Cheap good location but not the best”
Dear traveller, Be careful booking Bhuwana hotel if planning a short holiday in Bali. May be good idea for a long stay due to its cheaper price. - very poor condition of the mattress - no iron in the room. Available on request but probably whole property has 2 irons to be used between all guests. Iron given to us was very bad and did not work properly - infects and spider Webb were a part of if as is a natural resort, so if you like to be in mid of a jungle don’t book this one - sofas in the room are past their end of life, not comfortable at all. - very poor quality towels provided, please bring your own towels if you prefer that way. - first room we got, had cockroaches on floor and bed side table drawers. To the Bhuwana Hotel, above are the points to improve if you like. With a bit of money to be spent, your property can really be a 5 star...pleAse pay attention to small details like above.
Too quiet, pool hour too short.
Amazing Hotel with a Soul ”
the hotel is a very beautiful, Rooms are nice and clean, staff are great, it is good on most of the standard points, above all the hotel has an Amazing garden, simply stunning, I could set there for hours and I will never be bored, thanks Bhuwana for the memories and the beauty.
I love everything about Bhuwana. Started from my first email to their Reservations, the staff name Hana was always prompt when replying my queries. On arrival day, Nia, at the reception counter was pleasant and she explained in details about the hotel before giving the room key. She also arranged the scooter rental for us. During our dining, Eza, was good too. Although she was alone taking all the orders, serving the food and cleaning up the tables, she did her best, politely and always smiling. Even the Chef did a good job. The culinary was fantastic. Nice plating and the food taste good. I love it and I started loving eating Bali's brown rice! During check-out, Yudik, the bellboy was also very helpful. The check-out process was smooth. I totally agree with their tagline 'Healthy. Tranquility. Nature'. I love the environment. Peaceful, quite and clean. I enjoyed swimming in the pool. I had my massage at their Kedaton Spa. Chosen the "Tension Relief" massage and it was great. I highly recommend this hotel especially to Muslims as this hotel is a smoke & alcohol free hotel and they serve halal food. Although the location is not in the heart of Ubud town, you can easily moving around by scooter. My sincere and special thanks to all the names that I have mentioned and also to each and every one in Bhuwana. Please keep up the positive vibes. Thumbs up!
Extremely nice & beautiful hotel”
Bhuwana is newly opened hotel in Ubud. We are a bit spetical booking into a newly opened hotel. However, Bhuwana proved to be a good choice. The hotel still under construction when we stayed there in Sept. But the construction work never once disturb the peace and environment in the hotel. This is an excellent hotel for holidays makers who wishes to escaped the busy town of Kuta. The sunrise in the morning overlooking the paddy field right in front of the hotel was amazing. Overall, we liked the hotel very much. The room is large, comfortable, the food is great and the swimming pool is perfect. Highly recommended.
Beautiful gardens, amazing fresh food, lovely staff!”
We stayed at Bhuwana for four days and it was one of our highlights. The place is set on a beautiful gardens full of organic fruits and vegetables. The rooms were clean and the staff lovely. I wish we could have extended our stay and we will definitely be back. It's probably quieter than other hotels but that suited us. We just wish we had a DVD player or movies we could watch at night when the kids went to sleep.
Beautiful landscape, staffs were wonderful and accommodating and friendly. Quiet location.
Good value for money”
It was convenient as it was in the middle of Ubud but still quiet inside the hotel. It was not as clean as I wanted but wasn’t bad either.
Really peaceful stay ”
Really nice hotel, surrounded by rice field, the staff is amazing and everything is really clean. The only pro is that it’s a little bit too far from the center, but I really enjoyed it and they have a shuttle :)
Quite dissappointing w.r.t high price”
The room is large, clean but not too good (no security box, much mosquito, no hair-dryer -- I need to go to receptionist to request hair-dryer). Wifi is really bad (almost out of internet during 2 days here). Swimming pool is good. Restaurant is quite good. The place to see rice field is not good. Staff is friendly and nice. The view of this hotel is like a resort (inside a large garden) and suitable for rest only, not for travellers who want to go many places in Ubud/Tegallalang (because quite far from these destinations).
