It was probably the best retreat. Thank you for the lovely stay. Will definitely come back for another retreat.
Fabulous hide away”
If you love nature, this villa will be your favorite. We love everything about the villa, the lush surrounding, peace and quiet...except some noisy asian tourists next door. There were some monkeys on the trees. The breakfast was good, though not too many selections but tasty. The only cons: bath towel, blanket and pillow ...they really really really need improvement and replacement. The wifi was good. We love everything about the villa
Extremely nice resort in the jungle forest. Stayed for 3 nights in a private villa with pool. Staff is very very friendly, breakfast is generous and of good quality. Main pool and other views are amazing. Only issue is that it is a few km away from the city center thus you need some type of transportation( we had scooters). Overall I would say is a 4+/5. Highly recommended
Bad experience and terrible stay never before”
I am a frequent traveller and this was the most terrible stay never before. Everythings in the hotel was run down and dirty. Bad condition toilet and leaking everywhere in the room ! Reached the lobby during heavy rain and requested umbrella for 6 of us , they are lack of umbrella for supply and the way to our villa was without cover walkway. Once we reached the room, we found that was leaking in the top room of villa. We made complaint and they send somebody to check for it and said will prepare additional bed to sleep in the living hall. For sure we refuse for such arrangement and request to change another 3 bed room villa. Finally we got transfer to another villa during the rain and the another villa was leaking too ! According to the staff, most of the rooms were leaking and they are facing several complaint. This was the first and last time we stay in this villa. Please refurbish and change everything in your villa and think twice for those who would like to book this stay !
Lovely quiet location”
It was amazingly peaceful here with the sound of the running river, the rainforest and the birds. With so few rooms you almost feel like the only guests! Plenty of monkeys around which the kids were so excited about. I’d say in its day this was a beautiful resort, it’s glory has faded a little and everything is just ready for a bit of maintenance. But everything was functional, the staff were lovely and helpful, and the peace and quiet made up for the fact it was a little rough around the edges. I was worried about the food options here as it’s quite isolated but the buffet breakfast was fabulous and all of the lunch and dinner menu items we tried were delicious filling meals. The shuttle service ran reliably into town so it was easy to also get some meals and supplies there. I was under the impression the 3 bed apartments had cooking facilities but there were just plates, cutlery and a small microwave & fridge plus a kitchen sink with no plug.
Excellent stay in a beautiful resort”
This is perfect if you want some time out to relax and chill, beautiful scenic location surrounded by rainforest and bush. Staff are outstanding and there is a spa and yoga available on site. They also offer a shuttle back and forth to Ubud several times per week. Would highly recommend and would return in a second. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Lost paradise in the jungle ”
Great vacation but it is far from the main city and it could be difficult to travel around Ubud without own transport. Nevertheless, there shuttle bus that goes to the Ubud and return several times a day. The bus is free to Anahata’s guests. But it wasn’t problem for us because of we didn’t want to leave our villa during stay here. Amazing jungle view. I suggest to get villa with private pool because of it is a great please to swim with such view.
Villa is great, Breakfast & dinner were well served, the Petanu River setting was great, quiet place, despite lots of mosquito
The position of this resort is a fair way out of Ubud central but it is absolutely amazing. Yes, the rooms are a bit tired but the surrounding jungle makes up for everything. It was absolutely perfect. And yes, there are ALOT of stairs .. everywhere. That was fine for me. The journey down to the river was awesome and a very kind staff member (?name) took me across it to sit in the waters further inside the rock forms. So glad I did it. I was surrounded by monkeys for a little while on way back to my room, they were a bit too close for me but one of the guys came to my rescue ! Sitting in the safety my pool watching them swing and play so high up in the tress was awesome. A few ventured onto my garden too, it was lovely. Breakfast was fine, as was room service. Nothing too fancy but suited me well. Staff were gorgeous. I had such a lovely time at Anahata and will certainly return.
Nice hotel with large room ”
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was nice. We simply love our 3 floors villa with private swimming pool. There are 2 rooms on the first level and 1 super big on the 3rd level. The facilities are good but it is just old and need to be renewed. The bed pillow and towel need to be replaced with new ones as well. Hope this hotel will get some renovation soon. The breakfast donot have many variations I think it just because of the guest capacity. Overall I love this hotel. I
the hotel is amazing, great value, rooms are really big and clean. we stayed at the gardens view room and we could see monkeys from our balcony. that was really cool. very peaceful place, food is ok, stuff was excellent, we will be back.
