Nice and easy access hotel”
We enjoyed our stay in Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas because it was an easy access to the other hotels like Excalibur. It was also close to the Vegas Strip and lots of Restaurant to choose. We didnt really care much about the view but it was ok from where we at, and the housekeeping is good too. We came back with a nice and rearrange room and lots of fresh and clean towels too. My oldest son mentioned to me that they had enjoyed their stay too when he and his wife made reservation at Luxor Hotel. My other children had a weird feeling about the elevator because it feels like it was moving side ways but they enjoyed the ride. Well thank you for the 2 nights stayed we had at Luxor Hotel. We love it and really enjoyed our stay.
Tacky Chic ”
You can't to go to Las Vegas and avoids tackiness. So where better to stay is in a massive pyramid which fake Egyptian decor. Get you a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel I due to renovations it's a little bit of a walk too reception. Check in was Swift on the stuff very polite. Another bit of a trek thanks to my room, but the room offered everything I needed. The bed was exceedingly comfortable, a good size bathroom with both shower and bath, good size TV and strong reliable WiFi. The view from the window was great huge panorama of downtown Las Vegas. Review Inside the Hotel was equally spectacular looking down on the inside of hollow pyramid a long way below. I hired a car for two days off my stay, and the Hoover Dam wasn't easy hours drive away, as were various shopping malls. In summary a great stay in a great hotel, albeit at one end of the strip accessing Vegas Old Town quite a journey, well worth it though.
Luxor, LAs Vegas”
The Luxor hotel has a great location on the south end of the strip and it's close to the airport. We decided to take a taxi to get there, unfortunately the line to get a taxi at the airport was about 20 minutes long. It's a bit of a walk to get the the monorail station that takes you up and down the Las Vegas Strip, the closest station is at the MGM Grand Hotel. Rooms were clean and had a great time at the pool as well.
Great Stay @ Luxor”
After looking for hotel rooms in Vegas, I ended up staying at the Luxor for two reasons. 1st reason was that the price. The 2nd is that the Luxor is an excellent hotel. It is located ON THE STRIP right near the MGM and Mandalay Bay. I have stayed there before, and both times it has been big clean rooms. The pool is excellent, and the casino floor is nice and clean. Not gaudy like other casinos. You can't get a better deal for such an excellent room.
Great location, clean”
We really liked our stay at the Luxor Hotel. It was right on the strip and had a great big casino with lots of different game options. It was clean and had great food. Like everything in Las Vegas the hotel was a great price but everything else was very expensive. Nothing you can do about that, that's just how vegas is but the pool was great and the hotel was everything we wanted.
Good deal ”
I was concerned about the quality of the rooms after reading some of the older reviews, but the room was nice and clean. The free wifi was also decent. My daughter, who had been to Vegas more recently, said that the Luxor had been under construction, so it appears that they renovated and made improvements. The room was on the 27th floor in the pyramid, so it was not too loud and we had a nice view of the Strip. The hotel connects to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur, which is convenient because you can easy access to more restaurants, shows, shops, and casino options without having to step outside. This is great for when it's hot in the summer, or like this trip, when it was cold and windy. The only thing I would've preferred is if the room included a coffee maker and some coffee/ tea.
LUXOR a misnomer”
To call the LUXOR a hotel is misleading because it is a misnomer. It is a city in itself and since it chose an egyptian name "Luxor" the name caravanserail shoutd be added to it. Conservely it is perfect for the gambling people, and I appreciated a wonderful show called "Believe" with a Criss Engel in the leading role. The best restaurant is the Pyramide Cafe, the rest are fast food joints which a avoid. But I must admit that the statues and the decor of this place is unique in Las Vegas and I do not regret having stayed in this "hotel"
Great themed Vegas option”
On check in there was a massive queue but apparently this is normal at this hotel. I was glad I was in the towers rather than the pyramid as the rooms were quieter. Not much in the way of healthy food options so didn't dine at the hotel much. Great atmosphere. Room was comfy, good shower, comfy bed, easy to use safe, spacious. Downside, you hear the doors of neighbours slamming throughout the night. Not very sound proof. Gym was brilliant, everything you need is in there. Pool area is nice but sunbeds are in short supply. Pool doesn't open until 9am so people queue to get there. Pool is freezing but necessary with the heat of Vegas. All in all great hotel choice on the airport side of the strip. If I go back I'd either stay at the Luxor again or choose a hotel in the middle of the strip like the Bellagio or Mirage.
This is my first time to stay at the Luxor from Feb 2-6 and I couldn't have had a better time. Now after reading some of the reviews here I thought I may have made a mistake. Glad I let experience show me better. Waited in line for about 15 minutes. The room was HUGE!! 2 queen beds and lots of space. The floor was very quiet and I got plenty of rest. The next morning I struck out to explore the hotel. There are so many unique things to see at this hotel. To really see Vegas I walked everywhere. Take good sneakers or walking shoes. Make use of the tram to and from the Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. It was great to be able to ride over to the other casinos on that end of the strip for variety. This was a great hotel and experience for me and I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vegas during the midweek. Other hotels on the strip may offer a bit more flash, but for my money, the staff, dealers and housekeeping will keep you happy.
