every 3-5 mins and keep on going forever.... The bathrooms are clean enough (not the toilets tho...) but they're all tiny except on big bathroom. The other small ones have nothing you can put your stuff on. No hanger. No shelf. I don't know why they think that'd be fine... The bathrooms and toilets get clean once in one or 2 days. I find it disgusting sometimes in the toilets... The bed and blanket are comfy enough. The staffs are more than helpful! They'd do anything to help you even though their English isn't that great. They'll look it up what you're asking and finally have the answer for you. Walkable distance to MRT and bus stops. Quite a few good restaurants or local food stalls around there. Wifi is fast enough. I only had problem with how noisy it can be in the hostel. I mean the doors and lockers and a lot if Chinese tourist who have no idea how to 'dorm'! It's not like they don't respect you but they don't know what's loud or quiet. Just tell them....
Very good quality-price”
The dorm has different international sockets next to every room. The staff is great and very friendly. I loved this hostel!!
Staff is super nice”
One thing I love in this hostel is their nice and super friendly staffs. The locaiton is also good. It took 8-10m to reach it from Mingquan MRT and it's very easy to locate it. However, the neighborhood is very quite, not so many stores and shopping sites. You should be aware of being in the same room with couples in mix dorm. My friend and I felt uncomfortable because there's couples under our bed. You should book female/male dorm if you can.
This is the cheapest accommodation I can find in my Taipei trip. Very good in the sense of budget living, but as my choice is to share the room with other 6 people, so it can be a bit noisy at night as all travellers sleep at different time. Location wise is ok, as it takes a while to walk to the nearest MRT station. You can walk to Daqiaotou MRT but Minquan West MRT is in fact the nearest(walk through Sande hotel is nearest).
It's a very clean and cozy hostel with very competitive price!
good location, a few tweaks would be helpful”
Most everything feels new and clean, but a few small maintenance things would make it almost perfect (for some travelers). For example, tighten the screws on the racks in the shower so they don't sag, add a grab handle to the upper bunks in the dormitory rooms to make climbing up and down easier, and add curtains to the dorm beds for a bit more privacy. Those are the main fixes I would suggest. The good part is, they do a lot of things right, and the staff were polite and helpful.
great location, U bike nearby, food street”
Have to walk about 5 minutes to Lucky ONE, but along the street there are many restaurants and U bike you can use. They do well management and supervision about guests luggages, which surprised me~ The female receptionist is friendly, though the male one with tattoo on hands behaved moody and not so friendly. Need to control personal emotion. Guests will prefer to see a receptionist smile and response friendly. Instead of poker face.
