A nice resort but not in walking distance to most of the temples”
Facilities are good, and staff are very helpful. However, if the main purpose of the stay is to visit the temples, then the location is quite far away and need to arrange transportation, but of course, the hotel staff is able to assist.

        One night stay in Lumbini”
Room is pretty clean, spacious and have hot water
It took us a bit of time to find this hotel as there are many hotels having the similar name. The room is quite big and very clean and most important thing is they have hot water. Food was nothing special, Nepalese traditional food. The staff are very nice and helpful.

        Wonderful three night stay”
        Staff, cleanliness, comfort
Very much enjoyed our three night stay. My brother and I visited Lumbini for the birthplace and monasteries, but even more, for a quiet contemplative low-key couple of days. This was an ideal choice for accommodations as it's a few km outside the main town, and very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is undergoing some impressive upgrades to the landscaping and facilities during this offseason. New brick pathways are being built which will be very attractive when complete. Sharad, Prem and Krishna were wonderful hosts with many great suggestions and lots of great information on Nepal itself. I particularly enjoyed the conversations about the area's history and the economic future. I was late asking for an ecological tour (worth asking about) but Prem set aside some of Krishna's time to take us into the fields across the road from the hotel. Great experience! There was abundant bird life, giant deer called Blue Back, and the rare and endangered Sarus Crane. In addition, Prem arranged a private car to take us back to Kathmandu (be mindful of occasional strikes that affect travel in Nepal), even calling during the drive to ask us if we were comfortable and safe. Thank you Sharad, Prem and Krishna (and everyone else) for a welcoming, comfortable and easy-going stay, and for making us feel like part of the family during our visit. I won't hesitate to recommend you to anyone traveling to Lumbini.

        Location, staff courtesy, food
We had booked the thatched bungalow but we're provided simple rooms with no reduction in prices. We were not given a satisfactory explanation as to why the thatched bungalows were unavailable and since we were too tired to prod, we let it be! The heater was a great advantage. No towels/ toiletries were provided and this was a put-off. Food was good and the staff was very polite. Overall it was ok but a little disappointed with the negatives mentioned above.

        Buddhism, meditation, birds and antelope”
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic owner; close to Lumbini; plenty of wildlife
Great stay at the Buddha Garden Lodge. The rooms are set in a beautiful and tranquil forest area that contains lots of birds and even antelopes. The owner Dinesh Giri is very interested in the birds and wildlife and showed me many unusual and endangered species both at the lodge and within the local area. His knowledge of Buddhism and Lumbini is excellent, able to explain about all the monasteries. The ticket office is only 10 mins/800m away, easy walk. We also did some meditation and walks in the nearby forest. Throughout my stay I was made to feel at home and shown many cultural highlights in Lumbini and the surrounding area.

Tranquil oasis at thr Buddha's birthplace”
        Peaceful setting, birds and antelope,quiet
An excellent place to rest up during a India/Nepal trip. Bicycles are available (and necessary) to get to the pilgrimage site of the Buddha's birthplace and the many monasteries close to it, since it's too far to walk (~ 4 km), A taxi is necessary to get to any additional related sites (palace ruins where Siddhartha grew up, etc.) A bit expensive, but very peaceful.

Quiet, Friendly / Helpful staff, a bit rustic but genuinly so.
Very pleasant. The staff were very attentive and helpful & unpretentious. Got the feeling of genuineness about the place. Dinesh, the manager/ guide/ naturalist/ was very involved & concerned with my well being. The nature walk in the fields behind the hotel was very nice. We sighted Antelope and Cranes. He also arranged transport and guide to the Lumbini sacred area. Rs. 3000/=. Airport to hotel vv Rs. 1000/=. Great experience.

        Location, setting, staff
Lumbini Buddha Garden is a very recommendable unique eco-friendly nature-oriented spread of garden and bungalows run in association with a wildlife conservation and research NGO that also does local treeplanting and education. Dinesh, the friendly and efficient manager, is a knowledgeable bird-lover, who can introduce you to the graceful Sarus crane, the world's tallest flying bird, and many other species. (Even wild antelopes visited the garden while we were there). We borrowed bicycles to explore the Lumbini complex; easy access. I liked how there's no formal reception desk or tour office lobby (though Dinesh can handle all requests for travel arrangements etc, and inter-city buses can drop off or pick up passengers at the gate) -- simply a genuine warm welcome and a very peaceful environment that lives up to the name, Lumbini Buddha Garden. (Just make sure the bus driver doesn't confuse your destination with Lumbini Garden Hotel, down by the dusty village center...)

I was extremely happy with my stay at Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort. The manager, Dinesh, is a wildlife expert, who shared his knowledge on several fascinating animal spotting outings. The resort is located in natural surroundings, is quiet and perfect for those looking for wildlife encounters. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, my room was clean and comfortable.
