Nice hotel wit Pizza Hut & Costa Coffee very close”
One could get hardly any accomadation in 1000 INR. But at Amar Yatri Niwas it was worth staying. i stayed for just a night. Cons were: Bed spacings, Warm water coming only morning & evening, inn house breakfast ok-ok. Overall in this budget it is one of the best.
This hotel is about 1km from the Taj Mahal, has big rooms and plenty of hot water. The staff are efficient and try hard, although can seem a little unfriendly at times. It is priced well for what you get-a clean, well managed hotel not far from the Taj. But get a room not facing the main road.
Good place to stay”
I have visited Agra many times and stayed in many Hotels. I must say Amar Yatri Niwas is one of the best hotels in this range. I stayed here for one day and I had good experience here. It is located in prime area, 1.5 km far from Tajmahal, Pizza Hut is just next to this hotel and Costa coffee in the same building. There are many good restaurants, handicraft showrooms and other shops nearby this hotel at walking distance. The best thing I liked about this hotel is the hospitality. Staff behaviour and service were excellent. We reached this hotel at around 10am and with welcome smile, they allowed us to check in to the hotel 2 hrs before the schedule time. Our room was nice and properly maintained. Hotel's restaurants food was also good. I recommend everyone to try Noorjahan ki Thali once. Overall our stay was very comfortable In one sentence, this hotel has all the good qualities a guest looks for. I highly recommend this hotel (Mughal room) to all class of visitors.
Close to the Taj but lacking in cleanliness”
The hotel's plus point is the proximity to the TAJ and the expressway. At first glance the hotel looks modern and updated but it has not been maintained well after its last renovation. There was hot water in the shower and our bedsheets had stains on them. Seemed like a place in decline but we were there just one night so were able to get by. The customer service was okay. We had paid for an extra bed in the room since there were 3 of us and there were prompt enough to bring when we checked into our room but the mattress was not very clean so we ended up sharing the double bed.
Great location but very small rooms”
location of hotel was ultimate ,locality was wonderful. but rooms size maintenance was very poor. bedding was dirty, bathroom was in very bad condition lot of changes required in that hotel.
Mughal Rooms are neat & clean”
stayed for 3 nights for agra trip. buffet breakfast and indian thali meals are cheaper and good
Good location with lovely hotel.”
The hotel gent. staff put me with the wrong room. But the lady can solved this problem with fast. Finally I think that its best value for money.
Great Hotel and location. Friendly staff”
Food was great, staff really friendly and helpfull. Location of hotel was excellent, would recommend this hotel highly.
affordable rooms at good location.close to the taj mahal, also rooms very decent with modern facilities
fantastic location, amazing service,”
very nice hotel, with a very good location, provides you a decent room at very affordable prices. it is a sister hotel to another 3 star hotel close by, hence the services are as good as that hotel. the laundry is done at the 3 star, hence you get clean sheets and towels.
Room is spacious”
We were 3 person visit India at that time. The lobby or receptionist counter looks small. The staff are polite. The best thing that I like to stay in this hotel is their food, the morning buffet style breakfast consider okay and the ala cart food is nice especially their curry.
Was ok and handy to Taj Mahal”
Was adequate and value for money but one night was enough . Resterant was fairly average.
Good location but staff always pushing for a tip!”
this hotel is in a good location, especially if you're missing a little bit of western home comforts!! the rooms are of a good standard, we upgraded from a standard to a delux room for only a couple of pounds more & it was definitely worth it. as a result you have a designated floor that looks a lot more luxurious. the rooms have all the mod cons & are comfortably appointed with new bathrooms fitted. the staff aren't too helpful & it is clear they are always pushing for a tip. it was hard to get rid of the boy that showed us to the room & continued to show us the hot tap from the cold tap (which is pretty self explantitory) we just found the staff let this hotel down.
Good location and serive”
The stay at the hotel is pleasent and would recommend it very much.
Will Not Stay in this hotel in any of my trips.”
on arriving, hotel ambience not so inviting.check-in staff were friendly.upon entering room & bathroom was not clean-had cigarette butts.room was kind of dinghy and was an immediate put off. had problems with the hot shower. called house keeping for help, staff came and went in withn his shoes on, went into the bathroom and left afterwards with the whole room floor wet and dirty with his foot prints.had to call them again to come and mop the floor. requested for hot water for drinking from room service, the guy came in, left the hot water flask, and left the room without any courtesy. have never experienced this before in all the hotels that we have stayed. breakfast was nothing fantastic- they just had bread, butter, jam, poorie and some potato curry. hardly any choice and the restaurant located at the 1st floor did not look like a restaurant but a "dhaba" (road side stall). will not recommend this hotel for those seeking a little more comfort, in a reasonably clean room, with at least some of the basic neccssities. by the way, if you are going during the cold season, you will have to let the water flow for at least 5 minutes before you actually get the hot water(they are using solarv water heaters as i was informed)
hotel was less than 10mins to taj and about 20mins to agra fort. all by rickshaw. the room was a bit small but was ok as we only sleep there. only bad was the towels provided. so u might want to bring towels. breakfast was simple, toast, eggs, fresh juice, coffee and some indian bread with curry. staff was helpful. only when u check in and some staff might help u bring ur bags upstairs, as normal in all hotels, tip. next to the hotel was a coffee shop, pizza hut, money changer and some souvenir shops. will be back in this hotel when in agra again!
