Best restaurant food in Nepal.”
This hotel has the best chef. Every dish was delicious and as a gluten free vegan I found enty of menu items I could enjoy. I've been coming to Nepal since 2014 - As far as restaurants go, this restaurant is the best I've eaten at.

An exceptional Place to stay in Lumbini”
I picked this resort based on other reviews and I am glad I did. I am on a pilgrimage to the Birthplace of Buddha and the Maya Devi Temple. As soon as I arrived I was greeted with the staff's smiling faces. I was taken to the dinning room to relax and get something to drink. From that moment the staff was very attentive, responsive, and kind. The room was extremely clean and the air conditioner worked great. This is important due to the high temperatures in Lumbini. Each morning I was amazed and filled with joy as to the variety and sounds of all the birds in the resort's peaceful courtyard. The only thing better than the birds singing in the morning, was the quality of the food. WOW!! Everything was delicious. I decided to take a Tuk Tuk each way to Maya Devi Temple and the resort was happy to call for one every time. The distance to the sacred Maya Devi Temple garden grounds in the Lumbini heat due to the distance. The very slow internet was a bit on an issue. But overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort.

Quiet oasis with great staff”
This little resort is a quiet gem about 2km walk from gate 1 in lumbini. It’s a bit of a walk to get to “town” But you will appreciate the quiet! Staff is great, restaurant is really good. But there are major issues with water pressure in the washroom. But I can highly recommend a relaxing stay here.

Eco luxury, relaxing and friendly”
I have a very nice and relaxing stay at Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort. Originally it was to be a bit out of my price range (I was a single traveler on a budget) but upon research of hotels in that area I discovered that all hotels were in the high price range. I went with Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort due to it's more eco and natural design. The photograph of the thatched bungalow made it the choice for me and I was not disappointed. Upon arrival I was happy to see it situated a little distance from the main tourist strip, nicely nestled inside the secluded woodlands. I was greeted warmly by the members of staff who were expecting me, offered a refreshment and asked how my journey was. My bungalow was what I would describe as eco luxury - 2 big beds, white linen, many windows for natural light, bottled water to drink, big bathroom and chairs on the porch to enjoy the peace of the garden. The water was solar powered and warm whenever I showered. The food was good and the staff always friendly and willing to help with anything you may need. I took one of their bikes out for a whole day, enjoying the sunshine and seeing the local sights. It is definitely the best way to see the town. In the evenings there was an outside campfire which you could sit beside, chatting with the fellow guests and staff listening to the wildlife and hearing about everyone's adventures. This is definitely a little gem of a place and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in this area. If I ever return to Lumbini I will book a stay here again without hesitation and would look forwards to seeing the friendly faces of all the staff. If you want peace, relaxation, nature with an edge of luxury and friendly faces this is the place for you.

Quiet, relaxing, peaceful”
Lumbini Buddha Garden is a very recommendable unique eco-friendly nature-oriented spread of garden and bungalows run in association with a wildlife conservation and research NGO that also does local treeplanting and education. Dinesh, the friendly and efficient manager, is a knowledgeable bird-lover, who can introduce you to the graceful Sarus crane, the world's tallest flying bird, and many other species. (Even wild antelopes visited the garden while we were there). We borrowed bicycles to explore the Lumbini complex; easy access. I liked how there's no formal reception desk or tour office lobby (though Dinesh can handle all requests for travel arrangements etc, and inter-city buses can drop off or pick up passengers at the gate) -- simply a genuine warm welcome and a very peaceful environment that lives up to the name, Lumbini Buddha Garden. (Just make sure the bus driver doesn't confuse your destination with Lumbini Garden Hotel, down by the dusty village center...)

Buddhism, meditation, birds and antelope”
Great stay at the Buddha Garden Lodge. The rooms are set in a beautiful and tranquil forest area that contains lots of birds and even antelopes. The owner Dinesh Giri is very interested in the birds and wildlife and showed me many unusual and endangered species both at the lodge and within the local area. His knowledge of Buddhism and Lumbini is excellent, able to explain about all the monasteries. The ticket office is only 10 mins/800m away, easy walk. We also did some meditation and walks in the nearby forest. Throughout my stay I was made to feel at home and shown many cultural highlights in Lumbini and the surrounding area.

Wonderful three night stay”
Very much enjoyed our three night stay. My brother and I visited Lumbini for the birthplace and monasteries, but even more, for a quiet contemplative low-key couple of days. This was an ideal choice for accommodations as it's a few km outside the main town, and very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is undergoing some impressive upgrades to the landscaping and facilities during this offseason. New brick pathways are being built which will be very attractive when complete. Sharad, Prem and Krishna were wonderful hosts with many great suggestions and lots of great information on Nepal itself. I particularly enjoyed the conversations about the area's history and the economic future. I was late asking for an ecological tour (worth asking about) but Prem set aside some of Krishna's time to take us into the fields across the road from the hotel. Great experience! There was abundant bird life, giant deer called Blue Back, and the rare and endangered Sarus Crane. In addition, Prem arranged a private car to take us back to Kathmandu (be mindful of occasional strikes that affect travel in Nepal), even calling during the drive to ask us if we were comfortable and safe. Thank you Sharad, Prem and Krishna (and everyone else) for a welcoming, comfortable and easy-going stay, and for making us feel like part of the family during our visit. I won't hesitate to recommend you to anyone traveling to Lumbini.

A very peaceful place with some fresh air.”
This hotel is off the main Lumbini road which due to repairs, is very very dusty. But once you are within this property you get the fresh air which was missing otherwise in Lumbini. The hotel is strategically located with the temple complex and airport in close proximity. Though I stayed there just for the night, I would say that being in the quiet surrounding helped in a very sound sleep. I would say, that though it was a short stay, I thoroughly enjoyed being there.

A nice resort but not in walking distance to most of the temples”
Facilities are good, and staff are very helpful. However, if the main purpose of the stay is to visit the temples, then the location is quite far away and need to arrange transportation, but of course, the hotel staff is able to assist.
