Strategic, good value hotel”
Lux Melati is a good budget hotel, if you're looking for a clean and cheap place to stay. The location is also great, close to the city center which offers various restaurants, souvenir shop, coffee shop and minimart, and on the other hand close to Tanjung Pendam beach where you could enjoy sunset. The breakfast is good, mostly Indonesian choices. We are in Belitung for 3D2N holiday, and it was amazing! We are outdoor most of the times, doing island and beach hopping, enjoying local food and sight seeing in the location of famous novel and movie "Laskar Pelangi/Rainbow Troops". Enchanting island.

nice and good value hotel”
The hotel provide basic clean room with good facilities. There is a water heater in the bathroom, complete TV channel and most important wi-fi also available in the room. except for the choices for the breakfast is not that much (just simple breakfast). But it doens't bother me at all, once we got there. all we want is hunting all the local food. The Beach and the nightmarket is just a walking distance from the hotel (7minutes). the Staff also very helpfull, and can provide the rent for motorbike or car with driver with a reasonable Price. the citytour options for diving or snorkling also available through the staff. overall, definitely gonna stay at this hotel again.

Great basic accommodation with excellent service”
I stayed here for 4 days with my sister in July 2013 without any issues and would go back. The accommodations are very basic but the rooms were a good size and clean. The breakfast was basic but worked for us. The high-speed internet worked well especially in the main lobby. The location was good as it was right in the city. The best part of our stay was the owner and staff who were very helpful and outgoing during our stay. We used Google Translate to communicate with them as we only speak english. They arranged scooters for us to rent and told us exactly where to go for the beach and where to find food. Also the owner was nice enough to take me to the main market to get fruit. Belitung was defiantly a great little island, safe, friendly and has a great beach about 30-45 mins by scooter outside of the city. I would go back no problem but I would have to say it is defiantly for the no frills traveler/backpacker and not for the 5 star tourist.

Budget Hotel”
It was clean but no daily cleaning. They have hot waters, free drinks everytime you want. Staff was friendly. There is free wifi here. Also there is an ATM in front of the hotel. Easy access to food market. Location is in Tanjung Pandan, about 20 mins from the airport.

Amazing service with a smile”
This hotel doesn't have the greatest rooms but their service was better than any hotel I have stayed at in Indonesia. They got us a great deal on motorcycle rental and were very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay in Belitung a great experience.

couldn't ask for better ones”
I had booked for two days, but then realized there is no other optimum choices for the same price. I felt comfortable with the bed, breakfast and surprisingly my hair was well treated by hotel's shampoo (something strange). Hotel is equipped with plenty of cctvs and 24hr reception desk. I parked a car for two days and nothing happened, it was very safe. If there is one thing I could suggest is the wifi speed, so slow during peak hour.

Basic but well located and helpful staff”
this hotel is perfect because it's well located and cheap. you won't spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway once you're in Belitung. the staff is friendly but does not speak english very well, they can provide you with a motorbike and a car with driver if necessary for a reasonable price.

Budget travellers hotel”
the lux melati hotel is a good hotel if you don't want to spend a lot of money. i think the hotel was ok although the bathroom didn't smell that good. bed + room where ok although the linnen was not that clean. euros per night is not expensive for european standards, although for indonsian standards it is not cheap so as a traveller i would expect a clean place. with regards to the breakfast; sometimes is was there and on some days there was no breakfast at all, so the hotel should make sure that this is always available. overall i would say it would be a good place to stay if the hotel management would implement these things properly. again friendly stafff.

Exceptional”
I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. There was no noise to disrupt our sleep, the environment was clean and hygiene, no mosquitoes. Bed sheet and pillow case was white. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s only 4 mins walk to the beach, and 4 mins walk to the city centre. Excellent location.

its doesnt look like a hotel, most likely a hostel, thin wall so u can hear peoples talking. but the room is very clean, also the bathroom. the price very cheap, compare to other star hotel is almost half of the price. ok for sleep only, free water, coffee n tea all day, great location

Great service and room”
This hotel have a great location and atm bca is right in front of this hotel which is great. They provide breakfast for every guest and its was okay. They also provide water fountain and tea coffe. The room itself clean and cozy, pretty good wifi based on the traffic. We have problem with water pump in mu room, instead the staff give us another room key just for us to use the toilet and bathroom. Pretty satisfied overall and it was good value for your money

This was a nice small hotel. The room was large and clean, Room faciities was minimum but its OK. Breakfast was very simple and not good. But you could not expect much from non-rated hotel. Its worth value your money. I will return next time

This is a very good place to stay, even with more persons in one room. The staff is very helpful and the manager will do everything to make you feel comfortable during your stay..And the shuttle to the airport is fast and perfect organized. I will always return to this place!!!

I think this hotel should consider fixing the electricity problem because during our stay, black out happened very often. The room is clean, although it needs a mat in front of the bathroom. It is quite surroundings and quite cheap in price also. Consider the price, it is value for your money expensed.

Good budget hotel with strategic location”
My only complaint is the staff forgot to refill my soap in the bathroom, but when I told him the second time, he fulfilled my request in no time. But the most disappointing thing was the breakfast. They give us only plain rice and two kinds of food (fish and soup), some bread or fried bananas. They should provide more menus. Other things were satisfactory.

The room is basic, clean. The staff are friendly. The air con isn't cool enough as the room is big and the weather is very hot. There is no English speaking channel in TV cable. Thw wall (it's not really a wall) is very thin so you can hear people talking and walking outside you room. The breakfast is just toast. But if you are staying just for a night or two should be fine considering the price.
