Hard 2 Beat”
4 the cost it is excellent. A superior room is fine, don't pay for a deluxe as U only get a few more cable TV channels. It is only a few blocks from Robinson's mall&this is the biggest mall in the Philippines they have 5 levels. Plus they have a free breakfast which is very good.
small rooms ”
Ok location, most rooms are very small and no windows. The price would be ok but after adding tax etc it becomes quite dear 4 what you get. Sure you can find better accommodations in Malate/Ermita average that price. March 2019 reception is under renovation + new restaurant in ground floor soon to open.
DELEVELOP AND UPGRADE MORE”
more upgrade with regards to your rooms... unlike to other hotels even in single room they have refrigerator it is really important in one room....towels must be replace its too old... toilet tries must be upgraded no drinking water....AC must also replace it. it cannot accommodate the entire room its too hot..
No towels provided”
On checking into my room around 2 pm there were no towels provided. Mentioned it to housekeeping staff working on the floor, then to reception on the way out. Was told they were waiting on laundry. Returning to my room a couple of hours later there were still no towels. Had to take towels from another room on the floor that had been made up for next incoming guest
Great location for US Embassy and St Luke's medical. Shopping close by.
I have always gotten the free complimentary breakfast but have never eaten it. This time, I had my wife with me and was told that because I made my reservations differently that I was not entitled to the free breakfast, but the problem with that is I made the reservations like I always make them. The first night, the water heater in the shower didn't work and was told that maintenance had gone home so instead of giving us a room with a good shower, we had to wait until maintenance to come the next day. I have stayed here 4 times with no problem, but not this time.
Good for a few nights”
Stayed a few times ar this budget hotel. Overall good for the price i payed. Rooms are small but clean. No space to put your things. Good aircon and water. My only concern, is the noise from the hallway. Hotel staff and other guests makes it hard to sleep in the morning... Very noisy! New reception and restaurant on groundfloor. The old restaurant at 7 floor is still there.
Cheap price gets you but we are still customers. The room they gave us was a run down and when we got ourselves comfortable on bed; the linens and the pillowcases were obviously not changed to whom who was there before us, it smelt like a dude sweats. The AC was leaking when we complaint it to the receptionist, no action was made and when we called housekeeping to clean the leaks, guess what? No one came. The positive on this place? Its near Robinsons Manila.
good central point for a night or two before tavelling to or from from airport , rooms are clean , and everything works, and the staff always friendly , i use this place each and every time i need to have a night or two in Manila , only thing i dont utilize is the free breakfast , which on my penultimate trip was quite simply disorganized and it was Philippine food (not my taste)
Have been here before and will stay again. Although I did take one star away since there is no room to open luggage unless on the bed. But then again, its such a great price, im not even sure taking one star away is justified.
Older hotel that’s affordable in the Ermita district ”
The hotel is very near Manila Ocean Park and the U.S. Embassy. It isn’t new and fancy so it doesn’t boast amenities or modern decor but if you need a place to lay your head in quiet comfort and safety, it’s as good a place as any.
Good stay for the price ”
Small room. No place for your bags if they big. Good shower, tv and aircon. I did not try their restobar, but it looked ok. The negativ was The noise from the cleaningstaff in the hallway. They shout, sing and talking loud from early morning. But for the price it was good for a few nights. Best lokation, close to everything
Nice place for the money.”
There are a lot of bad reviews and happy I stayed there. Good location close to US Embassy, Robinson'S mall, Restaurants, and bars with music or what ever you like. The room was newly reonnovated, clean, and the lobby is under rennovatio. No windows in the room best time I have sleep until 9:30 in Manilla. There were no dogs, car noises, loud music or people. Will stay there again. Did not try the food. Did not smell anything bad. Had a deluxe room.
Room is very small and air condition is terrible. Staff don’t care”
We are not happy staying on this hotel. Staff ignore us when we ask the toilet paper and a clean towel. The room is very small no window and the air condition is not working right. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
Pros -beautiful exterior of the building especially at night -slight santorini inspired exterior design -5 mins walk to city proper -big serving of continental breakfast only -daily replenish of water (1 bottle per person per day) -you can eat your breakfast at your room without extra charge -good view from their restaurant -orientation is conducted by the receptionist upon check in -airport transfer is available for 150 per person -i love the smell of their liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner -comfortable bed, pillow and comforter -the family room is spacious -pool access room is available -accommodating staff Cons -expensive tour packages, good thing we did searched other options like Jaxter Boat Rent for more cheaper rates and good service -expensive food in the restaurant -no complimentary coffee; available only in breakfast -black ants climbing on the wall (near the bed) -you need to go upstairs to reach the restaurant which is not applicable for kids and senior citizen -the water in the pool is cold -poor in internet connection -for airport transfer, it is only available as early as 5am -check out hotel 12 noon but they insisted to let us be picked up 11:30 am; the result was we were too early for our flight
Gran Prix first visit”
Dear Staff, if you are in Manila, you must have your belongings specially passport, cash etc in a Safety Box, this hotel only have one Box right underneath the receptionist front desk. I really cannot see travellers leaving their cash passport and other belongings right close to the reception desk. The photos look great on Agoda, but they are deceiving a little. Sorry but this hotel needs to improve their safety procedures. John from sydney
Disgusted.....no hot water and no WiFi”
Filthy, whatever written amenities offered are all lies. Hot water only for 2mins then all cold water even when I was transferred to another room. NO WiFi AVAILABLE EVEN AT THE FRONT DESK......NO MEALS GIVEN EVEN I PAID $53 FOR 2 DAYS.
Close to malls
The only complaint is the mattress.
