Great location with really compassionate staff”
Our stay in Amsterdam was short but necessary! Luxer was a great choice for the price and location. Upon arriving we went through the same routine as any other hotel, it was really clean for its location considering that it was Amsterdam. The room was very clean and well presented for what it is, on hand shower gel etc. The staff provided us with an adapter for our English charger as we didn’t have one at the time which was really nice. Breakfast for €9 pre booked and €12.50 for no booked, we missed our pre booked day and asked if we could move it to the next day which they was more than willing to do. We was victim to the Gatwick Drone incident and the person at the desk was very comforting and reassuring and gave us a room with 15% discount which we was very grateful for. They also gave us a little goody bag after we checked out which was also nice! The only thing I could say which would be better is for check out to be 12 as walking in Amsterdam gets tiring!
Overnight in busy midweek night in Amsterdam Centre”
My first time in Luxer Hotel and I was very happy with my stay. The location is excellent , couple of minutes walk from central station. Around the corner is a street with numerous restaurants, Thai, Spanish, European, Japanese, Indian, Modern, and some nice quaint pubs. The room was spacious ( by Amsterdam standards) spotlessly clean, nice big en-suite. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. All in all a true find in the centre of Amsterdam. I will return for sure.
Great Value!”
We have stayed in numerous hotels in the "old " section of Amsterdam. It's pricey, busy, and full of hotels which offer little value for your money. The Luxer is a notable exception to this! It features an excellent location but, more importantly, you actually feel like you are staying with a company that takes pride in its establishment. The staff were amazing, the security excellent, and our room far superior to any of the others we have stayed in at a comparable price! Highly recommended!
Exceptional”
The Luxer Hotel is a very good value for its excellent location in Central Amsterdam, close to Central Station and many of the main tourist attractions. We were very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good at a reasonable cost.
Exceptional”
Love this hotel. Near to Amsterdam Centraal train station. The Hotel is in the middle of the Amsterdam Centrum crowd. But dont worry, the hotel room is very quiet, clean, with private bathroom. Very friendly staff. And they give us a bag of snacks when we chek out
Absolutely brilliant hotel! Perfect location, lovely, friendly staff and great room! ”
Location was perfect, centre of Amsterdam, at the end of the high street. Close to all shops, museums and places to eat! Everything you need is on your door step! Staff are welcoming, friendly and just all round helpful. Our room was a great size for us two and cleaned everyday. Bar and receptionist are very chatty and willing to help with everything! Great value for money considering all other hotels in the area charge double the price and aren’t as nice! Will 100% be staying here on my return to Amsterdam!
Great, clean, safe hotel in central location ”
Stayed here by myself when booked a last minute couple of days away. I looking for a hotel near my family and friends who were booked in to a nearby hotel for a few days. The reviews and pics of the hotel online looked good and I booked! Hotel is great. It has a clean modern and cool reception and bar area, perfect to sit and use a for the small amount of work I needed to do on one of the days. The rooms were clean, modern and the bed was very comfy - noticeably more so than the bed on a recent trip to a 5 star hotel. You can extend check out when there is availability for a charge. Upon leaving I was presented with a goody bag - a lovely and unexpected touch. Felt safe staying by myself - the reception need to buzz you in the main door, you can’t just walk off the street. I would definitely recommend staying at The Luxer for me it provided everything you need in a hotel.
Terrific stay!”
the hotel is located right in the red light district with lots of bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Nearest canal is a 1 min walk. Reception was great, always ready to help. the room was a little small but very comfortable with good air conditioning and a reasonable sized window. Bed was super comfortable and the room was quiet. Overall an excellent stay and would love to stay here every time i am in Amsterdam! It is slightly on the expensive side considering the size of the room and hotel, however thats how it is across amsterdam city centre so I guess thats a non-issue if you decide to stay right next to all the action.
