Good value in interesting location ”
Hotel is away from the crowd and located in between Hiro-O and Roppongi (7mins walk). The hotel is surrounded with many interesting cafes and restaurants. Good value and typical Japanese size room for the budget.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the APA HOTEL〈Nishi-Azabu〉and for your time to share your experience. What a great feedback we have received here, thank you so much for valuable comment. We certainly hope you will choose to stay with us again on your next visit to Tokyo. Clerk Kitagawa
value for money”
visiting tokyo is always a pleasure and being there on business, one must find value for money and convenience and this is exactly what you get at this location. with easy access by bus and subway, this is a great location. Rooms are tiny but that is the tokyo norm. breakfast is a nice cozy touch. the basics are what you get here and thats what you pay for. Surrounding locations give access to roppongi hills and amazing food all around. would def stay again ...
good value for the money in downtown Tokyo”
Conveniently close to Shibuya and Roppongi. Hiro-o metro and Roppongi Station are both about 500 m from hotel. Nice shopping and views from Roppongi Hills tower near by. I often stay here when I am in Tokyo.
very nice value”
This hotel is ideally located close to Tokyo night life and the Hibiya metro line. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are a little small, but clean. This hotel is a very good value for the location.
Very comfortable, relaxing, convenient.”
Very nice and I would definitely stay here again. Good neighborhood ; close to Hiroo shopping area and Arisugawa Park. Subway ride away from the lovely Azabu Juban area which has many good shops and restaurants. One subway stop to get to Yamanote Line.
Ideal location ”
Great hotel ! Centrally located , clean , reasonable easy to find hotel. The room is small But to be expected in Tokyo . I booked through agoda got a great deal... 7-11 opposite so breakfast sorted I would certainly Stay there again
Breakfast is wonderful. Staff are great at helping me with directions. I left my phone the last time I stayed, they got it back to me in a very short time. I appreciate their helpfulness.

excellent business hotel chain”
small rooms but same price as some capsul hotels.
Fine for 1 night”
Room is too small for a suitcase, that’s the problem for a traveller. Breakfast was so expensive. Very clean, great location.
Hotel is central to our requirements however the rooms are very very tiny, no room to swing a cat. Have to almost go out of the room to turn around, no facilities for storage. Not sure if we would stay there again. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily. 7 out of 10
Very disappointing stay”
We knew the room was going to be small but this was a ridicously small bed and room, and the room was also baking hot and had awful air conditioning which meant it never cooled down. We left after one night because we could not stay there. We found a slightly more expensive hotel (Shiba Park Hotel) which was much better quality, much larger room and bed and had much more helpful staff.
We love the location of the hotel.. Its centrally located near the train station, eateries and mall.”
The only setback about this hotel is its room space.. we had to squeeze in our huge luggages. If only the room can be bigger, it will be an excellent choice! And as for the television.. I wished the volume can be set higher..
This is a really good hotel to stay at if you are going to Roppongi for the night. It is a 5 minute walk to the Hiro-o station or a 15 minute walk to central Roppongi. At the time I only paid just over one hundred dollars for the room, so price wise it's cheap for the area. The rooms are very small and the bed does take up most of the room, but the beds will fit two people. There isn't much space to store your bags, so you can't really plan to stay long, but if your in the area for just one or two nights it's perfect for just having a backpack. The staff at the front desk spoke a lot of English and can tell you how to get around. I got a non-smoking room and didn't have any issues with it. At the end of the day it is a cheap hotel, so don't expect anything special, but if you are partying in Tokyo you won't be spending much time in your room anyways.
Easy, comfortable and clean accommodations ”
Better than I expected. I only spent one night, and couldn't get an early check in (check in is at 3pm, you can check In early with a surcharge), but they gladly held my luggage at the front desk so I could go walk around. Wifi is fast, and free. They had little bathroom toiletries in case you forgot yours. Black out curtains, bathrobes and slippers. It was minimal, but it was very clean.
Reasonable price superb location ”
I have stayed for 8 nights at APA Hotel Nishiazabu during my visit to Tokyo this time. The hotel is within 3 minutes walking distant from Hiroo Station and about 10 minutes walk to stylish Roponggi area. Though I could only afford and therefore booked for a single room, I was given a nice surprise with huge double bed. APA hotel provides guest with mineral water everyday which is highly appreciated. I have also received one hour coupon check out coupon. One will never get bored staying near Roppongi area which is within walking distant to nice Japanese Restaurants as well as Italian. There are also plenty of nice coffee shops and select shops. For those who loves Japanese food I would also like to recommend Azabu jyuban area which is also within walking distant from APA hotel. My stay has been so pleasant that I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.