Hospitality, food and cleanliness wise were excellent, but the place is too old.. Facilities are breaking down.. And it's in the middle of nowhere, wanted to leave that night for some other hotels but since uber and grab are not operating in ubud I just had to stay but Will never come back again.
Great and amazing ”
Love our stay in this hotel. Friendly staff and good breakfast mostly the fruits, veggies are all fresh from their garden. You could walk and everywhere you see there will be fruits or veggies that the hotel have and used as their landscape. We saw rambutan, mangosteens, mango, banana, tomatoes, jackfruit, oranges and a few other more. Tried the spa and it was good. Could have been better tho. Would definitely come back if I have the chance. Thank you bhuwana ubud.
Wonderful Hotel, Super Staff”
Beautiful gardens, situated in rice fields. Nice rooms, though not super luxury. Organic vegetables grown on property. Balinese owned, which is a plus because it contributes to local economy. Most luxury hotels here owned by wealthy investors from Jakarta or abroad. The hotel is well-located for excursions outside of Ubud. I would definitely return again.
Clean, quite and value for money”
The room is clean, the staff are friendly and this hotel is very comfortable to bring family with children. Th hotel also offered spacious land for walking around to feel green and clean environment, located next to rice field and ubud village
If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place for you. The grounds are just beautiful, there sometimes feels like there is more staff than guests and few cute kittens. Shuttle bus goes every 2hrs and is about a 15min trip into the main town.
Enjoyed my stay at Bhuwana! Made my solo travel much easier.”
I spent 5 days at Bhuwana. I liked the rooms in first floor rather than the second floor rooms as the first floor rooms have easy access to hotel facilities and much comfy. The staff were so helpful and assisted with my requests. I requested to change my room from the second floor to first floor, they relocated me into very nice room in the first floor. Pool was awesome. I have to say that the food was expensive and was not that good . So i had been eating outside the hotel. You can easily find delicious and reasonably process food in the Ubud center. Bhuwana is located 15 mins far from the Ubud center. But they offer free shuttle bus to drop off and pick up. So i did not feel like i was away from the crowd. I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were so great.
Great off season deal, beautiful grounds and pool area, a short walk from town. ”
The rooms are huge and clean and the bed was comfortable (and big). I got an offseason deal: $27USD per night. This did not include breakfast. Instead they charge a flat 100k rupiah for any breakfast. No a la cart items. Breakfast wasn't good (taste or portion size) and Bhuwana is a 20 minute walk to town. To wake up and have a pool/spa day or relax on the hotels grounds was made difficult by the double priced, half-as-good morning meal options. One day I just ordered a smoothie instead, another day I walked into town early for yoga and incredible breakfast. Once I grabbed snacks at the grocery store the night before. Drawbacks: my shower drained more slowly than it flowed, filling my bathroom with water several times. Annoying. The shuttle runs every 2 hours but doesn't begin til 10a. The front desk charged me for call to a restaurant. you will find no benefit to paying the high taxes and fees: Bhuwana will nickle and dime you for everything.
I had a wonderful time. Staff were friendly & attentive. The main thing about staying at Bhuwana is expecting that its quiet & not close to monkey forest road and the city. if you're looking for a place with beautiful scenery (Rice fields, amazing sunrise views, and tropical greenery everywhere) this is the place for you! Hotel appears a bit dated, but is well maintained and clean. Breakfast was good & the pool is nice to escape to!
Big smiles among the fruit trees”
We loved our stay at Bhuwana. The hotel has beautiful grounds - loads of fruits trees in a jungle setting - and the employees were so friendly with big smiles and lots of time for our little boy. The pool was great too - big, clean and with as awesome shallow part for toddlers (came up to our son's shoulders so he could walk around a bit and play). The hotel is out of the centre (which makes it nice and quiet and green) but there is a shuttle service into town every 2 hours, which is conveniant and reliable. Overall a really nice stay.
We had a lovely week at this friendly modern hotel set next to rice fields in beautiful landscaped garden. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud to get some peace, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service into Ubud every hour, so no need to use taxis. Our week was at the end of a month long tour of Indonesia and hotel Bhuwana was a luxurious way of ending our trip. The pool was impeccably clean and we had it to ourselves mostly, the spa offered all sorts of beauty and health treatments, the massages were great at the end of the day !