Grat Location but small rooms”
Lower staff like waiters, receptionist was nice in behaviour but their superior was rude one. Location is great and every thing is reachable Room size was small, but clean.
Great location.1,5km walking distance to Taj Mahal”
Good place to stay, friendly staff, not to far to railway station and bus station.
Great Location but not friendly staffs.”
Great location and next to Pizza Hut which my kids love the smell from our rooms above.Nearby to the magnificient Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.Interesting places to shop for handmade carpets and inlay marble product from table top to chairs and marble coaster to marble jewelary boxes and beautiful souveniers made from marbles. The white replica of The Taj Mahal and indian costumes.
Pleasant stay with friendly management”
i had a pleasant stay at amar yatri niwas. the hotel is located just beside pizza hut and on the same building there is costa coffee. on the same road with 5 minutes of auto rickshaw ride you can reach pinch of spice restaurant, mc donalds and shopping malls. taj mahal and agra fort is 10 minutes auto rickshaw ride from hotel. i am totally satisfied with the hotel but i would like to suggest them to provide more food options in breakfast. they served bread, egg and few indian items.
Good location, central to Agra”
Kind of dark though, the lobby was not designed well, colors were clashing. You had to go down the stairs to enter the hotel, so entrance was somewhat hidden from street view. No double-lock on the doors, strange noises in the hallways. No window views, the windows were barred.
Good value for ond night stay in Agra”
the hotel offers good value for money. Not too close to the Taj Mahal so you need to take a taxi.
Location is suitable for business trip”
Location is near city, if business trip is good. Facility is too old to improve. Staffs are friendly and effective. Breakfast is too simply.
Great Hotel & Location”
This hotel I stay a night only. The breakfast is indian style but still ok. The room is small but very clean and bathroom is nice. Please
Most suitable hotel for Budget travellers in Agra”
One of the Amar group hotel. Same standard but lower class. I felt satisfied with the quality in comparison with the price.
one nighter because our preferred hotel was full. rooms fine. located between pizza hut and costa coffee - covers all bases! ok for the one night.
Dont exchange money at the rfont desk”
the hotel is not bad for this price range. where you only pay for the transaction fee at the forex exchange service center just located outside.
Great hotel with good price”
Value for money hotel but the food were expensive. Kingfisher beer 660ml is Rp60 and they selling around Rp230.
Amar Yatri Niwas Hotel”
the distance is far from taj, pizza hut & costa coffee is very near it,so that is good.service was nice, but room was too small, and don't v 24hrs hot water:((((its too bad!
So so experience - the staff is not helpful”
The staff is not very helpful and the overall environment is just so-so!!
15-20 min walk to taj mahal”
If you don't mind to either take a rickshaw or walk around 15-20 min to the Taj Mahal this hotel is a fine choice. Note that the rooms are not that cozy as shown on the pictures at the booking.
Great location, only 5 minutes drive to the Taj Mahal. The restaurant food was not that great but the hotel is located above a coffee shop and pizza hut was just next door. Overall an 'ok' stay especially for price. Air con in our room was super noisy.
It was nice hotel totally. can walk to Tarj mahal, Hot shower works, sheets was clean, Hotel clerk gave us perfect advice to our question.
This hotel was relatively cheap and we werent expecting much of a hotel. We were suprised at the quality of this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and had great views of the taj mahal! I would recommend anyone one a cheap budget to stay here and enjoy serenity! a +++ hotel!!
Hotel located in good location. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Clean bathrooms with ample hot water. Spacious rooms with connecting doors available. Poor view from windows. Rooms facing street noisy. Staff service is good and reliable. Staff friendly. Internet available at price.
Good experiance for a Budget traveller”
First we were given a small room though ours was a booking for superior room. However on objecting they gave a bigger room. Staff was friendly and gave a very early check in at no extra cost
Good No Frills Hotel”
Great room for a mid-range price in Agra”
From the map in my guidebook I thought that this hotel might be in the middle of a bustling commercial area, but actually it's more like a bubble on the side of a highway. There really isn't much of interest within walking distance, but there always seemed to be plenty of tuk-tuks available right outside. The lobby of this hotel is unpretentious, dark and calm. Internet access, which is offered through an aging computer in a room off the lobby, was not working the day I was there. The lift is quite small but I never had to wait very long. All the desk clerks and other hotel staff were friendly and helpful, including the porter who smiled and pointed me in the direction of my room when I emerged, disoriented, from the stairway. The guest room was a surprise: brightly lit, modern, and tastefully furnished. All the light switches and outlets worked, the bathroom sparkled, the bed was comfortable, and the powerful aircon was a welcome relief. Breakfast was served in a muggy, windowless, interior room. The staff were reluctant to turn on the floor-standing AC unit -- probably they were cold enough already -- but they did offer to turn it on when they saw I was uncomfortable. This hotel has no swimming pool, but the Amar Hotel, its big brother 100 meters along the road, allows non-guests to access their lovely outdoor pool for a fee, and Amar Yatri Niwas guests are offered a discount. The facility does not seem to be heavily used in the winter: On this occasion I was the only one there. In summary, my room at this hotel was the nicest of the hotel rooms I rented on my short visit to India. I was disappointed in the immediate area, but as I had hired a car it made no difference. For a medium priced room it was a very good value, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.
A recepção é eficiente e simpatica.
O hotel esta relativamente bem localizado, a recepção é ampla, e o pessoal é simpatico no atendimento. A simplicidade do hotel justifica o preço. O pessoal trocou rapidamente.
Amar Yatri Niwas Hotel”