Affordable hotel in a great location”
Stay was wonderful: really affordable place to stay in Roppongi; clean, comfortable rooms; and helpful staff. Rooms were small, but highly functional. Don't go there to lounge around in the room all day, stay there to have a home base while you explore the city. Large, beautiful park and awesome local restaurants nearby - walkable distance to subways and less than $10 to take a taxi to nearest train station (or walk). We would definitely stay again!
Convenient and easy-access to subway”
great things are the location--close to subway and EBISU & SHIBUYA station serenity of the surrounding and the area. We can walk to Roppongi Hill in just 10 minutes and to Omotesando Hill in about 15-20 minutes time.
Good with wonderful Japanese cuisine”
The hotel is a 8 minute walk to the Metro station. I think it's convenient as its near Ebisu, Shibuya and Shinjuku. However, it doesnt provide much services. For example, the air-con is switched to warm so you must open the window to let air passes into the room. If not, the room is very very hot. But it's quite bad that sounds coming from outside is noisy.
Clean, comfy and nifty room”
Overall, our stay in the hotel was memorable. In terms of location, it is very near Roppongi Hills and the Hiro-o station. At night, the environment is very quiet and homey, yet we are close to the nightlife of Roppongi (about 3 blocks from the party area). Restaurants and convenient stores are accessible from our hotel. The lobby smells good and clean; the staff are very accommodating and polite. Room was well designed with huge tv and a small bed good for two. The staff was also very prompt in cleaning our room. We had an easy time checking-out. I'm happy with our APA Hotel NishiAzabu and would recommend it to my friends and family
Not good for large baggage”
The hotel is actually located near Hiro-o station which is good, however the station exits have no lifts, only staircases so I strongly do no recommend travellers with massive luggage to stay there. Other than that the hotel was piecemeal and pretty nice to stay in.
We are a traveling married couple. We would recommend the APA Hotel Nishiazabu if and only if you are not planning to spend much time in your room! However, the room we stayed in was tiny (at least by Western standards). An average-sized male standing up can spread his arms and touch both walls. There was hardly any room to put down our bags and move around. However, we would like to emphasize that there was nothing “wrong” with our stay, and, in fact, we enjoyed ourselves very much overall. The staff was friendly, spoke English well, and the hotel itself was clean and fairly well-kept. It worked out well, because we were out all day sightseeing and only returned to our room to sleep at night. There is good Wi-Fi in the rooms but no CNN/BBC available (only Japanese programming) on the TV. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. It is a pleasant 10-minute walk to Hiro-o Station, which is close to the Roppongi neighborhood of Tokyo.
This hotel is a bit on the old side and could definitely use a face lift. I felt the price was a bit much to ask for the accommodations, but overall it was clean, the staff was friendly and it served its purpose.
This is a typical apa hotel around Roppongi, nice and clean. Actually it is somehow closed to the Hiroo station and there is a bus which would go to the Narita Airport every one hour form Roppongi Hill. It is very convenient to stay herefor a short stay in Tokyo.
good location and service. small but clean rooms”
very good location, accessible from both shibuya and roppongi for about 1000yen by taxi, or 15-20 min by foot. room was very clean and had everything you need. however it was extremely small, just enough to step in and get on the bed. so not a good choice for a long family stay, but ideal for a short business trip.
Great customer service for a reasonable price”
The room is comparatively small. but all the facilities a business type hotel you name it, they got it.5 mins walk to the Hiroo Metro station. I recomment this great place for short stay business persons.
This hotel is conveniently located and very good value for money. Hotel staff are friendly, but dont expect a great deal of English! This hotel is within walking distance of Roppongi, which is one of the nightclub/entertainment areas of Tokyo, as such, for the price, this hotel is a great place to stay if in Tokyo to party!
Great location but small rooms”
the room had clean linen and nice furniture. however, there was a musty smell at first so i turned on the air cleaner and sprayed the air/material freshener that was provided in the room and the smell was gone. it was nice and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. the view at night was fabulous. i appreciated the well light road to the subway and the convenience of stores and restaurants nearby.
