A lot of renovations going on. Room had a disgustly dirty towel in the bathroom which I reported and was graciously apoligised for. Great location, excellent staff, lovely pools. Would highly recommend any length of stay.

We spent one night, and it was one night too many. Starting from an extremely unpleasant staff at the check-in to the whole experience of living in a bottle truly truly hateful never to come back again

Rooms clean , good pool centre of Sanur so easy to get to restaurants Cafes and shops. Didnt bother with the expensive breakfast as Cafes on the beach do great deals for Breakfast at a quarter of the price.

Lovely clean and friendly with a great beach”
This is our second trip and we were upgraded to a suite, it was absolutely beautiful, we went bike riding every day after a beautiful breakfast.I found all the staff were lovely and friendly, we will definitely be going back this year.

Nice property showing its age, not 5 stars”
Came with friends. Older property showing its age. Check in felt like boot camp with lecture on where we could use what towels and given cards to get our pool towels and breakfasts. Then we were given one key on a huge key chain for each room. A request for a key for each person was refused and we were told we could leave the keys at the desk. At that point i wanted to leave. We were shown to our room in the far corner of the property and it was a dark dirty hole. One of our friends came by and commented their room was much better. We went and saw it and then went to the front desk and asked to see the manager. Of course he was not available. After a wait was eventually shown to another room which at least was clean. Other friends said they had been taken to a nice room but it had only one bed so they had to change rooms. Sent the heavy guns in at that point. The wife went to the front desk and got that room. Facilities were nice and breakfast okay. Staff was friend Wouldn't return.

Great position in Sanur”
I was given upgrade to ocean view room but due renovations at next door temple, staff loudly talking around pool at 5.30am and constant baliense music playing found it too noisy. Sun beds need cleaning and deck boards loose everywhere. The room was clean but without any character and bathroom needed attention . Front desk staff friendly but dining staff soso. Overall would not rave about it for $$ $'s paid.

Beach units are a bit tired. But still lovely. Shower over bath not always good for everyone but we know that many of the units have been updated and we would stay in one of those next time. Loved the resort.

Tired Room not 4 stars”
I have visited Griya 3 times and this was a disappointment. We stayed in room 202 in the beach wing. The bathroom had a shower over a bath and the shower head was blogged up so sprayed everywhere. The toilet lid was loose, the sink did not drain away properly. The main bedroom had an old wooden bed and the curtains did not close properly as one of them had been ripped. We told reception about our problems and they said the rooms were due for an upgrade. This is no good for us as we are staying there now. Also since our last visit there is now a total smoking ban around the pool area, pool bar area, and on the sun loungers on the beach. If I had know this I would not have booked this hotel. Another problem we encountered was the Europeans using beach towels to reserve there sun beds. They would put a their towels down and disappear for hours. Very selfish people.

We arrived and unfortunately due to a plumbing issue our room was not available ( a few)they put us into the Puri Santrian Hotel (Sister hotel) in a upgraded room with free transport and meal vouchers. The Puri Santrian was beautiful and as we only had 2 nights booked enjoyed our stay there. The only negative was in a different part of Sanur from where we wanted to be.
Great location, beautiful pools. Air conditioning in first room broken extremely noisy, when the shower was turned terrible smell however after the water ran for a while the smell disappeared. Bed was rock hard. 2nd room much quieter but aircon stopped cooling on the 2nd night maintenance temporary repaired it but it did not last all night. Same problem with the bathroom and bed also rock hard. Had to ask 3 times for the room to be serviced even then they did not service the room completely no fresh face washers, no toiletries, no bottled water. Overall very disappointed as we usually stay in another hotel much cheaper close to Griya but thought we would treat ourselves to a bit more luxury which was not the case.

Room had an adjoining door which did not provide adequate soundproofing. Kept awake with next door talking during night. Shower had mold and very disappointed that holding deposit will take over 2 weeks to refund. Never had this occur before and still waiting for the money after querying

Resort and Staff were excellent, location great, breakfast good, however out stay was ruined somewhat by the resort's lack of non smoking policies in and around the pool bar, and directly next to the childrens pool. We were forced to leave the pool area several times because of other guests continually smoking around and in the pool bar. This is just not acceptable when you consider most tourists and guests these days are non smokers. And it is unacceptably next to kiddies pool. I mentioned this to a guy on reception and he said that it was non smoking there, however nothing was done about it and they continued to leave disgusting ashtrays on the pool bar, and guest continued to smoke there.. We would hesitate to stay again for that reason.
Beautiful hotel set in well maintained and interesting gardens. Santrian suite was huge with great dressing room, sitting tv area and lovely bathroom. Three lovely pools. One on the beachfront and two within the garden areas. Would love to return. Excellent location too!

A very pleasant place to stay”
The Griya is nicely located on a strip with access to a lot of good restaurants, coffee, bars and various shops/stalls. The same can be said for the beachside pathway. Also close to a few convenience stores down the street if extra stocks for the room are required. Our room was a good size and the king-size bed was very comfortable. The daily room service was excellent and the room was always clean with sufficient bottled drinking water provided. The 'rotten egg' smell (a common Bali water problem!) that accompanied the initial bursts of the water from the shower, basin or toilet was an initial shock but we got used to it very quickly. The restaurant was good in quality and range of foods and the three pools and other amenities were great. The staff were, without exception, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Griya Santrian!

Dewi the stand in manager was excellent with communicating with the Guests to make sure they were happy etc which was a very nice touch ( thank you Dewi). Relaxing in Bali”
I’m reluctant to rave too much about how wonderful the Griya Santrian is because I want to always be able to get a room there! From the moment we were met by the so pleasant Mira at Reception until we left 8 days later, we were so impressed. The staff greet you naturally and with friendship all over the resort. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There are 3 pools ...2 away from the beach front with wonderfully serene gardens around them. The breakfast was terrific with dozens of choices. The gardens are sublime with winding paths through Balinese structures and beautiful gardens. We had a couple of minor room issues.... they were immediately fixed. The resort gateway leads straight out into the Main Street and dozens of restaurants, massage places, laundry,bars with live music are very close. At the other end of the resort is the beach and the great boardwalk along Sanur beach. Again restaurants and shops are everywhere. This was our second visit and we will definitely go back.

This hotel is in a perfect location in Sanur. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are wonderful, the pools are fantastic, the rooms are clean and well appointed and the beds are comfortable, could not fault anything, loved our stay .

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grya Santrian hotel. Wonderful settings, garden and lovely, exotic pools. The staff was very friendly, the rooms spacious and enough sun chairs at the beach. The hotel is very quiet but only a short stroll from the main road with a lot of restaurants and shops. A cosy place and for sure we will be back asap
Best hotel In Sanur ”
This hotel is always great. The rooms, even the cheapest and oldest, are super clean, roomy, comfortable and cool. The beds are always comfortable. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and always well maintained. The water features throughout the gardens are lovely. We love the quiet garden wing with the two quieter swimming pools but the big beachfront pool is good too but a bit busier. The staff are lovely and always very helpful The shower over the bathtub in some rooms is a bit annoying for us but next time I’ll ask for a walk in shower. The location is great. Right in the beach with lots of restaurants near by although the Griya ‘s food is always great too. The beach markets are only a 10 minute walk up the beach path.