Excellent hotel ”
As a return traveller to Amsterdam this has to be the best hotel I've stayed in xx excellent location right in the heart of the dam xx comfortable beds xx very quite ( could be because we were at the back of the hotel but didn't hear any noise) xx friendly helpful staff xx breakfast was amazing xx and very clean xx will be staying here every time I visit Amsterdam xx well done guys xx
Modern hotel very close to train station ”
This hotel is located about 3 blocks from the train station. It is on a quaint street in the heart of Old Town Amsterdam, in the red light district. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is a lovely blend of modern updated amenities and old charm. All the staff spoke English. We selected a small room - and it is small. But we are both medium sized people so it was not a problem. We loved listening to the TV shows in multiple languages. We liked having the coffee & tea in the room. The best thing about the hotel is the location. We could just step outside and enjoy the restaurants, shopping, architecture and multi-cultural ambiance of the City. I hope I get to come back here again.
Wonderful”
Located in centre of Amsterdam and 5mins walk from Amsterdam Train Station. Easy to find Halal food and shopping area just around the corner. Room is clean, very clean. Very comfortable bed and shower heater is great. Upon arrival the receptionist is really helpful and swift check in. It only took about 3mins for me to get my room. Security wise, entrance door always lock and receptionist is available 24/7.
Small hotel on busy street near Central Station”
We had an early flight into Amsterdam and got to the hotel about 10 AM. Our room was not ready so we left our luggage at the hotel and went for a walk. We came back about noon and our room was ready and they already took our bags up. The hotel has stairs to the elevator as well as on the second floor to our room so it is not for anyone with walking challenges. The room was small but clean. Bathroom had plenty of towels. The room overlooked the street so it was a bit noisy but in the evening quieted down. The beds were comfortable. They do serve a buffet breakfast with a fee. We just wandered to a local bakery and got delicious croissants and coffee. We checked out and they gave us a gift bag full of goodies- nice touch. We needed to get a taxi to the port to catch a river cruise and they had a car waiting outside who took us at a nominal fee. Overall nice place for a quick stay
Good Choice”
Luxer Hotel was exceptionally clean. The bathroom could do with updating but the bedroom itself was spacious with a very comfy bed. Location was convenient and the staff were friendly and obliging. The little goody bag handed to us on departure was a nice touch.
Very happy”
Our stay was for two nights, The location was perfect close to Central Station and the River boat docks as well as all the Amsterdam attractions. Staff provided excellent service and attention to detail. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable and has good facilities will stay again when next in Amsterdam.
Amazing Location!”
We loved our stay at Luxer Hotel! The location was absolutely perfect. Everything is in walking distance and the staff were so friendly making communication a breeze. Hotel rooms are a great size and the beds are super comfy. Would happily stay here again :)
Exceptional”
Excellent choice for a few nights in Amsterdam. Location is perfect minutes from Central Station and Dam Square. The hotel has a lovely little bar and the breakfast is excellent ! The rooms are clean and the staff are brilliant - nothing is too much trouble for them and they will try and answer any questions. Would definitely recommend
Best Location ever”
Was the third time in Amsterdam and this Hotel beats every other I have ever been. The location is perfect, because you are in 3 minutes at the central station and therefore you reach every place in Amsterdam in a couple of minutes.
Excellent location and wonderful staff”
We came for 3 nights to Amsterdam and found Luxor by chance. The hotel is simple, not a fancy one, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location is superb. We walked all over the city and came back to the hotel several times a day. At night time, you can find all kind of nearby restaurants and coffee or ice cream places. Highly recommended.
Best Amsterdam city hotel in this price range”
The best hotel in this price range. Location is excellent, in heart of Chinatown and great restaurants. Hotel even has a lift. This would be my first choice for a hotel in the center of Amsterdam for this price range.
Unbeatable location, smallest room ever”
Pros: Near Centraal train station ( the heart of the city), yet super quiet friendly and efficient hotel. Nestled in a busy street full of restaurants, hotels and cafes. Easy to travel anywhere in the city. Pay close attention as you can easily miss it. Facilities clean and plenty of hot water. Staff polite and helpful. Carlos was very helpful explaining the city and things to do. Cons: extremely small room and very expensive! Breakfast is extra and costs €12. We chose to buy groceries from a nearby supermarket but there are countless breakfast places on the street. We had rm 108 facing the restaurant next door and sometimes odors would travel up. Small closet w working safe. Walls thin and doors would slam from next room. I would revisit Amsterdam and stay in the area again. Most lively city!