Good location, good service, little old”
The location is great(If you're Roppongi orientated), only few minutes walk from Roppongi station. Very quiet. Price is a little high for the shape of the hotel. They could need new wallpapers and carpets. But I guess the price is normal for this area.
I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. The location is far from train stations, nearest is Hiro-o at 650m!!! Imagine walking to the hotel with heavy luggages!!! The room is very, very, very small!!! 8106yen is not worth it and that is without breakfast. If you eat breakfast in this hotel you will regret it. Everything is expensive and the food is not that attractive with only a few choices. You can only use this room for sleeping. There is no cable TV. If you want to watch a movie, pay 1000yen and you can only select few English movies. If you have children, supervise the remote. They are offering porn movies!!! TF?!?!?! The staff can barely understand English. There is nothing much they can do to the point that they cannot help you with airport transfers. the only good thing that happened to me here is that 7-11 and AEON Grocery is right across the hotel. If you want to enjoy in Tokyo to the fullest better book in AIR BnB!

Close by Roppongi Hills and train station. Great!
very good value for the price”
Rooms are small as is typical for Tokyo, but the hotel is very conveniently located and the staff are very helpful.
point. We are close from the Hiroo station (5 minutes walking), and also Roppongi Hills is within walking distance. We are glad that you found our staff very helpful. We appreciate your feedback and try to improve our service better according to your comment. Hope to see you again soon! Reception: Kobayashi
Emergency check in”
Before i stay here...i already book other place. But the place i book was cancel. Very sad. I see agoda have last minute deal. I see this hotel. And i book. Thanks APA HOTEL and agoda.
Good place for take a rest”
Great location ”
My stay here was fantastic. the staff was very thoughtful considerate and friendly
Stay was great as was the hotel staff”
My stay here has been acceptional. The staff are very pro-active and the location couldnt have been better
Near Train Station”
Near main train station as we were travelling to Kyoto. Small rooms, clean , functional as you would expect for Japan. Would recommend...
Convenient , friendly service. Got what I wanted”

Good location but minimal service, apppreciated the bottles of water.”
We wanted to be near Hiro-o so location was good. But that was about all that was positive about this hotel. When we first checked in, we were told all they had left were smoking rooms. Only after showing our reservation confirmation indicating non-smoking room did they manage to find one. The room was TINY--barely enough room to get around. When checking out, I asked for help hailing a taxi cab to the airport but was told I should do it myself or else it would cost me 700 yen for them to do it.
Nice price, stayed twice”
Great neighborhood! I recommend this hotel for location. It's a typical small room, but in a nice quiet and international neighborhood. Hiro has a lot to offer, and this is the best hotel to get to know the area.
The exereince was horrible. The experience I had there was something I never had in my life. I asked for an extended check-out the night before my check-out. I called the front desk and was told by the employee that for 1000 yen I could get an extended check out to 3 pm. At check out I was told, surprisingly, that it was 3000 yen and I had to check out at 2 pm. I told them their must be an honest mistake or misunderstanding because the employee told me something different the evening before. They told me that there was a booklet in the room and that they would not take less than 3000 yen. I told them why would I double check what the employee told me. That it would be reasonable for a guest to call the front desk and rely on the information given from the front desk. Ultimately, we were taking about $25 dollars. You would think the hotel would work with the guest as it was a nominal amount and there was an honest misunderstanding. Well, that is not what happened. Unbeknownst to me they called the police and strong armed me for the $25. It was one of the most bizarre and horrible experiences I ever had. The police took my ID and passport. I was treated like a criminal. And for what?? Because the hotel staff gave me incorrect information and there was an honest misunderstanding. I could not even speak to the police because they could not speak English. They just made me feel like I was going to get take to the station. It was a truly horrible, unnecessary, and disgusting experience. After they strong armed me for the $25, they had me escorted out of the hotel. Way to take responsibility for their hotel staff giving the guests inaccurate information. It was a scary and terrifying experience especially over $25 dollars. This hotel should be ashamed to treat people like this. Stay away from this hotel. Horrible and cruel people work there.
There was black mold in the shower. I asked for a change of room and they moved me to another small room with less black mold in the shower. The rooms smelt old and musty and, wreaked of cigarette smoke as if it were stained in the walls.
You get what you pay for...”
