Great beachfront property with snorkelling straight out front”
We had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The facilities were fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful, and the snorkeling is straight off the beach, not boat trip required. We were very impressed with the hotel's environmental credentials, including a free water refill station in the restaurant. The simple but tasty buffet breakfast was a winner too.
Wonderful place for relax”
Great villas with open air bathroom, beautiful garden and black-sand beach. Snorkeling is amazing.
Little Paradise North of Bali”
Had a Bungalow (4 beds) next to the sea. Beautiful, comfortable and fantastic Suba diving or snorkling at 5-10m from the beach! Really great - all of us did not want to go home anymore... it says it all! Only problem - if you check out early - check out the night before. Nobody is at the reception early morning! I was told, that this happens frequently and might affect your return to the Airport...
i stayed in the deluxe villa. the villa's are a little dated but very clean and comfortable an well maintained. the gardens throughout the resort are beautiful and the resort is beach front. there are several places to eat within walking distance, freshly caught seafood is the go and very reasonably priced.
We loved our stay at Coral view. The staff is competent and nice. The location is amazing with a beautiful garden. The restaurant serves good, refined, fresh and local foods. The rooms and bungalow are clean. The bathroom is gorgeous. The hotel cares for ecology. They dont provide straws for example. We had a wonderful time. Thank You.
Relaxing villa in snorkelling heaven”
Coral View satisfied all our needs. We stayed in a beachfront 2 storey villa for five nights and would definitely go back. Villas are lovely and clean with fabulous outdoor bathroom. Restaurant on site is excellent. Sandy beach out front is great for swimming and snorkelling to the right is superb. This is our second time to Lipah and we recommend to all our friends as the place to stay on the Amed coast. Recommend having own transport to make the most of all the bays and the shipwreck snorkelling/diving.
Amazing rooms and view”
Absolutely loved this place. The rooms had the best view. The only downfall is there is not a lot to do besides snorkel and scubadive. Options for food was also limited. Great place to relax and enjoy the beach.
Not great first impressions !!!!!!!!!!!!”
They say first impressions count!! Well they aren’t great for coral view you walk into a dark dreary reception greeted by not very happy staff. The restroom consists of a toilet that is almost hanging off the wall and towel rail broken. Our room wasn’t quite ready so we sat by the pool which is nice enough with lots of loungers. However had our room have been ready when we got there we would have turned around and walked straight back out to find alternative accommodation. The room is as dark and drab as the reception area and the windows and doors looked like they had been taped shut at some point and all the paint had been ripped off. There were countless dead bugs splattered on the walls and we were later to discover squashed bugs on the bed linen for the extra bed which our daughter was to sleep in!! Paint peeling off of walls and no working outside light at front door. Only friendly lady staff member in restaurant. Give this place a wide berth!!! Needs modernisation badly!!
Relaxed holiday by the sea”
Cute bungalow with open air bathroom. Delicious breakfast with home- cooked food. Friendly staff and attractive gardens. Nice size pool with plenty of shade on those hot days. Lots of tropical fish just off shore, but remember most of the coral is not alive. Great to hire a fisherman’s boat for a sunset cruise overlooking Mt Agung.
Excellent. Well located beautiful ”
On the best sandy beach in Amed. Being a little black at the top of the beach watch the heat on the feet. Beautiful little hotel nice staff. looked after us really well. Snorkeling out the front teally good nice coral and fish. We will be back.
we had a family room, ocean view. it was peaceful. Far enough from the road, other bungalow may be more noisy. On the negative side, the taxi service from hotel is very expensive compared to local taxi service. some restaurants will provide you free taxi to pick you up and bring you back.
Charming place right in the beach.”
This was our fourth stay here. We love being right on the beach. We had to swim farther to reach the coral than in the past but it was still special. The pool has been enlarged and still looks like a tropical paradise.
Thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay at Coral View Villas. The Villas are located in a quieter part of Amed but is close to good local restaurants. The traditional style Villas set in a tropical garden located in Lipah Beach were clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast consisted of fruit, yoghurt, eggs or pancakes, homemade bread and jam or peanut t butter. The beach is black sand and busy with the local fishermen living their daily lives. Nice place to snorkel & see fish and Coral. We shall be back.
Love this place ”
This was our 2nd time here. Loved it so much the first time we came back and requested the exact same bungalow. Coral Views has great views, rooms are clean and have character - top verandah means we can sit separate from our adult children or all together as we choose. Restaurant nearby has good food and choice. Can't wait to go back.
We were in the garden villa and almost everything about this place was excellent. The facilities and the staff were awesome. It was impecibly clean and was great value. It was just a tad far from the recommended restaurants and bars but there was still plenty around close by that were good. Snorkelling straight off the beach was good. Beautiful hotel accomodation.
Beautiful accomodation but traffic noise easily heard from room as well as the man snoring in the room next to us. No hot water either. Hot water I can do without, sleep I cannot. The extra bed was just a top mattress on the floor.
Not Quite What You Expect...”
Facilities are nice for beachfront 2 bedroom not far from Amed central, 1 night US$150...nice views, yes there is coral, plenty of fish, even turtle sighting, waterfall pool, onsite dining, and hotel staff were accommodating, but the beach attendants kept it from being ideal. Beach chairs were extra and a couple of the attendants behavior made my girl friend on the beach feel very uncomfortable while I was snorkeling. Quite unusual and happened on more than one occasion. Another less than ideal situation was the location of massages...right on the front terrace. Several men, hotel attendants iincluded were standing right in front of our villa watching as we both took massages with only towels on. Needless to say they were not looking at me. Neither of us are modest or easily offended, but we both would never do that again. Overall it was a great get away from UBud with those exceptions.
Super bad AC”
The hotel is not new but very nicely maintained except for the air conditioning was absolutely horrible. We were a family of my wife and myself and our pregnant daughter and her husband, plus our son and his wife and two infant children. So we had reserved three cottages. But when we arrived and turned on the A.C.s they just didn't do anything the AC units are old and very under capacity, bad no fan to help. All of us requested other rooms and with a lot of room dancing we all finally got rooms that were tolerable but just barley. The worst thing is with some producing the stall admitted to me that they suffer with this on a daily basis. I live in the Amazon in Brazil so know hot and how to maintain ACs. The guests and staff suffer because someone thinks they are saving money by putting in under capacity AC,s. "Not so". Staff was very nice, location good, grounds nice, and restaurant very good but I can not recommend staying in this hotel until they upgrade the AC.
Great beach location”
One night/ 2 day stay at coral villas to snorkel. Separate villas for 3 couples, great location right on the beach. Dinner meals very good - Australian Chef. Breakfast just ok. This is a really good choice if looking in the region of Amed for family or friends to stay in a large garden setting near beach. Nice pool.
We love this place. This was our third visit.”
We stayed in rooms 33 and 34 our first visit 3 years ago. The rooms then had hand carved Balinese doors with chain and padlock closure and cinderblock walls. Room 33 now has updated doors (i do miss the charming ones) plastered walls and mosquito netting. The remodeled bathroom has a giant "stone" tub and double shower head. I love the bamboo ladder towel rack. There was a refrigerator in the room. One needs to ask to borrow a hair dryer. In the morning we could hear the family that lived over the back wall when we went out to the bathroom. My husband wears a brace on his ankle so being able to walk to the beach to snorkel is a great plus. Recommend this for a lovely Balinese experience - it is not a cookie cutter modern hotel, a plus in my book.
