Run down, old, falling apart ”
An old hotel with dirty rooms, pool, bathroom smells and bed sheets have stains. Asked for double bed, got 2 singles. Staff didn't care at all. AC was horrible, kept switching between blowing hot and cold air. Again staff didn't care. Don't stay here.
Comfy, clean and chilled ”
Great pool area nice to have a choice of different breakfasts. The area is nice and chilled but short walking distance to everything you need. Good room size, they are very clean and comfortable would feel happy as any type of traveller here, solo groups etc
Quiet and relaxing. Monkeys fun. ”
Decent spot for the price. Property is older and shows some signs of age, but this didn't bother us because it was clean and the staff were polite and the price was great. We had bungalow A101. It was quiet, nobody smoking or playing music nearby (you could hear some music from one of the bars at night but it wasn't too loud and my ear plugs easily buffered it). There were no weird smells like too much air freshener or anything bad like garbage or sewer. The wifi was a bit patchy in the room, but great in common areas. The monkeys are awesome and cute. They didn't bother us negatively at all. The only thing we would have changed is the pool had a bit of algae on the bottom, but on the second day the pool guys came to clean it... we really liked the location, away from the hustle of West Railay but still very close to everything. It is essentially on the beach. Eating our breakfast we were meters from the high tide, mangrove forest and long boats... very much worth a visit.
Beautiful and comfy stay”
We just had it all. Staff was really friendly, room clean, and full of every comfort, service good and excellent value for money. We also had a nice view, East Railay is definitely a more chilled place to stay compared to West, it's actually a perfect location as in the middle between West Railay and Phranang beach (our favorite one). Super recommend.
Railay is a bit more expencive than a lot other places because Railay is quite small as an area, not many accommodations. I would rate that this wasn't value for my money. They could take care a bit more of the plants and nature to make it more quaint. Bungalow was okay. Best thing about my stay was seeing the monkeys on my porch! That was cool that they allow them there and have given them a little water bath there. Absolutely a great moment and memory. An okay stay for one-two nights. Remember to not try and touch them or stress them out.
Middle range, moderate price and position ”
Do not take bungalows in the hotel. Other rooms are not bad. There is no spectacular views, but simple and clean rooms with basic service available. Food and transportation service is outside. There is no English on reception. Cheap and good restaurants are very close. West and PraNang beaches are in a walk distance.
If you expect the standard of a large cocohut with the bonus of aircon you’ll be happy here. Overall it’s pretty tired and in need of some TLC, but that’s why it’s £40 a night rather than double that.
I had a large comfortable room with all the facilities I needed, I loved the pool area surrounded by exotic foliage and the local wildlife passing by (daily visits of spectacled languar monkeys). If you stay here try to book one of the attractive bungalows. Solo travellers seem to get allocated rooms in a less attractive area closer to the front where there are small businesses and more noise. If I had realised that when booking I would have been happier to pay more as mine was a 9 night booking. Most people seemed to say a few nights before island hopping. Better facilities in this hotel than others that were there which I am sure cost more.
Pool towels should be provided to guests ”
We invited some friends to enjoy the pool during our stay. When we asked for pool towels, the staff replied that the room already comes 2 and refused to provide more for our guests which was embarrassing. I don’t understand why the rule is so struck if i already agree to be responsible for $500baht per town if it’s lost.
Budget hotel with good pool”
We were surprised at how basic the accommodation was especially after receiving an 'upgrade' upon checking in. Looking back It felt as though we had been given the bungalow because our rooms had been occupied by a wedding party. The room wasn't what we had booked and it felt below the standard explained to us. The doors didn't really lock and the shower was terrible. However with that said the pool was lovely and we made the most of our time there. For people travelling on a budget and looking to get their heads down it's perfect but don't expect luxury.
All the hotels in Railay are very lucky because there is too much demand and not enough rooms. Some of the hotels, like Anyavee Railay Resort, simply do not care about their customers because they know that tomorrow they will be another full occupancy day, no matter how bad a job they do. In my case I had injured my leg and yet the staff made zero effort to help me find my room in the maze that is the badly designed resort. I wandered around for 15 minutes in pain trying to find it. They shrugged as usual.
Value for money”
Stayed for four nights and enjoyed the swimming pool, location and clean rooms. Didn't enjoy the breakfast which was included (although we never have too higher expectations for these anyway.) Overall an enjoyable stay which was value for money.
Found the rooms ok for our purpose, for the price, pool was just about adequate, location good, staff good and very helpful, nice area and plenty of eateries within a short walk, beware, the boat taxi, they are sometimes expensive and overall the area was expensive, overall was ok and some good day trips on offer, even if a tad expensive, plenty of shops too, but yes, you guessed, expensive for the basics ,
Ok hotel with nice staff”
Staff was very nice, but the facilities were not in line with the price. Shower did not have any warm water, air conditioning was broken at first, and the bathroom in general was very old and not up to par.
Highly recommended hotel”
I really liked this hotel that was better than l expected based on customer reviews l read prior to staying at Anyavee. The room and the general property are spacious, the pool nice, the AC working very well, a large balcony facing west, good shower. The staff was respondent to all our questions. The toilet got plugged once for no reason but someone came in and fixed it within minutes. However, the wifi was spotty, constantly on and off. The facilities looks a tiny bit worn out compared to other new neighboring resorts, could use a little facelift, but that didn't bother me at all. The towels were a bit smelly and need to be updated. Other than that, highly recommended hotel.
Didn’t like the hidden dirt and lack of functionality ”
My booking was complicated apparently since I booked for two ( I arrived at 2pm) and my friend at 9pm due to late plane. Evening staff was lovely though and made sure he found me. Even carried his case!
Budget hotel, bungalow is not worth the money”
Got a bungalow for two thousand five hundred baht, def not worth the money. Bathroom windows were open vents, allowing mosquitos and other insects to fly inside freely. Old and not the cleanest. Would not stay again.
Great location on east Railay. Bungalows are so cute and clean. Ac was great. Pool was crystal clear. Staff very nice. Arrive to east Railay easily via Ao Nammao Piet (shuttle to pier is easy to catch from airport). This takes you straight to east Railay with the floating pier.
That was totally good choice! :) ”
When we take into advantage price and living conditions we totally reccommend to you this hostel because of: - good location - comfortable, clean, wide and light room - very kind personel (they borrowed us some helpful kitchen staff) and helpful to make trip decisions - free drinking water and cleaning - one day monkeys were running on our rooftop and sat at nearby tree we could take nice pictures though
Quite expensive but that’s Raillay”
Good staff, well located on the East side. Lots of monkeys and two types which is cool for kids and for us. Careful with your food but its normal they are monkeys. Rooms are good but nothing fancy