The hotel is a typical hotel with rooms you need to squeeze into. When we checked in, the bathrooms still had hair from the previous guest, and tubs don't drain well due to the inadequate plumbing. We had two rooms for a family of four. We barely squeezed into the rooms which barely fit a full size bed, desk and tv. Impossible to move around without bumping into each other. Biggest gripe is that you can hear everything outside your door. We had a few guests that were extremely noisy at midnight, and others that insisted on having loud conversations at 7am. Needless to say, we were very irritated. The staff were ok, and , they're known for their customer service. It is a good deal, and we'd peobably return despite the gripes.
It had a*Pomfortable high-quality bed, free wifi internet, and a good location not far from Roppongi - only complaint is shower was just barely tall enough for me at 6'3" (191 cm) and there was some faint smell of previous smokers - i should have asked for a non-smoking room. Also this stupid website requires me to rate the food "required field" even though I didn't eat there. Wake up Agoda web developers.
Terrible - don't bother! ”
The room was tiny, but this is expected in Tokyo! Was is unexpected in tokyo was a dirty bathroom with mould all over the ceiling and the smell of cigarettes. A very disappointing experience, especially as every where wakes in Japan is so clean and beautiful.
Hotel trys to extract a fee for checking in early ”
Bad, very small rooms such you can hardly move in the room. The hotel tries to extract a fee for a normal check in. They want you to pay and early fee for a normal check in to other hotels. This Hotel does nothing to make you feel good
Suitable for single traveller”
We were staying here for 3 nights. The room has limited space. Once you put your luggage you were hard to find a way to walk. It was suitable for someone who just looking for a place to sleep with a very reasonable price.
The hotel smelled terribly and was very compact. ”
Don't do it!!! Worst money I have ever spent. I got there and no took about three taxi drivers to find the hotel though it said it was 1.43 miles from the center of ripongi. To make matters worse it stunk very badly like a skunk died on every floor. Then when I got in the room I literarily had to walk sideways because it was so compact. Which by any standards any other hotel would be better than this.
average room but very very cramped space ”
it was probably the smallest room i have every stayed in but for the price and it being tokyo it was livable. overall it was clean and suited its needs but it was def a no frills hotel and they didn't even allow any kind of special considerations like (early check in etc)
super small room i even couldn't open my luggage.”
The room realllllly small. I've been to Tokyo for many times and i tried many hotels. this one is smallest one! i even couldn't open my luggage! and also the reception doesn't really speak english. i was out for party with friends, my mom stayed in the room alone, but she docent speak english so i made a call to the hotel told them I'm stay at which room, i need u to send a bottle of water for me. and they don't understand. my mom kept telling me she doesn't get the water and she was really thirsty. i called third even fourth times. at the end they still didn't send the water for my mom. really bad. if u r backpacker maybe its a good choice for u with good price. otherwise, if with family or big luggage, thats not a good idea.
Smallest room in Tokyo, Terrible staff, Lacking”
Poor. Check-in is at 3pm and wouldn't allow check-in at 2:30pm. Wanted to charge me extra for this. No iron/press, they told me to go buy one. Terrible staff attitude. Expensive and very average breakfast. Smallest Toyko hotel room ever.
it was a good stay”
my stay at the APA Hotel Nishiazabu was alright. the lobby is quite nice - it looks quite fancy. the room is better than rooms around the same area since the lights are so bright, which is nice. it's a little bit expensive comparing with rooms at the same area though. the size of the room is regular just like any other japanese hotels' down town. so I'm not sure if the price of it is worth it. but if you doesn't care that much about the money, it could be an economic nice place to stay.
Great price, close to metro, small rooms”
5 convenience stores are just within steps. Rooms are very small for big luggage. You can hear neighbours and people on the hallway. If your floors has a vending machine, you can hear the cooling fan all night, which can be annoying. Very friendly staff and it's close to Hiroo metro station, which is very close to either Roppongi or Ebisu. However, it costs 160 just to travel to Ebisu via Metro, so you might need to factor this into your consideration. There is also no elevator at Hiroo station, so think twice if you have big luggage or a baby stroller. The rooms are small but clean. However, the towels stank for some reason.
Near 7-11 and train station”
The location quite ok. Near 7-11 and trainstation. Staffs are friendly. The room look clean but have some dust in the carpet. I stayed in small double bed room suit for 1 person, not 2 persons and have internet even Wifi or Lan line.