Amazing setting but could do with maintenance”
We were a group of 5 family staying in one of the 3 bedroom villas. The setting was amazing and it was a relaxing oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The villa however could have done with some maintenance. There was mould on the ceiling above the front door, we kept running out of hot water and a few other small issues. We enjoyed the breakfasts which had ood variety and was buffet style. On balance though, we enjoyed our stay.
A beautiful resort 15 minutes out of busy Ubud, very relaxing and peaceful. Lovely, helpful staff. ”
We almost felt like we were the only people staying at the resort it was so peaceful and quiet. The staff were all so friendly. The yoga classes from Friday-Sunday with Ayu were amazing. The love indulgence 2.5hr massage was absolutely worth it! The 7 days we spent there was wonderful.
We stayed for four nights in the resort and I must say that it was a very pleasant experience. The location of the resort is quite peaceful surrounding the rain forest and a river. Staff is very caring and keeps smiling always. However the resort requires some renovation and the breakfast should include more varieties. Special thanks to the staff for upgrading to a bigger villa on our request. Certainly would love to return.
Disappointed in a middle of beautiful nature”
This is our true comments for improvement of this hotel because we really like the hotel surrounding and we really believe that this could have been much more better than this right now. Actually we selected this hotel because it was surrounded by the fascinating nature. However, we found that the hotel is not giving proper justice to it. It seems to be a nice place before but not anymore. Hotel needs to be renovated fully. We found lot of places to prove it where floor tiles are broken, windows and doors are not polished for a long time, some of the metal bars are corroded, bad smell around the area etc. we ordered a villa with a pool for 5 days because we really wanted to enjoy the nature. But on the very first day it self some things really made us worried. There was an issue in the room bath area where the water was not draining quickly after using it and it took so long. By the last day it got worst where the water didn’t drain at all over the night even and it was like a pool. We informed them on the very first day about the bad smell and water draining issue but they didn’t have a room to give us so we decided to stay because we had already booked it and payed online. We didn’t want to go through any hassle. Talking about the staff of hotel.... well, it wasn’t a good impression they gave us at our first step. There wasn’t a warm welcome as if nobody cared and nobody was there to welcome the guest. Main dining area staffs need to be more with manners specially in front of guests as we observed them getting together and giggling, cracking jokes, laughing loud, singing. That’s really uncomfortable for the guests. However, overall I should say the staffs are really friendly and helpful. They provided a shuttle service to the city, but the last pick was at 17.30 from the city which guests do have to rush back and cannot enjoy the night beauty. Would have been better if it was extended till about 6pm or 7pm. Finally, there needs to be better variety in their
The Villa was fantastic! They upgraded our room and gave us a bigger villa. The location was incredible, overlooking the forest, very quiet and nice. The facilities were very good, restaurant, spa, transport. And the private pool was superb. We will certenly return.
Very nice staff, restaurant and service. I loved the location on the side of the valley but being on the wrong side of 80 years of age I (and my slightly younger wife) found the steep steps to our room and to the pool to be somewhat intimidating, and never did pluck up the courage to make it down to the river. The accommodation was, however, excellent, as were the meals and the excellent Resort shuttle service into and from Ubud.
Most incredible views”
The most incredible views and scenery you could ever expect to see at a hotel
Beautiful hotel overlooking a jungle , a steep ravine and a river. Its a peaceful hotel with wonderful staff. A shuttle bus travels into Ubud , bluebird taxi's charge about 100000RP return if you want a late night out. Loved this hotel.
I have been there late August, 2 nights.Anahata is a nice resort, but far from Ubud, which gives the ipportunity to feel like being in the middle of the nature far away from Ubud. It needs taxi to go anywhere from Anahata, negociations with taxis after 2 days were really tiring. Plus it is up a little high than the city, it always starts with the rain, so it you thinking abt going to the swimming pool in the morning a bit early before starting your day, just forget abt it, and in the morning it was cold and dark, better if they had lights in the swimming pool to see where you swim, to avoid beeing with a frog :) I felt like we didnt need a private pool villa, one standard room is enough especially if you are going to start visiting around a bit eary in the morning (9am) and back late. there is nowhere around where to have dinner, except the hotel restaurant. The staff are nice and helpfull people, rooms are clean
