Beautiful location, people, food and stay!”
As a business Luckydaisy hits every mark perfectly; a gorgeous location, fantastic and clean rooms, delicious food and drinks (especially the cocktails) and all at a reasonable price. However what really makes this place special is the people. We were first greeted by Timo and Hieyen who were super friendly. We chatted and they showed us to our room, explaining all that the local area has to offer. Later, over a log fire dinner, we met the wonderful owner Hien who told us all about the history of Ta Van, the local girls who worked there and her aptitude for forming new cocktails! Over the coming few days of our stay we got the chance to talk and laugh with lots of women from different ethnic minority groups and explore the surrounding area by bike. The views were nothing short of sensational and Ta Van is the perfect base to explore them from! We came away feeling like we had made many new friends and lots of great memories and would undoubtably take up any opportunity to return!

Cozy and scenic place”
The place is about 40 mins from Sapa town, it is more convenient to ask luckydaisy to arrange for transport as our taxi driver dropped us far from the place. We stayed in the mountain loft and loved the place, especially the comfortable bed. They also had cards and monopoly for entertainment. The bamboo bar was a nice place to chill (happy hour from 4-6, 1 for 1 beer). We had the family dinner for both nights and it was splendidly prepared with 4-5 dishes shared amongst guests. The staff arranged a 5-hour easy trek with local guide Lisa (highly recommend) around ta van village and we had lunch at her house. We got to know a lot about the culture of the h’mong and dsao people.

Sapa city isn’t really that great so we were happy to stay in Ta Van. Absolutely loved the location of the hotel. Amazing view in the morning! When we arrived they informed us that our room was overbooked for the 1st night. They really felt bad and try to make sure we still enjoyed our stay. They booked us into the shared room for one night. Which was absolutely fine by us. They invited us to join the family dinner. They do a family dinner every night for $7. Definitely worth the money! Second night we stayed in a private room with the bathroom in the room. Was really nice as well. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

This is an amazing place to stay for a short while or so. The food is fantastic and the drinks are refreshing. The staff will put a massive smile on your face! By the way, Lucky Daisy is a dog. An awesome one at that! Now, on to the next thing: holy cow! How many people does it take to make your stay off a bit? The answer is all of the local women selling H'mong goods. Yeah, I get it. It's their lively hood and culture. There is a line that is crossed the entirety of the day, just pestering to sell you something, anything! I mean, why can't I enjoy my coffee and cigarette when I first wake up? Seriously?!!? And this continues throughout the day. I'm very familiar with SE Asia, and this was NOT expected. Pro-tip: just don't buy a damn thing. Maybe it will help? FYI... This just is what it is in Sapa. Overall, I would love to go back and visit these beautiful people at Luckydaisy's, just minus the haggling.

Cosy and convenient in Ta Van village”
The place is reasonably clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. This house is located in Ta Van village, about 45 minutes from Sa Pa. It is a good starting point for trekking.

Loved our 5 night stay, second time around for us!, Thanks Hien and Sue especially, for making our stay so memorable, hope to come back soon, hopefully Tavan doesn't change too much once the new road down from Sapa is completed, still love the sleepy feel of the village!

Beautiful location, a bit basic for the price”
The location is so peaceful, it's amazing to be surrounded by the green rice fields (june till september). The dorm and reception (Bamboo bar) are two seperate buildings (5 minutes walk up steep hill). • Dorm: The bed is super soft and comfortable, unless you get the really thin and hard bed in the dorm. It's a bit dark in the dorm, but every bed has it's one sucket & light. The shower and toilet are outside, so be prepared to shower with insects or walk through the rain if you have to wee in the middle of the night. Would be a big improvement if they make a bathroom inside the building. The building itself is beautiful, made of wood and authentic. There's a hammock to chill (only one hammock though). In the dorm building are also the private rooms, you can hear each other speak a bit. • Bamboo Bar/Reception: The breakfast is delicious, enough choice. Family dinner is extremely tasty (€5,- per dinner). A nice spot to chill a bit, read a book or eat some Dutch cheese.