Generous Hospitality evident in room amenities ”
Comfortable and relaxed. Was surprised at the availability of wi fi in every room. Super large TV in a small room! Amenities such as the hot water pot for coffee or tea made it comfortable when hungry in the middle of the night. Lobby is small and does not accommodate too many people waiting to check in so Agoda should verify the check-in time. It was 3pm not 2pm. Staff was very accommodating re luggages left behind in the lobby area. Not too many coffee shops nearby but the 711 across the street is very well stocked.
Not for two people”
Not suitable for couples. Not particularly convenient to public transport or sights. Room much too small for two people. Would barely work for single occupant. No closet, shelves, drawers, or safe. Minimal hanging space. Internet okay. Good Indian restaurant next door. No breakfast or restaurant. Marginal air conditioning - okay for fall, but would not be adequate for summer.
Typical business hotel chain with amenities”
I booked here to be close to Roppongi so I could stay out late and not worry about the last train. Only about a 10-minute walk from there, and 5 minutes to subways. As expected from the APA chain, all business hotel amenities were provided and the room was very small but clean. Great for resting after city outings. Always a good budget choice!
Friendly helpful staff but very small room.”
Checked in with very friendly helpful front desk agent. The hotel is a basic service hotel with a restaurant in the lobby. Hotel room was very small had to move luggage rack to open front door or bathroom door. Housekeeping is excellent and rooms are kept very clean.
Expensive for what you get.”
Compared to other similar hotels in Japan, the bathroom to my room was a little dirty. There was a bit of mould around the shower. The hotel lobby and my room also smelt unpleasant. A bit disappointing for the price I paid.
Convenient location, nice staff, but old looking”
Very convenient location, staff was friendly at checkin. Rooms are small but were clean, except for the bathroom. It looked like the bathroom hadn't been given a good clean in a long time (having said that maybe I was just unlucky with the room I got). All in all I would stay there again.
Nice location hotel”
I stayed at this hotel for a week for my business trip. The rate was reasonable for the location. Only 5 min to subway statiion. Check in was very smooth and easy. The room was nice and clean. The A/C was set for little too hot but the window opened to let fresh air in, so it was no problem. The hotel served breakfast on the property, but there were many alternative such as family restaurant, delis, coffee shop, and convinience stores. The stuff was nice and helpful. When I go back to Tokyo for business, I'll go back again.
Close to nightlife”
the rooms were very small but that's standard for tokyo hotels! the hotel is located very close to big nightlife area but still on a quiet street. we stayed here just for one night so didn't experience the breakfast which seemed pricey and not included. also wifi not included in price!
Small rooms but friendly staff”
This hotel had extremely small rooms. The bed took up about 75 percent of the room. The bathroom is really tiny and the door into the bathroom opened outward and almost touched the wall on the opposite side. The mattress wasn't that bad, but still pretty hard. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The nearest station is Hiroo station which is like a ten minute walk.
Economical and simple hotel”
Pros: It was nice and simple. I like the free water APA hotel gives you if you simply follow the eco-disposal garbage. Thank you. Cons: It would be nice if the inside of the refrigerator was cleaned more.
Good location, poor amenities and service”
This hotel skimps on everything and disguises it under the name of being "ECO friendly." It was rather annoying. Unless you request it they won't clean the room and don't change bed sheets when they do. The refrigerator is turned off when you arrive and takes a long time to cool down making it useless at first. Everywhere they are signs explaining how this is "ECO friendly", but it seems like big cost cutting on their part without passing along any savings (the cost of the hotel wasn't good for what it was.) The carpet in the hallway and the room had big stains on it, making it look dirty and cheap. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service which was a real pain. I asked the lady at the front desk if she could call me a taxi and she said she would have to charge me, so I went outside and hailed one my self. I expect a little more for $130/10,000 yen night. I'm all for being environmentally friendly, but this hotel is simply going on the cheap, not finding good ways to provide a good experience, and I was rather annoyed at all of the "ECO" related signage (excuses.) I give this hotel a poor rating and won't stay there again. このホテルはよくなかったです。
Great location but small rooms”
really very small rooms, expensive for the size of the room.. check out could have been a bit later too. no reason to be kicked out at 10am. otherwise, unremarkable stay. good location but a bit far from the subway station.