Awesome night out”
My wife and I are from Henderson,NV so we didn't travel very far, however it was our one year anniversary and the luxor was the perfect place to celebrate it. The price of the room was very reasonable, and that allowed us to put money into other activities. The coupon book that came with the room was my favorite part because it allowed us to watch the jabawockeez preform at a great price and you get 20 dollars towards food or drinks at the hotel bars and casinos. The staff was very welcoming and the room was clean when we arrived and was very spacious(we stayed in the tower deluxe king). All in all I was very satisfied and will definitely be staying here again!
nice architecture ”
The hotel is located at the south point of the strip, between excalibur and mandalay bay, where you can walk from the hotel easily. Luxor is a typical las vegas hotel; not much to accept from the room but from the shows; casino etc. I felt that the number of machines were much less than my previous visit, but you can walk to many other hotels to enjoy a bigger casino. The staff is nice, buffet is huge, shows are great. The only things that really annoyed me was the staff who were trying to sell shows everytime we have passed. I would recommend this hotel for everyone, who is planning to visit las vegas.
Good place to stay for a very good price”
Booked this hotel due to the fact that it was made famous by Criss Angel but to our horror, he has shifted to Planet Hollywood Hotel. The design of the hotel is unique & we chose a pyramid room & it is unique where the lift move up in a diagonal way. If you are looking for a budget Las Vegas hotel with tram to the Las Vegas Strip, this is the one. We were able to go to Planet Hollywood to catch the Criss Angel show & able to explore the Las Vegas Strip. There are many shows in this hotel as well. The Blue Man group & the Fantasy Strip tease (They touted it as one of the best in LV) but we didn't go as we were busy entertaining overselves over the jackpot machines in the casino. Overall a good place to stay at a very good price. If you can afford to pay more, can choose a hotel along the strip, if not stay at Luxor.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Hotel”
The luxor is one of the nicest hotels in Las Vegas, even after years in good conditions. During our stay we visited different hotels, only Bellagio, Cesars Palace, Venetian, Mirage can compete (these are better hotels but are much more expensive)
Value for money stay”
The best thing about the Luxor was the room. The room was spacious, with good amenities, nice beds and furniture, the bathroom was adequate. The room and hotel had strong air-conditioning which is an important requirement given the hot weather. The hotel is located at the south end of the Las Vegas Boulevard or the Strip. This means it is at least a half hour walk to the center of Las Vegas Boulevard where Caesar's Palace is located. There is a free monorail service to the Excalibur which avoids you having to cross the freeway. Given the price offered by Agoda, it was a value for money stay.
Luxor a Bargain”
We found the hotel attractive, with plenty to do and see in the hotel and the adjacent hotels - Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. Our room was nicely appointed, with a beautiful marble bathroom. There is a shopping mall connecting the Luxor with the Mandalay Bay hotel next door, and a moving walkway to the Excalibur on the other side. We saw "Menopause the Musical" at the Luxor which was excellent. There are plenty of places to eat, in various price ranges. We thought the value for the money was very high, and had a good two-night stay.
LUXOR at VEGAS”
We stayed in Luxor for 2 nights and were quite satisfied with the amenities and services. Can't complain for the price and takes a few minutes to get to our room, but that's expected in big hotels/casinos and Luxor is huge. The lobby takes you to another world with so many huge Egyptian sculptures and nice indoor garden. There is a shuttle train going to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. We joined a tour of Grand Canyon West Rim/Skywalk, the next day and we were picked up right from the hotel and were the first to be dropped off on the return. Lots of tours originates/departs from Luxor. Lots of entertainments and restaurants and extensive slots and other table games.
The Egyptian themed hotel is fabulous, it definitely gave a great experience. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The main lobby and resturants etc, it is well kept. We discovered the buffet on the last day which was a bummer as it was delicious with many options and well priced (so do try it out) . It would've been nice to be notified on a pamphlet of restaurant options when checking in. Only main con was the bathroom in the rooms are quite outdated and have terrible shower head pressures. Therefore eg: when trying to wash your hair, it takes 3 times longer than normal. Do note it is at one end of the main Vegas strip so a bit of a walk each day to get there but reasonable uber. We do recommend staying here as it was very affordable and overall a great hotel.
Luxor Hotel, Las Vegas (NV), Excelent. priceless clean, staff, service
Amazing 1st time experience of Vegas!!”
An overall great 10 day stay in the Luxor/Vegas with good and bad experiences. I managed to get pick pocketed of my wallet while playing blackjack, the night security lady at the security desk wasn't interested and useless but the day staff couldn't do enough but no wallet. Although if i was counting cards the cameras would have seen that happen i bet! Buffet-food is very plain with little selection, far from value for money and better off upstairs at the food court. Pool-plenty loungers but no umbrellas to get shade and with free towels to many lazy people don't return to bins provided and loungers look occupied. Staff-very helpful and polite apart from night security lady. Room-very good and value for money, maid in every day but did have a dirty glass on table for 4 days until i put in corridor and stayed there for a further 2 days. Overall the Luxor is a good hotel and value for money. Alot of good and very little bad and definitely return/recommend the Luxor.
Luxury Accommodation at the end of the Strip”
We enjoyed our stay at the Luxor. Our room was luxurious but we were sorry not to have coffee making facilities. (This is the only hotel in 30 we have stayed in recently not to have this.) Also it was very frustrating to have lengthy delays for check in /check out. We were disappointed not to be able to connect to the internet wired into the room even with our new Apple Laptop. It took some time but we eventually found out how to catch the Duece bus up the strip as the Luxor is a long way down from all the action of the Bellagio, Mirage & Wynn Hotels. The decor and artwork at the Luxor is truly amazing.
